Liked hearing negatives as well as positives. Didn't feel like another commercial.

If you use it for video edit and drawing animation, is it very noisy and warm? I come from mac. Should I get Lenovo legion or Lg Gram?

I bought it 3 days ago I was playing a game and suddenly I couldn't control my keyboard. It just moved on its own.

i spent months researching and almost bought a Gigabyte Aorus 7 RTX 4060 but for 100 more I bought this laptop with the RTX 4070 for £1299 on Amazon Prime days 12 Jul 2023. At that price it’s a great deal when normally it’s £1559.
Versus it’s rivals the display is it’s winning feature at the mid gaming tier compared to some terrible 144hz FHD displays with only 72%sRGB which look flat and lifeless compared to this display. You would need to spend almost double or more for a significantly better display.
I would have preferred more video memory to future proof the laptop but that would have been almost double the cost for a 4080 and I think on a 15.6” display I can live with it for a few years.
Good review especially the display colour measurements. The use of a gaming laptop tray can help a lot with noise levels and temperatures perhaps something to test and show. Would be interesting if the 2nd NVME slot could be used. Maybe a flexible extension could be used to connect another ssd.

A great post, Jimmy. I received the same laptop less than a week ago. You did well for the price. I paid £1.399, which I was happy with. I usually stick to my Xbox Series X for gaming, but I wanted a mid-tier laptop for my older PC games that aren't on console.
I stopped building my own desktop PC's as it consumed all my free time, so this laptop perfectly fills my needs. I have it connected to my 4k HDR monitor, so my older games run at that resolution with high framerates. Like you, I will keep it for two years, then replace it with another mid-tier laptop - hopefully with more video ram.
The only thing I did was clone and then remove the 25 GB recovery partition. I wanted that extra space - it's a lot. I always prefer fresh installs, so I have complete control. It also removes pesky bloatware such as Norton. I will restore the original recovery partition if I ever sell the laptop.

@@legendofficial1820 I am more than happy with it, thank you. Both for my work and gaming, it excels. I can see myself sticking with MSI laptops for some time.

@@Chris-B. I got the same laptop mid September, but RTX 4060 version and my main concern are are CPU and core temperatures. It can spike for a second up to even 100C when it's in Windows, with Chrome and Spotify opened (while I'm not using it) and can have an average of 85C when playing games such as StarCraft 2 or League of Legends on highest settings. Unless I set fan settings to Cooler Boost (ie. most powerful cooling), but then the fans are so loud I literally have to use headphones instead of speakers.
      Have you noticed something similar?

Excellent review. I will most likely buy this laptop. Is fantastic. First I wanted to get the thin gf 63 but I changed my mind.

That was very helpful, I was going over what other pc's I want to buy to replace my currently dying asus gaming laptop. It is quite old, but I am still researching what are best to grab before this one dies off entirely on me. Lots have been happening, and I am concerned how long this one has before I get a replacement. This does help narrow down want I want asides from good specs and equipment the pulse has. But also the durability a laptop has, again very helpful video along with the detailed verdict you have given. I might give an update when I get the chance to buy either one I find most useful and fun. Video is 100/10!
