    Love having you as a resource. You are smart, straightforward, and respectable. I am 47 and recently started having some hot flushes at night, and some during the day. I have had to change what I wear for pj's now, because of the sudden increase in heat during the night. It is very disruptive to feel like your body is under a heat lamp all of a sudden, and then try to cool down, and fall back asleep. It has taken a couple weeks to figure this out, but it makes a difference. The anxiety just started now too! never had it before, and this has been tough to manage. I feel like someone else, and I feel down much more frequently now too. I am doing deep breathing daily, and I do already follow a very healthy lifestyle. Thank-you for doing these videos, we need you!

    Here at 4:26 AM after waking at 2 (with Friday bedtime of midnight). Two other nights this week up at 4. I only drink two cups of coffee a day. I am an educator on Zoom a lot, and I have a feeling that bright lights and digital everything are not helping matters.

    Please eat 2 kiwis an hour before bed. They are full of serotonin and are actually helping me sleep through the night. I saw this on a documentary. Keep eating every night. God supplies us with all that we need. Blessings.

    Started menopause in 2009 and sleep has gone downhill and gotten worse - not better- over the years- have tried every single natural remedy over the years / have excellent sleep hygiene and still have sleep problems. .once again am up at 4 am ( naturally can’t get back to sleep) and will yell at anyone in my way today - I’ll break things out of frustration and exhaustion as I push myself through another day- I’ll end up feeling tremendous guilt and I’ll cry in the shower. My brilliant dr told me it can’t be hormonal since I’m past menopause and there are no fluctuations now. I wanted to order a saliva test to see what’s going on but I can’t in my state without a drs script. She wants me to use sleeping pills . I’ve said again and again that these cause me to just feel sluggish and depressed. I just joined your FB group and am hoping for some type of guidance .

    I'm perimenopause I went through a period where I couldn't fall asleep, stay asleep. I would end up dreading wanting to go to bed because of the thought of not getting any sleep and I would toss and turn and my anxiety went up and out the roof. Long story short I ended up passing out and cracking my head open because I couldn't remember the last time I'd slept. Know 2 years later im back to being able to sleep but not stay asleep. I'm going to buy some Magnesium like you surgested thank you Dr Garrett

    I'm just turning 58 soon, and am about two years post menopausal, and am just starting to have awful insomnia, getting 2 or 3 hrs sleep, wake up in in the middle of the night, and not being able to fall back asleep. It's affecting me in a very negative way. Would love to hear from youn, as I am afraid of cancer from supplementing with estrogen, thank you in advance~

      Me too. It's like I am on a runaway roller coaster or a runaway train or something that has lost its breaks or can't use its breaks anymore. There are days when I sleep okay and get a full 8 hours or 9 hours of sleep and then there are days when I wake up at 2am or 3am and cannot get back to sleep and it's ridiculous. on the days I can't sleep, and I am up at 2an or 3an, I am having a cup of tea because I can't get back to sleep.( Maybe the tea I am having has some caffeine in in. Not sure. So I want to make a switch to a tea that doesn't have any caffeine) So I am trying to look for calming herbal teas to help induce sleep because I have lost a regular sleep cycle and I want to get back on track with my sleep. I am 47. Hope I can find something.

    I fall into a poor category that is not much understood. I am in my 30s but I have surgical menopause as my ovaries and uterus were removed. Nothing is helping me sleep. I am lucky if I sleep 2hrs before waking up. I was given birthcontrol pills for hormone replacement... things are not well.

    • @adgarrett1
      @adgarrett1 3 роки тому +1

      Hi there! You need bioidentical hormones…not only for sleep but for bone snd heart health. Birth control is synthetic hormones and you don’t get the benefits of bioidenticals. If I were advising you…look into estrogen patch +oral progesterone +/- testosterone.

But the symptoms keep switching on me. I had morning sickness for 6 months and was so sick now the night sweats are back with a VENGENCE. I am 58 and only in menopause 2 years I was a late bloomer. I am so frickin desperate I will give a limb to get rid of this. Peri was suicidal for me and I was scared to death. I am super healthy, don’t drink. I would really appreciate your response. I hope you are doing better and hope your symptoms have improved.

I have found lemon balm plant and make strong tea with leaves. I tried to grow it from seed and had no luck. It definitely helps you sleep if you make it super strong. Safe for the grandkids also. I take a CBD daily called Caliper it’s from CO. Its a powder and the best one I tried for focus and pain. I want to take it twice a day and hoping soon I can afford to.
