    IMHO, the '67 Beaumont is a beauty. Love the rear tail-lamps. Canada did not switch over to metric (dominant) instrumentation until the mid to late 70's. So cars built prior to that time-frame had speedometers that will in MPH.

    In Canada we had a Beaumont Cheetah with a 427....not sure if it's similar. I think it was on a 69 to 70 model.

      There was a shop in Vancouver that built them. He's said to be the second place in NA behind Nickey Chevrolet to be making dealer built super cars.From what I could find out he only done up Beaumonts . Sounds like there were only 10 427/450 hp Beaumonts ever produced. There is so little out there about it that some of the info maybe off a tad but that's what they're saying. I wonder if Conroy Pontiac , the place that made the Cheetah, is still around.

      In Maple Ridge B.C there is one or 2 of those Cheata's . One of them was a green one I seen at the Abbotsford trades car show a few years back. I have a plain Jain I love them because of there distinct trim and interior options.👍

      They are very collectible, especially the SD396 models. They are essentially Chevelles but much rarer.

  • @craigjorgensen4637

    Nice car but I never understood why American cars had to be produced strangely for the Canadian market?
    In the mid 60’s they made full sized Pontiacs on Chevy frames and front suspensions! They looked very strange
    and had oddball grills and other things. They had poor acceptance in the US market and very poor resale values.
    Not “bad” cars by any means but just strange. The question begs...why? I would hate to have to find irreplaceable body
    parts in case they were needed.

    • @loucostabile
      @loucostabile  4 роки тому

      Not sure why the Canadian market had different models either? Maybe a Viewer can share knowledge.

    • @craigjorgensen4637

      Lou Costabile That’s what I was hoping. I know a guy with a 1954 Ford convertable. It has a flathead V8 when it should have a
      Y block overhead and it has a 1954 Mercury dashboard and an ugly grill. Just strange! Again...why?

  • @adamp2816

    That car should have a 67 vented hood like a 67 super sport Chevelle that is not the correct hood N Shit just saying 🤓unless its all pieced together
