niki released an actual flower version of this song on her debut album! The track is slightly remastered so it sounds different but it's the song nonetheless. I'm kind of torn between it and your cover because on one hand, flower sounds slightly less robotic in the album track but she sounds kind of out of place.
I hear the difference as well... And my feeling about the debut album version is slightly mixed. I hear few clippings on the left track which is nonexistent on your cover and the original version. I'm guessing the song got compressed too hard and hit the limiter. Anyway, I'm glad that your cover now sound good in terms of modern stereo width and loudness, it was long overdue.

Flower is my favorite vocaloid because of her voice. I'm a fan of lots of irl idol groups, and for female groups, my favorite member always ends up being the one with the lowest and most powerful voice, just like Flower. She doesn't sound too high-pitched or cutesy - not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just way too common and seems overdone at this point - and I like the almost genderless quality of her voice. Plus, the emotion and everything... the tuning on this is just amazing!
4:11 I didn't know vocaloids can sing in the whistle register! Knowledge of the mechanisms of the human voice is one thing but being able to emulate them through a digital program, with only a couple of very limited parameters to work with, is a whole other beast on its own. I still come back here every now and then but it still effects me the same way every time. I have no idea what she's saying but I can feel the desperation and I cry every time. As soon as the song started I felt sad and I don't know why I just felt so sad and I wanted to cry when I heard this song. I searched for the lyrics to know it's meaning for my own interpretation it was a love song that someone sung for his/her loved one to tell them that they want to be close to them forever I think it's sweet but the tone was so sad even tho the lyrics are very sweet so I searched for it's meaning on Google and on a page it said that "The song is about watching someone's lover die in front of them with a smiling face, and how they mourn and try to accept their death" after I read this it all makes sense that v flower was reaching out to someone as if she's holding them and crying. niki released an actual flower version of this song on her debut album! The track is slightly remastered so it sounds different but it's the song nonetheless. I'm kind of torn between it and your cover because on one hand, flower sounds slightly less robotic in the album track but she sounds kind of out of place.
It's exactly the same except for the mixing/mastering so I guess in the end it's just whichever one you like better eheh :p
I hear the difference as well... And my feeling about the debut album version is slightly mixed. I hear few clippings on the left track which is nonexistent on your cover and the original version. Flower is my favorite vocaloid because of her voice. I'm a fan of lots of irl idol groups, and for female groups, my favorite member always ends up being the one with the lowest and most powerful voice, just like Flower. She doesn't sound too high-pitched or cutesy - not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just way too common and seems overdone at this point - and I like the almost genderless quality of her voice. Plus, the emotion and everything... the tuning on this is just amazing!

Knowledge of the mechanisms of the human voice is one thing but being able to emulate them through a digital program, with only a couple of very limited parameters to work with, is a whole other beast on its own. I’m new to Vocaloid but I think she might be my favorite
As soon as the song started I felt sad and I don't know why I just felt so sad and I wanted to cry when I heard this song. I searched for the lyrics to know it's meaning for my own interpretation it was a love song that someone sung for his/her loved one to tell them that they want to be close to them forever I think it's sweet but the tone was so sad even tho the lyrics are very sweet so I searched for it's meaning on Google and on a page it said that "The song is about watching someone's lover die in front of them with a smiling face, and how they mourn and try to accept their death" after I read this it all makes sense that v flower was reaching out to someone as if she's holding them and crying. I just had to share it...
It doesn't necessarily have to be a lover, it could be a family member or a friend, but one thing is for sure: The singer loved the person who died.
