  • For the money I think the HS-519 Cable Tie Gun Tensioning and Cutting Tool is a good buy for a diy person like me and one I will mention in the future as a long term review.

Used the nice Panduit gun at work, but needed a basic & cheap model for home & got this. No directions included. Over thought how to feed the end & wound up here, oh, obviously from the bottom. Thank you. And if you're doing lots of tie wraps regularly (I was averaging a couple hundred per day) you'll want something that's easy on your hands, like the brand I mentioned. For personal use & for the price, this is a keeper

The biggest reason to buy them is so that you Don't leave nice little razor blades behind to slice you open the next time you stick your hands in amongst them. It does get them tight. On a 3/16th it will break them if you're not careful. I've had mine about a year and use it several times a week

Looks good enough to me. I have a 35 year old plastic tensioner that was a salesman give away. Still works fine and it is very small and easy to get into tight places. If I see one of these $14 ones I will be grabbing it. Thank you for the review, Steve

Could be the hardened cutter blade is installed at an angle to give a shear cut, useful with stainless steel bands. Also, there are nitwits, computer aces who don't know a thing about hardware, listing on eBay. More than once I've messaged sellers and found that their 1 is 1 box of 100 or their 3 is 3 packs of 12 pieces.
