My next video will be more of an informative resin beginner video where I will be discussing what I personally think you would need to get started with resin. If you guys have any other video suggestions please let me know down below.
@@daniella9787 Hi! So for epoxy resin you can’t use a UV light to cure them. Epoxy resin and UV resin are completely different. So you have to wait the 24-48 hours for the epoxy resin pieces to cure on their own. 💖
This is probably a really dumb question but are we allowed to sell items we produce using your molds that we purchase? Sorry, I'm new to this and not quite sure what's allowed but I love your work!
@@silsies5429 Interestingly enough I get this question quite often and it’s not a dumb question. Yes you can sell charms/items that you have made with my molds. The one thing you can’t do with my molds is making something and then remold it and sell the mold. I do not allow that. 💖
Girl... I just found your videos a few days ago and wow am I amazed. I saw a few other people's tutorials but I really love yours! You really are amazingly creative, extremely informative, plus your soothing voice and relaxing music. This is better than any ASMR video. Thank you so much for your hard work!
I just found your videos it's a long time later but I love these charms and I have been doing resin for a while and you have inspired me to find these molds and make some of these for Christmas friends you have a great day and these were very creative don't cut yourself short you are good
Just binge watched all your videos on the last few days and love all of it! Thanks you for the safety tips upfront, just ordered mine before I get started tinkering with resin. You’re amazeballs 💖
Love it! One mold I've been looking for to turn into a Shaker, is one on the masculine side. If you or anyone on here have suggestions, let me know. I had made a special shaker for my grandson (5) for his bday. His older brother (21) and his father both wanted to bribe the little one for his shaker, so my daughter stated that now I would have to send the 'boys' a shaker each, or they will feel neglected, lol. Just love it. It's great to know your family appreciates the little things you make. Much love to all. ❤️
It's beautiful! Thank you for this- I've been having a hard time trying to fill a shaker mold with baby oil with a mold that doesn't have the cutout for the needle nose squeeze bottle. I hope I'm making sense lol. This changes everything!
This is the first time I've ever seen your videos. I'm amazed at how cute the globes are. I want to try and make some but I'm not confident I can do a good job. How can I get your mold? Do you sell your finished products? I'd love to buy some globes. I can wait to watch more of your videos.
I want to start making resin trays using Pokémon cards like I’ve seen before, what supplies would I need besides the cards (cause I’ve already got those). Should I use UV resin or Epoxy for it?
You can use UV resin for casting in smaller molds! For example they have tiny molds for shaker fillers. You could also fully dome the top too with UV resin instead of epoxy. And instead of baby oil, you can try mineral oil! I’m not sure about glycerin. I’ve also heard of people using distilled water, too. 💕
Based on my research as well as what I have seen on Instagram, they have had some questionable scandals. For instance, a few years back they filed a lawsuit against the US government for the right to deny contraceptives to employees, which I am not mistaken was approved. Then they were smuggling biblical artifacts from other countries and some other political motivated things they did this year.
@@SweetArtCrafts Most companies do not provide insurance that pays for contraceptives, regardless of religious affiliation. It’s really not a huge deal considering they are a private company. Birth control is not very expensive, at least not the pill. The smuggling of biblical items sounds like bogus and why would it matter anyway? I get the concern of not wanting to support companies that don’t align with your values, but it’s interesting that you buy so much from Walmart yet don’t care for Hobby Lobby. Walmart is objectively a worse corporation. In a perfect world we’d all support our locally owned art stores, but unfortunately because of the lockdown most of them are likely closed permanently. So who do we go to? Big corps like Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Amazon.
@@alttacky2194 I guess you somehow know me personally to know that I “shop at Walmart” so much when I do not. It’s my personal choice to support a company or not.
I do it by volume. My cups have little marks on them for ounces. Also if you are using 1:1 ratio resin you do equal amounts of each the resin and the hardener. I mainly use 2:1 ratio resins so I do 2 parts resin and 1 part hardener.
@@SweetArtCrafts So for example. When you begin working on your first layer, in the measuring cup do you add 15ML plus 15ML altogether equaling 30ML of the 2:1. Is that enough to cover the first layer in the mold? How much of the 2:1 do I mix together to dome? In order to have enough each time also preventing myself from using too much as well.
@@____-pc4xx I see what you mean, also for the 2:1 ratio resin it would be 30 ml of resin and 15 ml of hardener. For 1:1 (which most resins are) it would be 15ml resin and 15 ml hardener. But to know how much to use for each piece, I usually put either water or rubbing alcohol into the mold and pour it back into a measurement cup to see how much resin I need. Please keep in mind though, some resins suggest you mixing a certain amount of resin in order for it to cure properly. So some resins suggest like 50 ml of resin and hardener combined to be mixed and you just have to either not use the extra resin or pour it into an extra mold. Hopefully that makes sense.
I’ve seen some people use it but it’s never worked out for me because the UV resin would always leave a weird oily feeling to it and it’s never as shiny as epoxy resin.

Hey a question. Instead of curing rhem for 2 and 24 hours can i just use a uv lamp to cure them?

Does the oil make the paint inside break down?
