    Love coconut cake or toto I would use coconut milk instead of water

    For those asking about the flour. Add no less than 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder to each cup of regular/NON self rising flour.

    Can I use regular unbleached flour? I find that self-rising flour has a lot of sodium

    It’s in the oven! But guess what I did? I wasn’t paying attention and set the over to 200 instead of 400 Fahrenheit!!! Hadnt realized it until an hr later when I went to check...lol. Hope it turns out ok😂

      The coconut has oil so u don't need butter. You can add some butter thou but a small amount, at least that's how my mom taught me

    It would be really helpful if when writing the measurements, that its also done in Grams/Ounces/Milliletres etc. Cups is very confusing

    I made this with the recipe you gave and it was to watery. I added more flour and baking powder and the cake did not taste good at all.

      I think you baked it at 200 FAHRENHEIT but the recipe said 200 C. 200 C is 392 F. 😑That is probably why your cake was still watery. When the cake is baked at the right temperature for 1 hour, the water will evaporate and the cake will be moist. Your other mistake was adding more flour and baking powder. Too much baking powder makes foods taste bitter.
