- What’s up UA-cam, I’m back with another video. I’m adding another upgrade to the AR. This is the vism handguard for my Smith and Wesson M&P sport 2. This was my first time doing a upgrade like this and it was pretty simple. I watched a couple videos like this one which made it pretty easy. This handguard allowed me to keep my front sight and gun strap. Love the way it looks. Let me know what you think in the comments. I have the same rifle but with the railed gas block instead of the A2 sight. Worked awesome on mine as well for those wondering. No mod needed on cutout for sight. Delta ring is a lot easier to pull down with a delta ring tool. They're about 12 bucks

I found myself wanting a mlok for my Colt, but didn’t want to change out the block. This solved all my problems. It was super easy to install and changed the whole look and feel. I’m also happy I didn’t have to part with the A2 front sight. Thanks for sharing.

I love this rail as it keeps the front post. However if you ever took the front post off would this hand guard still be ok?
I don’t plan on taking off front post, but don’t think it would effect anything if I did.
From what I've seen of other swaps, it would mean you may have to. But I think if you were to get the optics ready version it would still work without having to swap out the gas block and getting the rings removed to do a floating one

I don’t think that the hand guard is universal. But if u click on link under video it will take u to the item and website. They have other options for different firearms.

How's the heat compared to the plastic handguard?

I don’t understand keeping the M16 style sight on this thing because I’m installing an Eotech red dot/magnifier combo and it blocks my way. I’m going to get a Magpul MOE hand guard I think and just drop the $200+

You can still use a red dot on this rifle, all that’s needed is a riser plate and it will co witness perfectly.
I bought that foregrip for my ar, but it's way too small for my hand
You could always add a vertical front grip to it

You need a mlok vertical grip. The moe won't work on mlok

A handguard removal tool, $15 to $25, makes this job a whole lot easier. How hot does the handguard get after sustained fire?✌🏽

Love it but dude can't put the vertical grip where the lug is ..... and I disagree and definitely House Performance gives you more options in a greater range of hand placement
I got rid of the vertical grip because it did not work with hand guard. So that was a bummer. But someone mentioned there is one that will work with this hand guard.
You will shoot better because you have eliminated the hand guard wobble.
