This has to be the most heart stopping set of top 8 so far, good shit to both players
What how was this heart stopping? These were some of the campiest sets in the whole tournament so far. Quite slow and paced out.
@@ethannnnnnn all of the games were insanely even and 2 of the games were at a very low stock counter, tweek getting the up smash in the last 20 seconds or the end of game four from tea was extremely clutch compared to other sets in top 8
@@ethannnnnnn fun fact: suspense is fleshed out over time. Faster sets can also be heart stopping, but the speed of a match and its intensity are pretty mutually exclusive.

6:23 while nothing comes of it this really shows Tea's mastery of Pac Man. He sees where tweek is launched and knows that it's a common response to go to that platform there. If he had done so, that bell would have caught him, Tea's brain is massive
Omfg, i didn't even notice that when i watched the set for the first time... i (just like most players in general) would've definitely gone to the platform and gotten hit by that. That was an insane play.
This set was both fast and slow paced at the same time, nice variety of sets so far
Watching this set live was the most hype thing to come out of Mainstage, Tea stole everyone’s hearts

Idk Tweek was taking a lot of mental damage. His play in game 5 was breaking down a lot. So many reckless Monkey Flips and getting clobbered by the Bell. He gave his all in game 4 and I think had not much left

I can't explain how impressive it is that Tweek was able to make it such a close set against Diddy Kong's worst matchup by far. Really incredible showing!

I don't think I've ever seen so much passion and emotion from Tweek during a set. I'm not sure if it was because he really wanted to win Mainstage or because the games with Tea were super stressful. He never showed this much emotion during sets with Leo, Samsora, Dabuz, LIght, etc.

Wow this was really fuckin good. The matchup of Diddy and pac man never really crossed my mind much. That hydrant is a serious problem for diddy’s stage control with his banana. They both played so well though 🙌🏼

One thing I'm noticing about Tweek vs Leo and Sparg0 is that he doesn't really empty hop that much in neutral which can be key for forcing reactions from the opponent that can set you up for punishes. I noticed this was at its peak in game 5 and particularly around 28:08 when he just let Pac land for free and didn't attempt to pressure him on the way down at all.
A good point but also I think landing is a very powerful strength for pacman because of the threat of hydrant, plus he was holding a banana. Although I agree he could pressure him more in the air I think Tweek was just respecting hydrant
Huge contrast between Tweek and MKLeo's sets against Tea. Leo's Byleth could just swat away the hydrant with aerials. Diddy lacks such options so Tweek was forced to play the long game.
not just Hydrant, Banana clanking with Pacman's other projectiles as well makes it rough, way less of an effective option , really surprised the Wolf didn't come out but we got a great match out of it
The game is crazy seeing how Pac-Man can look like such a beast against diddy and look stuck on byleth. But only Leo’s byleth can do that lol
