My 2022 EQS 580 can be driven with one pedal when regen is strong and drive mode is eco, and creep is off. I wish those settings were stored with the driver profile so that I wouldn't have to set them for every drive but it's a Mercedes not a Tesla. Thanks for the review.
Yep. Someone mentioned that in my EQS group. It’s decent though not as strong from what I was used too. I guess I was just used to having one pedal driving even with creep on in our Tesla, but hey, this is a Mercedes.
@mailaandjames Yep, most Tesla owners do comment on it being more gradual than they are used to. What a lot of reviewers find disconcerting is the pedal moving on its own during full regen. I've gotten used to it. I rarely use one pedal drive since I live in an area with little traffic.
Came here to say this but glad someone got to it before me. Completely changed my driving experience similar to Tesla and was happy. I don't mind that it's not as strong but it's very affective. The break pedal I'm used to, doesn't scare me personally but understand how it's uncomfortable for some. On another note...the 'self driving' is MUCH less scarier on the Mercedes than the Tesla. I'm more at ease on the Mercedes
Hi, thanks for sharing. I am considering getting an EQE SUV. Do you have any advice or opinions regarding liability? Do you recommend the car any drawbacks and can you charge at any Tesla charger or only certain chargers thanks.
We’ve had the car for 10-11 months now and no issues at all. I just wish there’s on/off or lock/unlock just like Tesla/Rivian/Lucid. Mercedes is supposed to start using Tesla superchargers this year using an adapter. At this time, there are very minimal Tesla chargers that has Magic dock. MB gets 2 years free charging for 30 mins in Electrify America. I was also looking at the EQE500 SUV. 2024 Model comes standard with hyperscreen for the 500s.
Mercedes Benz is approved of level 3 full self driving in California and Nevada. This is on specific roads, speed, and right hardware/software. Ours didn’t come with the hardware. www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/news-and-media/california-dmv-approves-mercedes-benz-automated-driving-system-for-certain-highways-and-conditions/
Thanks to my EQS group on Facebook. One pedal driving is possible with strong regen and creep turned off.

I tried the tip from the Facebook group. Turned off creep and kept on strong regen. I can do one pedal drive even in comfort mode.
Keep up the good work sir
The car has a creep function. To get full one pedal driving you have to turn it off.

@@mailaandjames thanks so much for your quick reply so if I get the adapter, can I charge at any Tesla supercharger here in South Florida?
How is the glare on the hyperscreen while driving on sunny days?
Haven’t really noticed. Maybe the window tints are helping since it hasn’t bothered me at all.
Curious if it has a self drive/auto pilot option like the Tesla?
Ours has the equivalent of “enhanced autopilot”. It can drive straight, change lanes on its own, perpendicular and parallel park.

Mercedes is the first car that will be equipped with 3 level autonomous officially.
Isn’t this a $140K plus car?
Depending on the trim and options, it can be much higher or much lower.
