Thank GOD! Finally a well created video on how to assemble and set up a curved monitor. This is by far the best vid in my opinion I’ve viewed for setting up a curved monitor so thank you SO MUCH. I wanted to watch this vid 1st before purchasing tomorrow. I’m on my 2nd monitor in about a week that I’ll be returning to Amazon. I’ll be heading to Costco to purchase this beauty tomorrow and pray it works out. I need a bigger monitor for WFH and for my aging eyesight. This was incredibly refreshing to watch given what I’ve been through with purchasing and returning 2 other 32”’monitors that didn’t work out initially taking the cheap route. Spend the extra money purchasing a quality monitor - it’s so worth it! My 24’ LG I cracked was amazing. I hope this Samsung picture quality is better or just as compatible to what I had with my prior LG monitor. Wish me Luck!
Thanks for taking the time to comment! I am pleased with this monitor over the years and I saw Costco is listing it at its lowest price ever! This monitor is a VA monitor, whereas if you're more into reading on screens, IPS monitors tend to be a little better on the eyes since the blacks are darker. But that's me nitpicking. I've enjoyed it incredibly, and it's a HUGE upgrade to the 25'' HP monitor I show in this video as well. The size alone just makes everything so much easier. Just be sure to adjust the setting to 1080p so everything is not tiny
Agreed Robert! For this price point, you can't ask for more. And I'm getting to like this lighter silver finish more than the other black version I've seen. I ran both HDMI & USB C and they looked the same to me, but I ended up doing USB-C so that I could use the HDMI Cable to connect to my HP laptop. How are you liking that beast Mac you got?
@@emmanuelmorin3806 not exactly. 4K 4096x2160 is a 17:9 aspect ratio for cinemas whereas 4K UHD 3840x2160 is a 16:9 aspect ratio. You will rarely find any 'real' 4K TV's, Monitors etc. All TV's, Monitor, UA-cam Videos are 4K UHD = 3840x2160. You even have the same sharpness and same resolution with both so what the fk are you even talking about?
Exact setup I wanted to see!! Thank you!! Just got the new Mac Mini M1 for Christmas and ordered the Samsung 32” 4K from Costco…so I think it’s the same monitor..? Anyway, what’s the story with scaling to 1080p for a more natural look as you say in the video? Are you not running the resolution at 4K? I’m confused, can you explain?
I'm getting occasional screen flickers especially when I use the new Monterrey dynamic screensaver but it looks good 99% of the time. I saw in the Costco reviews a software developer guy recommended using a Displayport to USB C cable; my flicker isn't as bad or often, so I think it might be that the new Monterrey screensaver is running too slow or quick and the monitor is either over refreshing or can't keep up. There's also a chance that my monitor might be defective (ex: could have been mishandled during shipment) so the panel is damaged perhaps. I'm going to buy the same 4k monitor soon and try that out with both the HDMI cable and the displayport to see if my first monitor was just damaged. I'll upload a UA-cam shorts video showing the flickering tomorrow probably so you can see what I mean
@@damon323 Yeah it's 90 days so I'll get the other one since it's on sale right now for $329 also. The flicker isn't as bad with the Displayport to type c, I only see it slightly when I have my screensaver. The HDMI was way more frequent
@@Striker50_ Ok good, glad you can return it then! Even if it's slightly with the type c, that's still too much. Shouldn't ever do it. You said "you'll go get the other one for $329".....Is this one in the video a different model from the one that's $329 right now?
I believe it's 28" deep so it's working very well It has a feature called eye saver mode which I found after like 1 month. Huge help since I use my monitor to read a lot. Then, when I edit videos I turn the eye saver off so I could see the colors better
@@Striker50_ I didn't realize I received a reply; thank you and sorry for the delayed response. Eye saver mode also helps me a lot, as well as the Flux app that you can dl onto the computer. Saves my eyes!

Just bough this monitor. I have the latest Macbook Air but it seems like the resolution and refresh rate changes. I can't seem to change my refresh rate from 30K to 60K. Are you have the same issue? and if so, did you find a way to fix it?
Interesting. I'm running the mini so it gives me a dedicated option for display settings that I can scale I'm not sure how it would work on a MacBook since my laptop is Windows. I do notice that when I plug in my laptop, it tends to want to autoscale, but again I have no experience with MacBooks and the monitor option
Just purchased the Apple studio but short of funds to buy the Apple studio display at 1899. I saw the UR59C for 319 at Costco. Will this monitor display true 4K from the studio
Congratulations, that's the real deal 👍 And $2,000 for a monitor after taxes is a sheer scam I haven't run any tests to see the actual fps, nits, etc. of this Samsung, but it's occasionally flickered on me when I have certain windows opened a certain way. The flicker usually goes away when I readjust one of the windows or something. I made a short video on the flicker on my channel so you can have a better idea of it Overall, for the price, I don't see anything coming close to this monitor for the value All of the 4k content looks great and sometimes I watch 4k in 1.75X. Also, remember you have 90 days to return to Costco no questions asked if you don't like it Lmk what you end up deciding and how it goes
What cable do i use for the display port. Is it display port to USB C from Mac studio pro. Link for the right cable on amazon. I paid 315 and returned a printer so i pay 140
I'm running DisplayPort to Type-C. I also tried doing HDMI to HDMI. Both still give me an occasional flicker (see my YT short video that shows that). Make sure its rated for 4k 60FPS. As for your Studio Pro, I can't attest to the accuracy or issue of the flicker that I experience
Hope you're liking it thus far! The default Samsung Mount is not height adjustable, only angle tilt. I just measured desk to bottom of monitor and it is about 3.8 inches. For me it works well enough. You CAN mount it differently if you desire. I saw a video that allows you to alter the rear mounting plate so that you can attach it on a VESA mount with a little bit of work. This will allow you to ultimately lower it all the way down to the desk if you so desired. Hope that was helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions!
@@cloudtech273 I'm here for y'all 🙏 Yeah not ideal, but it is possible nonetheless! I'd say that's about a $45-$65 mod if you wanted to get the vesa bracket and an adjustable arm, not terrible when you think about it
I wouldn't call it a fair comparison This is curved, larger, using a TA panel, and probably has less refresh rate. Then again, you can buy like 3 of these for 1 of those
@@Striker50_ I don't game so I'm not worried about refresh rates just the visual quality. But from what I'm seeing, no PC monitor has physical equal visual quality to the iMac or new laptops. They might have the same specs on paper, but with that cheap plastic screen material, the end result is different.
@@brandonnguyen1486 Keep in mind you want to try to compare within price range. There are some fantastic 27" or 32" QHD IPS panels within the $300-$500 range. You could even drop $500-$700 on a monitor and pair it to a MAC Mini. That would be a great set up as you aren't limited by an All-in-one design.
