I was given this monitor as a Christmas gift last week. If your planned use of this monitor is ONLY gaming, give it a go! I would not recommend this monitor for any sort of productivity as I had some significant text scaling issues. Even after optimizing settings and using windows color calibration and clear text optimization, the display still leaves a lot to be desired. However, I played DOOM Eternal for about 3 hours and it was an AWESOME experience. Loved the monitor for it's gaming, but will be using it as a dedicated screen for my PS4 moving forward.
I agree 100 percent I play Mortal Kombat 11 and Call of Duty and it looks great especially for the budget price. Thanks for watching!!!

I don’t know if you did because i don’t see it in the video, but you need to assemble bracket to monitor case with screws, theres two empty screw hole under the samsung logo (where you mount the bracket to monitor).
Screws are inside the bag of installation guide etc. papers

Do you know the screw sizes for the stand screws? I bought one and it didn’t come with the screws so curious if I can find the sizes at home depot or Lowe’s...
Thank you for the info. The box is missing crucial details. This is a 1080p, not 1440p. It has free sync but is NOT HDR. Which makes a big difference in gaming.

CR502 Samsung curved LCD 32 inch monitor review - can you reccomend this for graphic design? are rectangles and lines distorted at curved ends? Thank you
I would personally use a flat screen for graphic design applications. Curved screens can distort images even slightly which can alter your graphics design image and that's not good. Samsung and Acer make great flat screen monitors.

So I know this is probably a very stupid question, but here goes. What speakers should I lean twords grabbing for this monitor? Just wondering if there's a best option I should be comparing others too
That is not a "standard display port" or "monitor port". That is a "VGA D-sub" connector.
Not picking on wording, but it is a big difference and someone unfamiliar with ports might think, that this should connect to a "display port"
And that "wall mount" could be a "VESA mount" .... but I just assume that it is a standard VESA mount... spacing looks like it is.
Guy doesn't even know what a Vga port is.

at the 8 second mark, the text on the bottom right corner of the monitor is really blurry and not clear, maybe 1080p is too low a resolution for a 32"

Yes its mountable.
Assembling the stand/bracket was not as smooth as you shown. Took some effort to screw in the bracket successfully and snapping in the bracket to the monitor. Then had difficulty aligning the 2 small screws to hold in the bracket. Otherwise, monitor is great.
It took me 2 tries to kind of figure out the snapping in of the Brackett but I have assembled dozens of monitors so im kind of use to it. Sorry I didn't show the screwing of the 2 screws to monitor. I've had no issues with fonts not looking crisp or clear. Best advice is set it up and see for yourself. You can always take it back.
So… I found one of these on the streets. I’ve checked it and it works fine, it’s just that the screen is completely cracked, it doesn’t display any images, but there are no punctures into the main modules. So all it needs is a new screen to be working as before. Although, I’m not sure how to open it up to take the screen out, and if anyone knows where to be replacement screens for a fair price please let me know.
(Edit): Never mind, it was pretty simple to take apart, but it would help if anyone could tell me were to get spare parts from the screen for cheap
hey i tried plugging in my earphones into the back of the monitor headphone jack but no sound came out. I bought one refurbished off ebay. Is this supposed to defective then? Although when i plug into the back of my PC or front of my PC headphone jacks it seems to work

There are no speakers on this monitor. You can watch TV and play PS5 on it just use headphones or external speakers.

I just got one and brand new it won't turn on. It should still come on with nothing hooked to it except power cord shouldnt it?
I would think so. Does the power light come on at the bottom right? I would connect a pc or PS4 or xbox to test it.
Does it have light bleed around all the corners or a border glow and does it have noticeable light bleed in dark?
I do not notice any light bleed.

@@UltimateTechHub Thanks , yeh strain on the eyes is biggest point, I spent like 10+ hrs on the computer. I sure you can turn night settings on early on to ease the eyes a bit.

@@fikk493 I would go with the 1660 over the 1050ti. Its a better GPU in just about every aspect. I did a video comparison on the 1050ti vs 1660ti so make sure to watch it. You can see the side by side comparison during game play. This Monitor is very good especially for the low price. It'd not a great Monitor but I find most games look really good.

Nice video review but I just bought this monitor from my local bj's earlier this week just to return it after 3 days of owning it. This monitor is nice but full of problems. The monitor would shut off on it's own after being left on for 10- 15 mins. So annoying! Regardless of what system was plugged into It, it shuts down. The power adapter would get extremely hot as well like to explode. My research on UA-cam for ppl who were owners of this model to troubleshoot my problem with the monitor aren't recent reviews either. So I ended up not fixing the problem. The worst part is on best buy websites, owners of the same exact monitor suggested to stay away from these curved monitors because of screen backlight and power cut off issues. I'm still bias towards towards these monitors but I noticed also, they are really not in high demand anymore either. The price point is a steal but from my experience, pure disappointment. Ps I gave you a like anyway.
Yes I totally understand your issues. Mine doesn't get hot and the screen does not turn off. However I have heard of those issues. And yes curved monitors are definitely going out of style that's why we see the cheap price tag. And that's exactly why I bought it for my 11 year old son. But just a heads up all I use are 4K monitors for my personal use. And no curved screen either. I also never had any luck buying computer stuff at best Buy. I almost always had to return whatever I bought. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Did you check your computer power settings, default power setting is usually set at 15 minutes of inactivity and will shut the monitor down and go into power saving mode.
There are menu options to change the automatic standby mode...
I couldn’t go back to flat screen after going curved. I’d be surprised if the curved ever go away.

Surprisingly good considering iits not a 4k or even 2k monitor. I play fortnite and fallout on it and it plays and looks good.

Hey, if you still have the TV. Apparently it has no speakers, but you can plug an AUX cord into the headphone jack for audio. Taken from these replies:

@@UltimateTechHub I mean displayport, not VGA. It supports higher refresh rate than HDMI. Most monitors and graphics cards now replace VGA with displayport (DP).
@@robbieh.1944 DP vs HDMI won't change a thing for something that's capped at 75FPS. Only matters at much higher refresh rates.

I might catch some bad remarks for this statement but OMG. Some of the questions that newbies ask are completely understandable as they are still learning. Some questions (still from beginners seemingly) are still understandable because not everyone has tried every monitor . But I must admit that this simple task of knowing how to install a monitor, straight, curved, completely surrounding ones that you have to crawl into from underneath, ok that last one is a bit of a joke to lighten my mood. I needed that because this particular thread has truly brought the dumbest questions I've seen in awhile, literally. I'm not say the people are dumb by no stretch. I'm pointing out that apparently this curved monitor gaming gem Samsung has put simply a VGA and an HDMI connector into has brought out some brain fa*t questions from folks that probably would have gotten it if a little more thought had been taken before posting the question. So I guess here's my one and only dumb question. Can I program my Samsung's TV remote to control the monitor? I'm guessing no since it didn't come with one or offer one as optional but I had to ask. I got mine for $115 from my local Walmart a few months back. That's cheap enough for me to overlook a remote control option via traditional remote. I can always use installed software and my keyboard to manipulate the monitor. I love mine. Thanks for the video 🙂 apparently lots of people needed it including myself lol.
No you can't use your Samsung remote. But you can use a keyboard to control it. For the price you paid its easy to over look some of its minor faults. Its a solid monitor for gaming and I use mine all the time so it's durable and works well. Thanks for watching and for commenting.

I bought this monitor and the image is bad nt clearly and out of focus I don't recommend this monitor at all I have 7 years dell monitor non curve and look way better then this monitor
