A true statement if I ever herd one. TOM really is the Mr. Roger's of our generation and still provides us with helpful and useful life lesson we can pass on to the next generation. Steve Blum is and always will be the voice of our childhood.
Today at 33 this message means a lot , family and friends passing or moving away 😢 but these things come with life and if I let them break me how could I truly consider myself living . Thanks Tom ❤
I love how a whole generation of adults calls "adult swim" the highlight of our generation.....almost as if to say Go Swim young ones!!! Now at 33 i can actually say that anime most definitely saved my life and i never knew it was that important in my development....just goes to show you how much a dreamer we really are as Tom is more than just a A.I. he is more like an icon of the attitude era of life...
Toonami out here providing a generation with much needed life advice. I'm glad Toonami was apart of my childhood back in 08. I am still glad it is still around during tough times like now, all at the age of 24. No matter how old you are, you will make it through all the humps and obstacles. You are not alone
As 35 year old, I just love how it's said that it's okay to lie there and cry for a little if you need to. In life, we're expected to just get right back up after a traumatic event and keep going as if nothing happened, but it almost never works that way. The overwhelming majority of us are not like fictional action heroes who can shrug off anything with a snappy one-liner, and we need time to process what we've gone through before getting back on our feet, and to remember to let others do the same.
Im here cause im a toonami kid, Tom has saved me from the toughest times in my life and still till this day I come back on what his said in past I’m 31. Thank you Tom you saved me from a lot and taught me a lot every time I hear him it makes me cry thank you forever a toonami kid
I was fresh out of high school when this came out. Im 25 now. Every now and then, i come back to this to this to help fight threw the pain. Thank you toonami and thank you tom for a memorable childhood.
I really needed this today. I'm so glad that I got to grow up with this kind of influence, and that it's still around for people today. Even as an adult, sometimes I need to hear this again, because getting back up can feel so pointless sometimes. When the world, and even your family is against you just being you, it can be hard to motivate yourself to keep moving forward. Thank you Toonami for being a beacon of positivity and support.
"Fall down seven times, get up eight." This one phrase that so many great anime portray has gotten me through almost ten years of living with a chronic illness. I nearly cried watching this, as it reminded me of everything I've been through, and everything I've managed to get back up from thanks to anime. :']
Some time long ago a man once told me "you can learn over a thousand things in your life, but a beat down can teach you a million things about yourself". my first fight taught me that I was weak, scared, Reckless, unexperienced but most of all alone, I fight alone and one day will die alone. But I learned along the way some folks tell me that I'm Brave humble loyal, hard working caring and a honest decent bastard with a strong heart who doesn't know when to give up. Sometimes In life you gotta play the role of the loser, that way you know when to win the fights that matter. And if you reader come this far, I'm pretty sure you can win your battles, just make sure there the ones you can be proud of in the long run.
Thank you Toonami when I was alone you were there . U save my life because you spend time with me and wanted me as a fan.when my own parents didn't want to spend time with me
Wow its almost been 10 year since I saw this I was so young and I didn't understood what he ment by "life will punch you right in the face" but now I know
A new Toonami life lesson speech which is to the point and inspirational. This is one of the reasons why Toonami is so dear to the people who grew up with it.
Thank you tom. For all the years of joy you brought me,all the anime you anime you introduced many i watch still to this day,and the lessons you gave. Rest in piece.
I was looking everywhere for these bumps because toonami is just made of awesome because they do these special bumps like this one. You have a new subscriber.
This speech is a one hit wonder. Whenever something is too hard for me to handle, such as college, making friends and all that stuff, it doesn't stop me from quitting. Sometimes I feel pretty down, but this speech keep my head up and handle my business to achieve my goals in life. I love Toonami when I was a kid and still love it to this day. It's not merely about the shows it offers but the way the block delivers its concept.
"It's the 'getting back up' that counts"... That message was "right on time" for me; inspirational AND motivational. Thanks T.O.M. Toonami is DEFINITELY back bitches!
Thank you Tom. This is what makes me a Toonami lover-having to hear your speeches and with the way you say it. thanks, this totally brightens me infinity....
This is why people wanted Toonami back. Not because of the great shows. Not because it's in space. But because of TOM and how he stands with us and helps us.
This is my life motto now, I really needed this speech tonight, I fell down recently and this got me back up again and I'm not going to stop getting up, no matter what.
