I love when Jon Taffer is in his vehicle and he starts to get upset... and he decides he's gotta go in there... and he rocks back and forth in the seat a couple of time to build some momentum... and then he HEAVES himself out of the car. It's kind of how I imagine the druids moved stone henge into position
Chelsea's explanation of why shows like Bar Rescue are so good to watch when you're stressed is BANG ON. I also went through a long Bar Rescue hyperfixation. There's just something so nice about sitting down and knowing you're gonna see the same beats time and again (Jon getting out of the car, yelling at people, everyone else being dumb, etc) that sets my mind at ease. Maybe also it's reassuring that, no matter how badly I mess up, it's very unlikely I'll mess up THAT BADLY 😂 And the discussion of guy-shaped-guys reminds me of how they designed Kingpin in Into the Spiderverse. Big square, little tiny head. A good shape!
I have seen endless episodes of bar Rescue in my time. Their impression of Jon Taffer had me rolling, as it was less "angry business man", and more "The Joker thinks you should stop pouring so much alcohol"
My favourite episode of bar rescue is the one where the owners have lost all control of their bar to a biker gang. You get people just walking into the back kitchen and just cooking their own food at one point John sends his guy in to see if he can walk all the way in to the back, make a pizza and leave with out paying and he does. So shocking but at the same time so funny to see people just being like I’m hungry so time to make a burger in this places kitchen.
God I had a phase in middle school being obsessed with Bar Rescue. Jon Taffer will forever be a comedy legend. He turns into like evil Tom Hanks the more he yells
I forget if it was Darkness Falls or Hellraiser Hellworld, but I remember Chelsea saying how the podcast listeners are all weirdos who like listening to them review shitty 00s movies, and that's just so accurate lol.
That horse scene from Bar Rescue is actually very sad and terrifying! The way the horse slipped could have broken its leg, and that’s a fatal injury. Hate to be “that” person, but come on!
Also, to be clear, this is not me being mad at James and Chelsea for laughing! I’m upset the rider even thought it was a good idea to bring the horse into a bar.
I’m so glad someone else was just as upset about that part. I remember watching that episode and being so sad for that exact reason about the horse slipping in the bar and breaking its leg. I didn’t know that was a fatal injury for horses though until reading your comment. I wish people would start treating animals the way they deserve and not do stupid shit like that for entertainment for themselves.
Love the vibes of an episode where Chelsea gets to just nerd out and have fun with loosely horror related topics, this kinda stuff really rounds out the vibe of this channel being a “horror safe haven”
Chelsea, if you enjoy John Taffer-shaped men, may I recommend The Great British Pottery Throwdown? The main judge, Keith Brymer Jones, is a Shrek of a man with a very interesting hairstyle, and he will literally cry over anything. I saw him cry over a pretty toast rack with chickens on it. It's such a wholesome show.
Thank you so much for mentioning this! I swear I've done a dozen different variations of the search "wholesome tv shows" and I didn't see this one once. One clip of the show in and im in love, im such a sucker for heartwarming reality tv.
I think they've mentioned Great Pottery Throwdown in an episode, actually! I _cannot_ remember the context but they've definitely watched it and Chelsea has definitely mentioned loving Keith
I love the deep dive episodes as much as the next fan, but this episode is really proof that both of you (and Gressel) are still fun to watch even when you're not talking about a movie or playing a game. 😊
I know they said they would try and release a kill count every week this year but given everything they are doing in October I hope they will get some rest afterwards because they are doing a lot.
You guys joke around but I bartended for 15 years and that TGIF bar competition is a huge deal in the bar world. It used to take place in Vegas with hundreds if not thousands of contestants.
Every week it just makes me really happy to see the new episode of the podcast, I could listen to yall talk about whatever for hours, it just brings me joy 😊
That mystery shopper Jordan is on GMM! I recognized him without all the cotton candy. I wonder if his wife left him at that bar for a Transformer . . .
now as a Chelsea fan i may be biased but i do enjoy the “chelsea does whatever the fuck she wants” episodes and think we need as many as she would like to make
I’ve been to Spirits! Specifically, the story is that the ghost (Edward) haunting the bar ran his barbershop out of the building and was also a huge partier and player who died in some drunken way I can’t remember. The bar has a barber chair set up in the middle where they spin you around and take a shot. I remember seeing the episode on it and wondering if the lore was real or if someone on the team wrote a mini ghost story just for the bar (which would still be pretty impressive tbh). Glad to hear it was partially true! Place was great too, def recommend if you’re ever in New Orleans 👍
You guys should do a podcast on Crimson Peak since you decided it was a horror movie during the is it horror podcast. If not you should try your hand at The Last House on the Left but I understand if not. James should also do a kiII count on the Fright Night movies. I’ll also send an email cause I know that’s what we are supposed to do.
Guess the Kill is my favorite Podcast game, both because of the standard "James losing his mind" aspect and because I weirdly enjoy the atmosphere of hearing context-free soundbites from movie death scenes.
I’ve heard that paranormal investigators write down words that they hear on their spirit box, but I don’t think they tell random people they meet what was said in that amount of detail. It might be a case of her bringing it up because she mistook your guy’s channel for a paranormal investigation type channel and then continued because she didn’t realize her mistake. Chelsea egging her on probably didn’t help either.
I haven't been on youtube in months and in the last week I've been churning through old episodes of the podcast. This one made me so happy. they all do, but it was fun to be here for the new episode.
The 2 bars from Bar Rescue i thought were pretty cool were "Spirits on Bourbon"(New Orleans haunted gimmick) & i forget the name but it had a Zombie apocalypse theme.
I was having a shitty day but I am SO happy you did this! Bar Rescue was my go to binge show for a couple years during the pandemic and I was so excited when you guys said you were gonna do this. I love your impressions of Jon and James killed me with the Master Shake comparison 😂 This is honestly one of my favorite episodes (which is hard to say because I love every episode). Thank you Chelsea for this idea, and hope you both have a great time on your trip!!
absolutely begging for an out of context part 2! while listening I've said many times "this would be good one" and always love a game where chelsea can play along too
Just chiming in that while Jon Taffer was suggesting those out of work should be starved like dogs, he took $61,000 in PPP loans during that same time and it looks like a large chuck (if not all) was forgiven. Trashy.
I need a Dead Meat take on the same awful Paranormal Home Inspectors show that Jenny Nicholson reviewed that one time. I need to see James be broken by Nicole the psychic. I need to see Chelsea fall in love with Brian the home inspector
Loved listening to this! I'd love to see a sequel to Who Am I? from a few years back. Perfect party game for October and James, Chelsea, and Graessle could all play!
There was another haunted one in Humble Texas, and he saved it. I went there, nothing happened, but had good food n drink after he saved it. Sadly, the pandemic had em closed
“More Chelsea does whatever the fuck she wants episodes please!” We all say in unison. “Thank you for these episodes where Chelsea gets to do whatever the fuck she wants” we say in unison once more.
I'll never forget clocking into my first shift at my first job. All excited to work at a restaurant and then boom. I look in the fridge and there's a dead crow, even worse I later found out it'd been in there for years cause they kept it as a sort of pet. Thank God that bar/restaurant is closed now
i just want to say i love chelsea and i love this podcast and i always always look forward to these episodes, theyre just a nice way to chill out and laugh
Personally I vote for more “Chelsea does whatever the fuck she wants” episodes, this was so fun to listen to!
True, always the best episodes!!
yessss please do 🙏🏻
REAL REAL REAL She's actually so fucking funny and insightful
100%! I've never seen the bar show and it didn't even matter, they are entertaining enough to just chill and listen to lol
I hate that she thinks we don’t care to watch this when this is one of the best podcasts in recent memory
Me whenever Chelsea says: I’m just gonna do whatever I want.”
👏🥳😁📣🥇
Also "Molly's openly licking her asshole and for this episode that's fine"
I Love "let Chelsea do whatever the fuck she wants" episodes. We need more of these.
I second this
They make for some of the most fun ones lmao
I love how pissed James is still about the horse riding thing. All of the pain in his voice, "I just wanted to ride a horse....."
It makes me want to see a video of James riding a horse. Or James having to listen to a load of BS from a medium.
For some stupid reason, I assumed they were going to roleplay a 'Bar Rescue' episode, just like they do with Survivor hahaha
New idea for a very niche tabletop RPG lol
@@ZeAndy2806Taffer vs Ramsey, hell yeah
There is a kitchen nightmares rpg!

