- A&Z #780 - Atlas vs Pitt Street Pharmacy's Grilled Cheese Sandwich Record Challenge at Pitt Street Pharmacy in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Back in early October 2019, I flew to Charleston, South Carolina to kick off my "4th Quarter 2019" Food Challenge Tour. For challenge #1, I traveled to Mount Pleasant, SC nearby and took on the Grilled Cheese Sandwich Record Challenge at Pitt Street Pharmacy. They have a soda fountain there that serves delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. Back in 2013, someone at 27 grilled cheese sandwiches in less than hour. I was trying to break that record by eating 28 or more. Each sandwich consisted of 2 slices of white bread, 2 slices of American cheese, some butter on the exterior, and some mayonnaise in the middle. BIG thanks to everyone with Pitt Street Pharmacy for the wonderful food and hospitality while there in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. HUGE thanks also to all the many people who came up to watch and meet me that October evening. We appreciate everyone around South Carolina supporting our efforts!! Pitt Street Pharmacy’s Grilled Cheese Record Challenge ($3.75/Sandwich):
Pitt Street Pharmacy in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina serves delicious grilled cheese sandwiches via their soda fountain, and they host a grilled cheese sandwich record challenge!! If you can beat the current record in less than the 1 hour time limit, you win all your sandwiches free, a sweet t-shirt, and your name will go to the top of their leader-board as the new record holder. As of October 2019, the record to beat is now 29 sandwiches. FYI you must beat the record by one whole sandwich, and not just by half of one.

I saw the workout video, too. He definitely puts in the work. Problem is, you can't out-train a bad diet. And I'm not saying he eats like this all day, every day, but just one of these challenges is so insane, it could set him back weeks of hard work.
Not everyone is cut out for food challenges and while I love Randy's personality, he is not someone I feel who should be eating entries bigger than his shoulders.

I have a really hard time understanding why people take time out of their day to bully someone who is clearly doing what he loves. Picking on anyone is unacceptable. Leave the man alone about pulling his shirt down. I've been a huge fan of Randy for a long time and he doesn't deserve that kind of treatment. He's a nice guy and he was working out hard in the beginning of the video, so clearly he's getting cardio in. If you don't like him then don't watch. It's super simple. The thing I like about your eating challenges is that you eat cleaner than most other youtube eaters, and that you don't go by the chipmunk mouth rule where the challenge is over as soon as the last piece is stuffed your mouth, but rather you grind and swallow it clean. each time i am amazed at the amount of food you eat, its addictive to watch your challenges, you watch one and then you want to watch another one and then its on i can spend hours and hours watching it, keep up the good work and also take care of your health at the same time that is the most important thing.

You can tell by how Randy responds to these comments that its getting to him, but he also doesn't seem to actually care enough to do anything besides post a little intro of him on a bike in the beginning. He's sensitive about his weight, and takes every comment about it negatively even though you're obviously a fan who supports him. Randy, as a dietitian, you know fitness is 90% diet. So go on a diet. At this point your fans, myself included, just feel guilt when we watch you, because we support you, but this is just getting too much.

You need to do the 55 gallon drum maple syrup challenge.
This is definitely one of Randy's tougher challenges (in terms of volume).
Individually, a grilled cheese is a nice snack, but consuming 29 adds up to a large amount of carbohydrates.