Sometimes, when I go out and about with a trusted friend or group to Bar-Hop and meet people, I meet someone who could REALLY use this video. It hits so many ranges and speaks to everyone in a wise way, regardless of race, religion, etc. It's just a beautiful message that I could see raising up the occasional person that I meet on escapades with close friends 🙌😎
I played this one randomly just to hear Toms voice, didn't realize what he would have to say would hit me so hard. I'll always keep on dreaming, no matter what.
For me, Life is full of surprises, It can be sad, It can be hard, It can be weird, It can be funny, It can be nice, It can be harsh, It can be everything, But that doesn't mean is always bad nor terrible, Because life is something worth living for, It about how we live it,see it,feel it and understanding it, We all make mistakes, but we also make great things happen, Like having a good childhood, Good friends,Good family,Good people,Good times,Good moments,Good memories,Good lessons and of course,A Good life, Life will always have it's ups and downs, but we always find hope, faith, positivity and a possibly to move on,stand up and never giving up and never turning back,so no matter how bad things get,we will find reasons to smile back and keep moving forward. For better or worse,Life always finds a way. Thank you Tom and Toonami, for all the good times i have with you. And that includes you too. Thank you all.👍
With how poorly the current generation looks right now, we need T.O.M and Toonami more than ever before. And from this speech, T.O.M is molding another generation for the better. Glad to have ya back, four years is just way too long.
When U hear this kinda speech from a loved 1, it leaves U feeling like they were just saying shit to comfort U.. T.O.M. says it, and it's VERY insiteful & carries actual meaning!
It feels as if I'm being visited by the child version of myself from the past when I see these promo bits. Back then I used to wonder why there wasn't anyone else on that massive spaceship with TOM. Now that I look back on it as an adult it feels more like we were all actually on that ship, metaphorically. All of us when we were still children and teenagers just along for the ride. It seems like it all happened so long ago; I assume we're all in our late 20s or 30s by now. How are you all? I hope you're all doing well and life is working out for ya.
This is what I felt like was missing from the Toonami of old, not just the kick ass cartoons but the life lessons from the master and this is a fine addition. Fall down seven times, get back up eight.
0:02 its been so long since ive seen that thing. . .ahh, brings me back to the days of seeing it right before Dragon Ball Z came on. .or after. .or one of them. .idk, just brings me back :)
this is why toonami is awesome not only does it provide us good action packed anime every week but it also has a serious/deep/philosophical side to it that it shares with us giving encouragement showing compassion and teaching life lessons the anime are presented to us in a good way there is nothing else on earth like toonami it makes up for the rest of cn being gay i love this block
Their was a day when the sun rose on a day without Toonami, That was life giving us a sucker punch, life didn't expect us to fight back, I knew we had won when Toonami came back to us. TOONAMI FOREVER!!!!!
I was going thru some things and got hurt by this girl and then I was WACTHING deadman wonderland , and this amazing speech came on I'm gonna keep fighting the good fight
God damn, Tom. You're....you're right. This is what I've always loved about Toonami. Cause it isn't about the shows as much as it is about the programming block itself and how it carries out. The down tempo D&B, Tom's personality itself, and the intros and musical videos, along with the speeches. Kinda like how [AS] has its shows, but the programming block ITSELF has a personality.
I remember actually shedding a tear or two in my mid-to-late teen years when I saw this. TOM was my Mr. Rogers growing up.
Never thought of it like that, but it's true. Well said.
A true statement if I ever herd one. TOM really is the Mr. Roger's of our generation and still provides us with helpful and useful life lesson we can pass on to the next generation.
Steve Blum is and always will be the voice of our childhood.
That is the perfect way to explain him. He was Mr. Rogers 🥹
Toonami still motivating me at the age of 26
That's great :)
age of 27
You're probably 29 now, but here I am at 26 and can totally relate.
36
25 and agree
Today, more then ever, I needed that Tom.
Cuppycakes Qt today, I'm with you. Ty Toonami
Today at 33 this message means a lot , family and friends passing or moving away 😢 but these things come with life and if I let them break me how could I truly consider myself living . Thanks Tom ❤
This 1 minute life advice speech is better that 90% of all the 20 minute motivation videos I’ve seen
30 years old and I still get that same feeling everytime Toonami outs out something motivational. This one in particular still makes me tear up.
28 right now and I feel the exact same way
Anime, teaching more life lessons than most of the garbage on tv.
Its how schools should be.
Soooo true
lol agreed
kira0080 dude this is less anime and more the writers for toonami
toonami and anime are like those friends that feel more like family than family
i come back here every now and again when things get rough, just for the reminder, thanks toonami
Me too.
back again..... and relly need it atm, thanks toonami
Fall down 7 times, get up 8.

