Golden State 2 years before and with KD were all coming into their prime and stayed up until about 2019. But my real issue with their argument is that Bron had to become LeGM because his GMs weren’t making it happen. It wasn’t until the Lakers that they brought someone in to help him. The Cavs drafted Kyrie and Bron chose to go back. Miami recruited him to go there but everyone will continue saying Bron orchestrated it meaning he had to do it himself and then the Lakers were the same. They brought AD there for him. Anybody who watches basketball and isn’t a Warriors bandwagon will tell you that KD is and has been consistently the second best player behind LeBron. I’d say easily that he’s the second best scorer of this generation (behind LeBron because LeBron is literally going to have the most points ever). Steph’s a great 3 point shooter, but he’s not one of the best players. And that’s what makes him such a role model in my mind. If we as a community elevate Steph to levels that he simply doesn’t meet, then the “unathletic, short, skinny guard” role model is gone. I think Steph is one of the most influential players ever, and a lot of people have looked to him on how to play the game against people who are way bigger, stronger, or faster than them. Putting him in a comparison with LeBron or KD is just ridiculous to me because he will always lose, and it’s not close. For me, its Lebron. Lebron has been the face of the league since he came into the league, he was universally the best player in the league for 18 straight years, he's still to this day the leading media topic in the nba, even with the lakers being bad and me personally when I think of the NBA I still think of Lebron as the first name that pops up. Steph definitely changed the game with his shooting and inspired kids all over the world that you don't have to be big and strong to be great but I don't think lebron gets credit in the department for changing the game too. The way lebron changed the game in my opinion is that he's showing athletes and kids all over the world who want to be great players someday that there is no limit to how long of a great player you can be, if you take care of your body and continue to work hard, you can still be a great player even in year 20
