Thank you so much for remembering Jon Holmes. Jon was a personal friend who introduced me to Trail Magic. I began volunteering at his Bemus Road Trail Magic last year. He was so excited about this experience and it was contagious. For our group it is a labor of love. We will all miss Jon. I hope that we can carry on I his honor.
Thank you so much, Hollywood, my brother Jon talked about you often, so I feel as if I know you! He LOVED being a trail angel!! we'll miss him dearly!!
One of the most wonderful men I have ever met. It was an honor and a pleasure knowing you John. May you rest in peace with your wonderful loving wife ❤
I live in Jon's town, Dixfield- I knew Jon, but not well-knew he did a lot of nice things for folks- but it wasn't really 'advertised"- he apparently flew under the radar. This labor of love of Jon's was something I didn't know....but- it's really not surprising. Jon (as well as his wife Sue)- really earned their wings!
Hey just saw vid. I knew of john. I am a TA in Maine usually first help out in Rangeley to the end for some. Im sure you know of several ive helped. Hawk, Stella, Skittles, Kristian, ...... and Tara this year on her FKT attempt. I cannot hike but love helping. Kristian's mother gave me my trail name "No Miles"
Got a bunch of smaller ones (week longs). Tahoe rim trail, a few in the sierras, and mayyyybe the JMT! But unfortunately not doing a multi month one this year :-(
One of the best parts of any trail! Let’s hear it for the Trail Angels!
