Lion King made a ton of mistakes, but I honestly can't bring myself to hate a carbon copy of a great movie. Inside Out 2 was definitely better, though.
Lion King made so much money because at that time we didn't know Disney live actions = garbage cash grabs with no soul. Now we know they are not worth anyone's time and money.

I went yesterday, when I usually avoid Fridays, put my weekend is full and thus film was a priority. It earned it. Such a good year, might be competing with 2022, but more experimental storytelling and eerie versus "horror". Longlegs, Cuckoo and Strange Darling just this summer and I Saw the TV Glow more in spring. Longlegs is the most conventional says a TON.
