I have a little bit to add to her story if you don't mind.
You said you thought of her as an aquatic person/alien,but the background looks like stars. She could be from the planet Neptune in our solar system,which is made almost completely out of ice/water.
Again,this is just my opinion.

Maybe she was a bridesmaid on a cruise ship and the ship sank and she got stung by so many jellyfish that instead of dying she sort of "mutated" into what she is now and she will forever be roaming the sea looking for the people she once partied with. I dunno just randomly thought of this.

I actually quite like how the dress is solid compared to the rest of the picture. :) The one part of the dress i don't quite like is the white part, but I still really love the picture as a whole. it's one of your more involved pieces c:

The background to me, looks like she's in a glass dome where the party is taking place, and she's in a sorta spaceship thing in...well space. Its so beautiful! You've really improved in the past few artworks. I love it!!!!!! You are so amazing!
she's a similar iridescence as a merman character of mine. he's turquoise to dark blue, and maybe a little greenish. but he does have scales lol. i actually was SUPER pleased to see this video, because that sort of iridescence isn't a common skintone, so this helped me to figure out a way to color him to help get that across in my drawings.
also, if you couldn't tell, the word you were looking for was iridescent lol XD

Baylee Jae lol no problem! i only remember due to me using it a bajillion times in all of my notes. at one point a year or so ago i couldn't remember and looked it up, and since then i try to write it down when describing him so that i don't forget again!

Yay you used your masking fluid. I don't have one in a pen form, I use a color shaped brush with a plastic tip so it doesn't get ruined by the fluid. It works really well for me, and they come in all different sizes. I've used masking fluid in some of my videos. I usually use it just to block out areas I don't want to get marker on when I color larger areas, but it's not a perfect solution you're right. Let me know how you like using it, definitely try it with a color shaping brush, I think you'll like it!
For anyone who draws... Is it hard for you to draw the hands?
totally, but it seems to be easier if you practice more and more until you've finally got the hang of drawing it without even trying too hard: )

QUESTIONNNNN: Can you make a tutorial on how to draw like lips and hands or something? I'm alright with the body but hands and faces are my WEAKNESS! Along with proportions so I mean XD I absolutely adore your art and you have inspired me to continue with drawing and you've taught me how to shade and properly color and I may be getting copic markers for Christmas, along with other art tools because for two years I've been working with cheap pencils and crayola markers and colored pencils... IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE I SWEAR ;-;

yes, Baylee you are supposed to shake masking fluid, also if you don't use it very often, it would help to store it at an angle so it doesn't dry in the cap.
Your art skills are fantastic! I love this drawing! One thing that I would have changed is the color of the dress. I would have done a color that contrasts with her skin tone. That is just my option! Again I love your work soo much! Can't wait for more uploads with the masking fluid!

I love water colour too and Baylee did a great job with this piece (as she does with every piece) also I would recommend you check out marydoodles here on UA-cam if you haven't already, she uses lots of water colour in her work! This is not a paid advertisement or anything, just thought I'd recommend her to you as it sounds like you would enjoy her work!
