Seems like the “Thing” came to visit her in her room.
It really seems like it-and that just blows my mind to speculate about.
It looks like it might have manipulated the things it showed her and maybe drove her crazy trapping her in the corner. And at the end the “Thing” consumes another victim.
That actually makes a lot of sense since the woman says that she will stay forever, not leaving her room which is what Thing wants.
lmao, i was interpreting this as someone with super-depression who was doing literally anything to get the tiniest hit of dopamine and barely functioning beyond that.... and then i see the comments like "actually the hole is God"

So this song is about a girl who mysteriously has a hole in her room. She gets sucked inside that hole ( "As it swallows the air, like jaws of death), yet, she thinks she's in a dream. The longer she has stayed in that hole, she realizes that her dreams are real. (The lyrics "My dreams are real this time" say so.) So as she wanders inside that hole, she's like entranced by the beautiful things inside it.( "I'll keep my arms held wide, hoping for all the things that I like". ) Like she's in some sort of spell that was cast on her to never leave that hole, to never to get out of it. Hence, the lyrics, " *Doing whatever it takes to get more from the inside* "
Basically, she's trapped in there forever.

Sounds like it's very open to different meanins. I don't think the creator said specifically what it's about but there are a lot of theories. My favorite theory is that it's a metaphor for religion

This is one of my favorite songs of yours. It's not really related, but every time I listen to this, I get this thought that everyone always grows up and loses all of their wonder and curiosity, then when they see that in kids, it's now creepy and disturbing.

Steam i would love to see you, morb, and oliver making a christmas song that would be the greatest christmas present
Decided to say but this story reminds me of drug and alcohol abuse. She is addicted to this and refuses to part with the substance. I mean look at her and environment. Kinda of like something tragic happened and she turned to drugs as an escape forcing her to relive the tragedy of the past. Sometimes drugs won't help but instead wake up our demons known as the past. Waiting for a sign so they make strike and bring us down with them.,., long story short don't do drugs kids and when you are of age drink with control. Plus if something ever happens to ya remember drugs can and will make it worse. Drugs are temporary but death isn't. I hope ya people find this comment helpful. I know some kids watch this type of music we all do its good music. Also SteamPianist again don't forget about the Christmas special song I don't care how ya do it but please I hope ya read this and bare my message with heart and acceptance. OH AND MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!!

Some spent our lives doing things repeatedly and goes home tired and drained, as soon as this things get very repetitive they get more uninterested in life and we always hoped God will change our lives. Start waiting for him to give us change, give us something we want, go to church and pray thinking if their is a return to our good deeds and soon will succumb to just hoping and not acting. We people should be better than just sit and wine of our wants and needs, we need to act that's the purpose of life that God has given us. Life is just like a game you can't use cheat codes or otherwise you get consequences. Live life to the fullest, be contented and enjoy.
