What you should do is make another version of this map without the mirror, and re-introduce this map at a timing you believe they'll voteskip it again (give your fellow streamers the instructions to start the voteskip early to encourage the vote). But then when it gets voteskipped, the mirror-less version gets started because it's the next in line, and then you tell people something along the lines that you weren't planning on playing that map, but because they so eagerly voted for it...
It's unfortunate that the track isn't actually in the right position for the mirror to be a mirror. With the mirror at the 45 degree angle that it is, the actual track should be much closer to the mirror for the mirror image to make sense.
On this idea, make a completely blind "dead reckoning" map. (Dead reckoning = navigation with only time and directions) Like your programming map, have a start area with directions, something like this: "0:15 - West 0:22 - North 0:28 - Northeast" etc. Memorize the directions and approximate times (the track should be wide enough to have some margin for error and speed variations, but with a single beginning boster and flat ground, there shouldn't be too much variation) The goal, memorize directions and then blindly navigate to the finish. Maybe you can add HUGE N, E, S, W letters far off in the distance with little ticks at the in-between headings like NW, NE etc. to help navigate

Make a somewhat simple looking track (maybe in a large box/room the skybox might ruin the illusion), with a downhill 'tunnel' section near the end that at first glance and in photo mode looks like it simply connects back to where they began (track starts in the exit of this tunnel, with a 'cosmetic' finish behind it). Put a logic trigger in one of the checkpoints so they have to hit it. The logic hides the cosmetic finish, changes the tunnel's roof to hide the section housing the start, and makes the initially gentle looking downhill slope disappear, revealing a steeper slope hidden underneath. The new tunnel exit leads to a scaled up duplicate version of the track hidden below the first one, making it seem like the drivers were shrunk while going through the tunnel. You could repeat it again, 'shrinking' them more if you want. The real finish would be at the end of one of the scaled up tunnels.
Make a pachinko machine with 4 outcomes that will allow 1 of 4 tracks to be open, all 4 tracks leads to the same place with another pachinko with another for tracks.
yeah honestly compared to quite a few other maps in the past this one is fairly short to memorize with markers and really isnt bad at all, no idea why there was such a visceral reaction to this one, although id imagine kinda boring to drive.
A theme I've sort of been expecting for a while and haven't seen yet, is Escher themed tracks. I'd love to see all of you have a go at that, since there are so many options.

Codewalt's felt like a teeny tiny betrayal because he makes lovely looking maps most of the time....by comparison we expect pain from you, kAN.....just....not this much.
You should remake this, keeping the mirror and the lampposts, but change the actual track. the mirror track is identical, but the actual track is different. Maybe it also moves around. You get lamp posts in the same spots, but they're all msidirections

This is a 10 minute video and I’m pretty sure he’s gonna drop tracks for the drop was at least 30 seconds long. Don’t remember the link for the video, but I’m pretty sure that was at least shorter than this one.
Just seen Drunkshinobi in the game chat and I remember him from the Polybridge days. If he's into this, expect something crazy from that dude onve he starts figuring out building tracks. xD Anyroad, your tracks are amazing kAn. If only the mirror would actually reflect the soapboxes too, that'd be extra confusing. Maybe some logic only the reflection or a shadow of yours can trigger. (Or an object that represents you on the other track.) But that may be too much? Then again, crazy things have been invented in this game.

That was the first thing I noticed and it baffles me that KAN made this map without realising that the distances do not make sense.
Instead of thinking in terms of left/right, just think closer/further. If the track is going closer to the meeting point, you also go closer, etc.