Good old Tom. I feel like a child again
To the person that post these, I sincerely want to say thank you. These speeches are so refreshing and it’s nice having a dose of nostalgia with it. 🙏

Always come back to this video when life gets hard. Thanks Toonami (And Junior for uploading this)
Toonami has motivated me to keep moving forward and I still am to this day.
Thank you Toonami when I was alone you were there . U save my life because you spend time with me and wanted me as a fan.when my own parents didn't want to spend time with me
Nice to see TOM doing inspirational speeches again. Really shows how much work [as] puts into Toonami, even with the low budget.
Wow its almost been 10 year since I saw this
I was so young and I didn't understood what he ment by "life will punch you right in the face" but now I know
30 years old and I just had my daughter. Going to be a trip showing her stuff like this or referencing it.
8 years and I still find myself coming back to this video. Keep getting back up, Folks.
A new Toonami life lesson speech which is to the point and inspirational. This is one of the reasons why Toonami is so dear to the people who grew up with it.
Still at 25 Toonami still motivates and helps out. Don't really watch these animes anymore BUT these little skits are awesome.
Thank you tom. For all the years of joy you brought me,all the anime you anime you introduced many i watch still to this day,and the lessons you gave. Rest in piece.
it does not matter how old you are, we all need to be reminded some times.

This is EXACTLY what I needed to hear right now. Many thanks.
I needed this😭
I can't believe it's been almost 10 years since the Toonami reboot began airing
This is why people wanted Toonami back. Not because of the great shows. Not because it's in space. But because of TOM and how he stands with us and helps us.
Toonami for life.
This helped my through my senior year of high school, the death of family/friends this year. Thanks Tom 🙌

Good Spech. It´s sad, the creation of a good song, only for never be released. Brian is a genius.

This and the "A Boy has the Right to Dream" speech are some of the best pieces of advice a father can give to their son.
This is what I felt like was missing from the Toonami of old, not just the kick ass cartoons but the life lessons from the master and this is a fine addition. Fall down seven times, get back up eight.

Well said Tom, best advice I heard in a while

An inspiration speech in Steve Blum's voice. My day just got 1000000 times better.
Loved this. The music especially.

Steven Bloom really should be a therapist he really knows how to give people advice on how to deal with hard times.
I was going thru some things and got hurt by this girl and then I was WACTHING deadman wonderland , and this amazing speech came on I'm gonna keep fighting the good fight
Glad to see something actually trying to teach the children that watch the station something valuable.
I’m here at 29 this is my moto! I watch this when I’m feeling down

I would think back on this promo when I was going through basic training.
