I think the rear looking cameras are a neat idea since visibility in the mirrors of some bikes can be a problem...still, I think we need to give helmets like these a few more years until they work seamlessly
The biggest flaw I see in these new tech helmets is just how physically big and no doubt heavy they are. Helmets that tend to appeal to me are those that provide the same safety standards as full face lids but are lighter and smaller. The less I “feel” a helmet at higher speeds the better in my book. The new AGV K6 is one such helmet I’ve been eyeing as a potential new lid. Those are the sorts of advancements in tech I find more appealing.
Brake free is a prototype still and not in production yet. Wish it was in production already. Its been advertised since 2017. Also 100% noise cancellation is bad. People should ride with ear plugs in to reduce the effects of wind noise and prevent hearing loss
I bought the break free light and it’s legit!!!! Worth the buy. Battery doesn’t hum like the two light mode batteries I have (I still like the light mode tho) and is super bright even for day use.
Bikers who like their hearing use earplugs anyways. It is mainly the wind noise at cruising speed that damages your hearing over time and that can be filtered with NC
It reduces constant noises, like engine noise, road noise, wind etc anything that spikes suddenly (tyre squeal, horns etc) will not be reduced. It's great tech.

HUD in a helmet is very useful, for showing motorcycle info, Google Maps GPS info, answering phone calls etc A universal remote control on the handlebar to control the helmet HUD, GPS and smartphone would be neat!... 👌

There are definitely potential military applications with this helmet. Field soldiers having ear protection, filtration applications, communication and eyes behind your head. You have a case to protect your phone’ cpu. Why wouldn’t you want one for “your” cpu.
Proper motorbike cost 15,000 $, so helmet for 1,000 $ is a good price. Would be strange to spend 50$ on helmet, having bike for 15K. Its like buying New Mercedes, and wear cheappest clothing.
i was always told by my riding instructor " the last thing a rider needs is more junk in his helmet, or in his field of view distracting him. there are enough distractions on the road and distracted drivers on the road . as a rider you yourself do not need to be distracted as well"
Its not problem in moto gear but in moto drivers. When you drive bike in normal speed everybody see you but when you are zooming thru traffic 150 kph you are the main reason for crash.
That one "wipey", seems like the one that made that doesn't ever ride a motorcycle, because just by turning your head to the left and right it'll wipe all the water drops

Now, that you mention it, it would be awesome to have a T-shaped light array that could mount to the back of a jacket. The middle bit could be a big brake light and the upper left and right could be the turn signals.
I am a top ten argon fan and advertiser, part of me doing my part was they offered the system for free, then backed out and denied me the system after I put in the work
Some nice ideas but I would question how robust they are for use in real life, everyday use. All my bike gear gets used year round in hot, cold, rain and snow and ends up getting covered in road dust and debris and the general wear and tear of high mileage. Helmets especially get battered and dirty, you have them hooked over the crook of your elbow with a set of damp gloves chucked inside them when you go shopping or walking around, off the bike....anything fragile within the helmet structure like HUD display wont last 5 minutes.
#1: If your full face helmet is "uncomfortable" or "restricts your field of view" then you're not wearing the right helmet! #2: Some states don't allow ANY protuberances on the helmet so this little number may be illegal. #4: See #2 You spend $400 on a moderately good helmet then $800 for this gizmo? Maybe. #5: Get some Rain-X - IIRC this thing was tested and found lacking.
The last thing a rider needs is anything being projected directly into their field of view.
unless your me and your odometers broken and have to use the helmets HUD to see how fast im going.

3 main things I want for my helmet. 1 - Safety 2- Ventilation and 3 - Weight ...lighter the better. All of these seem heavy with little airflow

My helmet has a flip-down tinted visor so I have built-in sunglasses. That’s as fancy as I need it. And this video has WAY too many friggin’ ads.
