Nissan Navara D40 YD25 engine vacuum pump repair

This is very important to take a look at when you replace / upgrade the timing chain kit as the history of YD25 engine timing chain failures and the vacuum pump may get heavily warn and damage so better to replace the bearing as this may caused a deadly in case of malfunction of the vacuum pump.

Common mistake when your mechanic replacing the timing chain kit... this is what you need to ask about before or while replacing the kit.
01. Mark the existing points on the cam , crank and fuel pump sprockets.
02. Rotate and lock the crank and fuel pump
03. Do not replace only the chains - it's mandatory to replace complete 15 pcs set
04. Replace the water pump along with the chain replace.
05. Inspect the shaft and bearing on the vacuum pump, if you notice a rough sounds and play, replace the bearing before begin to install the timing chain kit. (attached video is a shaft and faulty bearing of the vacuum pump)
06. Inspect the sprocket of the vacuum pump, ensure the outer shim rotate freely.
