There are countless food blogs with pretty photos but no one can ever compete with Martha for one simple reason: execution. A Martha recipe, properly followed, will always come out right. A team of people test the recipe before it is released. This level of quality control is not possible with the average food blogger. Only a couple of other bakers maintain the same level of precision. Anna Olson is on that level but only for baking whereas Martha does way more than food. Who will the next generation have to guide them?
I miss the days when cooking shows were like this...focused on the actual food. No reality show formats, no game shows, no eliminations, no egos, and no over-the-top personalities.
First of all, I missed all 20,000 hours of videos after 2019. I cannot believe how much I learned from one year of watching in 2018 versus where you are today. Amazing how your path was filled with life and greenery. I love this. One day, when I permanently leave America, I will share your page and make someone else's life better. Nice homestead. And wow, you can bake...😂😂😂😂 next is cycling while juggling knives 😂😂😂😂😂. I don't know any of you but it always feels great when the people I supported in the beginning do well. Great show! My Bohemian grandmother made streudel. I spent every morning watching her bake, as a child. We got up at 3:30am. My father had a pecan farm in San Saba County, home of Comanche Indians and Tommy Lee Jones. In November, I would go with my father to the farm to harvest the pecans. My Dad would rent a truck, and picked up a teenager in town to help. Even though I was just a slip of a girl, I was madly in love with the boy. In the middle of a day, the truck broke. We had to go over deer fences to get to the Rainwater farm. My Dad would toss me over the fence to the boy, who caught me. (I was thrilled! I knew it meant we would marry!). When we got to Mrs. Rainwater's, she lived in a one room house with a table chair, stove and bed. She was canning something on her table. My Dad asked to borrow her 1922 Model T black pickup. She said, "Sure! The keys are in it!". We drove to town. The front seat could only hold two people, so I rode in the back of the truck. The teenager had hair like Elvis Presley's, and dressed like James Dean. He bought me candy. By the time the truck was fixed by the mechanic, and my Dad and I were on the way home, the West Texas sky was ablaze with stars so bright, you could see the Milky Way cut across the sky!

Martha's brown butter cookies are the best I've ever had and so easy to make. At Christmas, it's nice to roll them in a mixture of red and green sugar. 🤤
I used to enjoy eating macaroons in Canada...but its been a long time since i have eaten them...i may try making them after you Martha thank you from T&T
In Germany we dip the bottom of macaroons into chocolate. :) And add breadcrumbs to browned butter for cauliflower for a little crunch. The world connects via cooking so well. ❤️ Thank you for adding quality content to this world, I am a big fan of your work. 😊 My favourite macaroons are with entire eggs beaten meringue-like and then you add fresh organic orange peel and a little Grand Marnier/Triple Sec/orange liqueur to the coconut batter. And you bake them first and then dry them with the oven door ajar some more. For everybody who likes a little lightness in their macaroons.

And zest 2 (organic or thoroughly washed with hot water and baking soda) oranges, avoiding the white part of the peel. Then you beat 3 eggs and a pinch of salt on high and slowly add 150 grams of sugar until the sugar dissolves and the eggs become like a liquidy meringue/zabaione. Then fold in 275g of coconut, 2 tablespoons of orange liqueur and the orange zest. Take a cookie scoop or 2 teaspoons and dollop little heaps on the baking sheet. They spread, but not crazily. Then bake 8 minutes in the middle rack with the door closed and then for a further 12 with a wooden spoon stuck in the oven door so it is slightly ajar. They should have a bit of golden brown colour at the top Let them cool a little on a cookie rack or on the sheet and enjoy! You can, of course, also add a little vanilla. The recipe is from a German magazine called "Brigitte" and publicly available if you speak German. I have made these for 20+ years now.

My 2 nd of four daughters, who is now a doctor said tonight when I brought up your cakes, That your recipes are amazing, especially your lemon curd, which she made years ago. She is the most meticulous person I know, and studies details, so she’ll never lose a life. Once, while she was doing a C section, she said the physicians assistant, a very arrogant person, whisked the baby away, but didn’t like my daughter being a doctor, so didn’t tell her that she didn’t know how to do an umbilical catheter, and the baby died. The perfectionism in your cooking is very helpful.

Chocolate ginger molasses cookies are so delicious and turned out just like yours. I’m so glad I tried the recipe since now on they are my favorite! My 2 nd of four daughters, who is now a doctor said tonight when I brought up your cakes, That your recipes are amazing, especially your lemon curd, which she made years ago. She is the most meticulous person I know, and studies details, so she’ll never lose a life. Once, while she was doing a C section, she said the physicians assistant, a very arrogant person, whisked the baby away, but didn’t like my daughter being a doctor, so didn’t tell her that she didn’t know how to do an umbilical catheter, and the baby died. The perfectionism in your cooking is very helpful.

Chocolate ginger molasses cookies are so delicious and turned out just like yours. I’m so glad I tried the recipe since now on they are my favorite! Yes, they are spicy and that what makes them stand out of the rest. Just love them since they are getting better the next day and leave a nice aftertaste.

These were so simple and tasty. I used cream instead of milk (heavy cream) and so I did seem to need more.
I was careful not to knead.
I brushed tops with egg yolk and sprinkled with table sugar
