I’m so glad to be able to see guys who are trying to expand man’s knowledge of these creatures. I have been getting all these disgusting videos of innocent spiders, and centipedes, and scorpions being forced to fight to the death, suggested by You Tube. It’s Animal Cruelty, plain and simple. Anyway, I hope your work will contribute to ending this horrible practice.
Amazing video.... watching these videos can really help us provide better enclosure for our ts at home. I've been looking for similar videos for Acanthoscurria geniculata, GBB etc but no luck so far.. hopefully one day you can make some ☺️
i love the Genus as well. i do have a pair of Sericopelma sp. chica at home. the girl is adult but the male is not ready yet i guess somewhere along summer or autumn he might.
@@birdspiders thank you! 😅 i just started pairing tarantulas and i am still waiting for my N. chromatus girl to lay her eggsack. do you have any special info regarding that? about temp and humidity? i havent found much on the internet so far.
sadly our trip to Panama was prior of filming tarantulas in the wild - check out our latest blogpost on the website where we feature sp. St. Catalina - our favourite!
I go backpacking so I have a lot of opportunity to see wildlife in their natural habitat, and I rescue and rehabilitate wild animals. I live in Ontario Canada, so it's unlikely I'm going to find one of the two tarantulas that are found in our country. It's great that you're showing the tarantulas in their natural habitat so we can achieve better success creating a suitable enclosure. And on an off Note, entirely inappropriate, but you're so beautiful it can be distracting to watch your video, but I'm not complaining
Love watching tarantulas in the wild. I miss watching the Alphonopelma chalcodes in Arizona every fall. But I have a beautiful female I'm going to reproduce captive bred specimens. Keep up the amazing work. Take care. Ibnsarachnids aka rob
@@birdspiders I saw it. S melanotarsum they are named, yes wrong of me! Yes i remember that they males had light tarsus. Mine was a female but i remember a friend had juveniles and slings that had those white feet. I bought mine in 2005 in Hamm and if i remember correctly they was not that uncommon back then? Nowdays i have not seen any in the hobby for a long time. I guess they are not bred anymore?
Quality footage again. Thanks for sharing. I wish I'd seen videos like this 10 years ago, before I encountered a large spider (possibly an arboreal T) in the wild whilst on holiday. Back then the sighting made me uncomfortable so I looked quickly and didn't even think to take a photo. I regret that I didn't take time to appreciate it and I'll never know what it was.
cheers Catherine! You took a photo, therefore put the best effort in appreciate it at that time possible, we all grow with experienced - just keep making them :)
@@birdspiders I wish I had taken a photo - but I did not. I have pictures of other invertebrates from this trip, I spent 20 minutes with a mantis on my hand, but I was prejudiced against spiders :( I have learnt from your channel and now even observe the spiders in my own home.
Beautiful video as always. I would love to go with you guys on a tarantula expedition one day. :D Is there some product one could buy to imitate the ground they are living in that is suitable for enclosures? Or where does one get the appropriate substrate?
Hopefully you and Reto and maybe others can do more expeditions to find tarantulas in the wild, I guess we are just waiting for the COVID thing to end.
Great inspiration for natural looking enclosures, and amazing footage.
cheers Darren! much appreciated (:
