Finally a South Africa series. I think you have short change South Africa, may not as remote as Namibia and Bots, but SA deserves a full 15-20 part series. We have done most of the same roads in this series and we plan to do 6 months of SA before we leave SA for good. Thanks.

I am a proud South African, having to live abroad, but I do miss my homeland... "It's a funny feeling that I'm not coming back, I might come back to visit, but not coming back to live... This is one of the places I will miss the most". Hit's hard, but the truth...Thanks for the memories!

Andrew, I’m always amazed by your ability to pull your views into your videos. At times it feels like I’m part of the journey of the video. I love the balance of content of your videos between Mother Nature, history of the are, about vehicle dependent travel and about keeping your head on straight. South Africa is very beautiful, and has amazing post card scenery. Thank you, Andrew for sharing more of your amazing adventures with your viewers and followers!! 🍻

Cool pic of the Renault 5 in the background of your carpet shot on the Rangie. It was at about that time that Car magazine took a R5 from Bloemfontein to KZN through Lesotho down the Sani pass. They apparently got the car at Oranje Toyota totally stock on 145/13 tyres et al. 😁

Really enjoying this, brought back many good memories. Took a flip off Stanley Island in a powered glider, great fun. I agree that wild camping in SA is tantamount to lunacy...got a beach concession to drive up from Cape Vidal in 2003 in my P38 RR great fun, fly fishing off the coast and a leopard in the dunes spying me. Kosi Bay, best pizza in SA...Do you really miss SA? I don't, free and easy in Scotland now. Crazy Christo Roos in Bokpoort Game Ranch, Clarens, Golden Gate I miss his hospitality, second to none on earth.

With any other 4x4 you go on a trip and you have more or less an uneventful journey, with a Landy or Rangie the trip IS the adventure.
Want to show it to my brother so he can get his a into g to finish up his Rangie classic.
After the madness we can then go do a Botswana trip from SA.

Her name is Noraly, she’s from The Netherlands.
Some years ago she bought a Royal Enfield in India, drove it all the way back to Holland visiting the -stan countries as well.
Then she shipped the motorcycle to Argentina with the attempt to drive to Alaska. In Peru the pandemic hit. She left/stored the bike and flew home to NL.
When NL she drove to Denmark, took boat to a Iceland for some days, back to Denmark, up through Sweden, down to NL through Norway.
Then she flew to South Africa for 3 month’s. At this moment she’s driving west Africa north.
