Holy s*** this is an amazing channel!! As a birder, photographer, and recent spider enthusiast, you’ve got me thinking of searching for tarantulas during an upcoming trip to CR and rethinking how I might possibly keep my M. robustum pair in a large vertical enclosure (do they also occur in rock outcrops like these Megaphobema here?). Again, absolutely amazing work!!
I absolutely adore M. mesomelas and your videos of specimen in the wild is going to be a great source for when I get around to upgrade my girls enclosure! Thank you for the information and documentation, it is a joy to watch!
I went to look for more photos of Megaphobema mesomelas after watching your film. So lovely, thanks again for sharing your amazing finds. Congrats on the frog footage too 🏅
Hi! This is Anne of Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho of GMA Network. This week we are currently doing a story about Tarantulas. We would like to ask for your permission if we could borrow this video, it will serve as a support video for our segment. We will assure that the correct courtesy will be given. It will air locally and internationally with one possible replay. It may also be used on all social media platforms. Hope to hear from you soon!
Hi Anne, please send your business inquiry via email (martin@birdspiders.ch) and specify in detail what your story about Tarantulas is about and the given context. Look forward to hear from you!
Yes. Two of my favourite genus. I have a couple of pairs of Sericopelma sp. but I have passed up on Megaphobema a few times though. I don't think I could keep them correctly, so I'll admire from afar. :)
Hi there, which species of spider did you say was sharing the habitat of the Megaphobema? I had trouble understanding what species you said it was. Thank you!

Yes, M. robustum also inhabits slopes like seen in this video - so you certainly can go with that style for your enclosure.
This is probably the best spider channel on UA-cam

true, I do the same with M. mesomelas. But I will get a well controlled space eventually and then I would try and breed this species

Terrible music, I’d expect to hear this on videos of people doing backflips off cliff tops, not on a nature video.
Nicholas Duckney turn off the sound then haha
