Honorable mention to Randy Emberlin whose inks I believe improved upon both Larsen and Bagley.
I dig your list. I also like a lot of the early Spider-Man artists such as Romita, Kane, Ditko, Andru, and Frenz. I agree that Bagley’s art on Ultimate Spider-Man is pure gold.

Todd father is number 1. No one draws spider-man as dynamic as he does. Bagley is great too.
You explained JRJR better than anyone else has every done. Great layouts, lazy pencils.
Ditko Spidey came out of the early monster title tradition, one of which was Amazing Fantasy. If you read the earlier issues of Amazing Fantasy , they are monster books. That’s why Spidey is more creepy early on.
That's pretty much my exact same top 5, maybe replace McFarlane with either Ramos or Camuncoli. I love the work of Ross Andru and Gil Kane too, but Romita is taking that era's spot.

Mike Zeck great artist anything with his name on it was instant buy for me
Steve Ditko for me, there is something about his style that attracted us to Spiderman ! Back in the day I remember the two books from DC I thought were their best, Green Lantern and Atom By Gil Kane. I thought to myself that something about Kanes style reminded me of Ditko and wondered what his Siderman would be like.

Personally, I really like the era of Erik Larsen, it's a mixture of classic Didko comics with a combination of McFarlane style, which is a huge plus for me, it's strange that he didn't get into your TOP

Todd McFarlane is my #1 Spider-Man artist! Bar none. I didn't care for comics until I saw his art in Spawn when I was a teenager.
I also love Eric Larsen, Mark Bagley, Humberto Ramos and Joe Madureira's work on the character.

Great list, really enjoyed this! Expand to top ten and maybe get Ross Andru and Gil Kane get in there. As a lad, Conway and Andru's Spidey was my favorite.
Steve Scroce is criminally underrated but I get why. He wasn’t on the book long and DeFalco’s writing wasn’t stellar. But Scroce was unreal! 90s kids love Bagley but I’m all about the Ross Andru!
