Very nice! But why are the cruise missiles all impacting at nearly the same point? I also tried something like this some time ago and DCS seemed to ignore the set radius. Hence all missiles basically impacted at the very same spot. I tried to improve the statistics by increasing the number of missiles but to no avail unfortunately.
As a work around where I want three missiles to impact different areas....I use advanced waypoint action for the first missile and push task for missiles 2 and 3 (with slightly differing impact points in the same target area. I also launch them a few seconds apart. Doing it this way ensures the 3 missiles don't impact the same point every time.
cruise missiles are GPS guided weapons. They are flying to a set of GPS coordinates. The ships will ignore the set radius and fly to the exact point marked by the "fire at point" triangle.
I tried to do this for the longest time but on a moving group of vehicles. The Artillery never started shooting. Do you know if it is possible to make the Artillery shoot at a Convoy entering their Area or a Triggerzone in their Firing range and fire as long as necessary until Convoy destroyed? And do the Targets have to be spotted to make it work etc. The Fire on point is not that satisfying for some uses. Even tho it might be realistig them shooting at coordinates but in a mission i cant update the coordinates of a convoy dynamically can i?
As artillery is an area attack weapon in the field specific unit targeting is not possible....nor should it be to be fair. It is however possible to change the Arty units attack area by using zones and multiple fire at point commands using the AI TASK PUSH options.
So I've looked through your videos on the mission editor trying to find an answer to a problem I've been having and can't seem to solve. I don't see any videos from you on this so I'll ask if it is possible for you to explore and make a video on how to get the AI bomber aircraft to drop all their bombs on a specific point on the map. No matter what I do, I can't get it to work. I set up way-points for myself and AI wing-men and in advanced way-point options set up target points but my AI wing-men never seem to drop their bombs at all. Any suggestions? If you can help, great. If not, no worries.
If you are flying with a AI wing man you will need to instruct him/her via the radio menu to attack a target. In most cases he/she will have spotted the target and start calling out it's location. At that point access your radio menu and tell the flight to engage the target type/types they have called out. They will then engage the units. Hope this helps. Cheers.
@@suntsagancientgamer8241 Yep, I have done that. In the past I've always set up target waypoints in the advanced waypoint section of the editor. That way when I and my AI flight are enroute to the IP I usually cut them loose and tell them to go route which I then expect them to follow route to target waypoint and then execute the advanced waypoint options. They don't. They hit the waypoint and then go to the next without bombing target with advanced waypoint. It might be how I"m setting up target waypoints. So many more options there then used to be that I may be doing it wrong.
whoaaaaa nellie! WHAT is firing at those armored vehicles?? CIWS?? lol ----- CIWS only engages INCOMING objects with a VERY close CPA (closest point of approach)... basically something coming RIGHT AT the ship (( thus, "self defense" )) spru-cans and aegis cruisers (same hull btw) would engage with the 2x 5-in mounts - cruisers would engage with SMs from longer range (maybe) but this is what you call NGFS --- naval gunfire support and that is done with mounts 51 and 52 (( 5-in guns - fore and aft ))
Most helpful. Thanks.
Those custom sound effects are really cool! I was wondering how you came across them, or better yet how I could find some myself.

Thank you Sir!
the only condition option I have is "Stop condition" ....