For the week of the 20th anniversary of the release of Saw, maybe a horror bracket for Best Saw Cop since that franchise really loves its cop plots
Good idea, another one would be trap designs
One thing is clear out the gate. Hoffman is definitely winning against Schenk
Strahm would have won in a landslide if he hadn't fallen for the glass box trap.
i’m obsessed w this idea
Slow A$s Motherfcuking Jeff, what's he going to win? 🤠
Understand now why james loves the film Nope, so much. he just wants to ride them horses
OJ didn't have no lady reading him random words from her phone

“Can you name a single thing in your family that goes back 11 generations”
“Catholic guilt” too real 😂
chelsea deserves a hyperfixation episode every other month pls🙏
Enrichment!
I can’t believe Doug Dimmadome taught Chelsea how to play blackjack
I randomly binged both Bar Rescue and The Dead Meat Podcast during the pandemic. My mind is blowing right now.
I knew I recognized Jordan in that first clip you showed! He works at Mythical with Rhett and Link.
My favourite episode of bar rescue is the one where the owners have lost all control of their bar to a biker gang. That's also got to be my fave episode because I think it's the same one where someone threw a bunch of fucking lit firecrackers into the bar
@@PhoebeRetriever yes it is that’s when John runs in to save his wife as she was doing the recon 😂
God I had a phase in middle school being obsessed with Bar Rescue. Jon Taffer will forever be a comedy legend. He turns into like evil Tom Hanks the more he yells
chelsea doing whatever she wants leads to the best episodes of the podcast. i believe this in my heart and soul
"tell Ericka we're staying out past 9" 😂 how far they've grown since Drunk Disney
I think that the people that listen to this podcast are completely onboard with whatever you guys want to do a podcast on . We just like listening .

Dying at the thought of a little Dutch boy who was forced to distill vodka saying “I wanted to be a dancer 😞”
more episodes where chelsea talks about whatever the fuck she wants please i think this is my new favorite episode

POCKET TAFFER might be my new favorite thing to shriek
A podcast every week in october. Hell yeah. Would love a live podcast episode in london about an american werewolf in london for us, uk folks.
Another Guess The Kill would he awesome but I'd love to have another episode of Christian Movie Reviews!!
Love when Chelsea takes over Dead Meat. Her anime game kill count was so much fun and very interesting
Love the vibes of an episode where Chelsea gets to just nerd out and have fun with loosely horror related topics, this kinda stuff really rounds out the vibe of this channel being a “horror safe haven”
Mythical Jordan jumpscare!

Thanks Chelsea for doing this episode.
Hearing how much these James hates paranormal testing makes me really want them to cover Grave Encounters on the podcast
Lmao a Bar Rescue Dead Meat podcast? Please take the next hour of my life😂

I hope Chelsea knows about Taper's other show, "Marriage Rescue," and I hope when she finds it she decides it's a good Valentine's Day special
