Hello, thanks for the great videos. I have a Navara that requires a the 14956EB300 pressure control but only 14956EB708 seems to be available to purchase. Is the 708 version compatible with the 2006/2007 2.5 Navara (production date was October 2006).
Thank you very much. There seems to be low vacuum pressure, but the brakes are good. Is there a simple way to test the vacuum is sufficient for the pressure controller to be able to operate properly? Many thanks James
Well, there must be an issue with the block of the air supply hoses or leak.. so do a full inspection of the hose till the main vacuum supply that direct from the left (rather driving side) side of the engine bay…. Check whether you get sufficient vacuum on the direct line and compare the different between direct line and through the solenoid
That means the actuator is not Working properly. So better you take off the actuator / waste-gate and do some service and install it back… you probably needs to service the turbocharger compressor side… I’ve done a video recently and shall share the link so you can get an idea

After resetting it, the engine returned back to normal, quiet and power restored but only for a few days. Now the problem is back. I wonder where should I start to look for the problem. Boost solenoid, MAP sensor or perhaps can SCV cause 0238?
Please check the turbo booster sensor… it maybe due to the block of intercooler… so do the following first Check the wire socket of the booster sensor (you can find it on the intercooler on the driver side) Clean the intercooler
hi what is the defenses between turbo solenoid valve and wastegate and can we change the turbo whth one ho have wastegate and baypas the solenoid valve please reply thank you
Solenoid valve is to control the turbo / actuator according to the system settings. Waste-gate / PWE sensor is to monitor the intercooler pressure, if the pressure is over 14 PSI it will release the pressure. If not the turbo will overboot with the backfire If the turbo is bypassed the same things, that the turbo will overboots and damage the cartilage or the impeller

I have a squealing noise from my actuator when the vacuum hose is connected when I take it off the squealing noise disappears. Would that be the boost control solenoid
Good day, Connect the vacuum hose and rev it up to 300rmp and check whether the squealing noise increase. If so it's to do with the turbo Imperial. If the noise remains the same, you need to bypass the vacuum line from the solenoid and repeat the above. (bypass means, connect the vacuum line directly to the turbo actuator line Once the above done share the feedback
hi bro. great video. I have one issue , I recently bought a solenoid to try this however, I cannot seem to find my old solenoid in my engine bay. Do you know anything about spanish built Navara D40 and could help direct me to it, or anything that will help me fit this new one. Would I be right in saying there isn't one in my model ?? cheers
Well, that means someone has removed the solenoid and bypassed the turbo line, otherwise every navara D40 that comes with turbo should have the solenoid to regulate vacuum, just follow the air tubes / hoses and see it has mounted anywhere else, otherwise I believe this video will help to mount and connect the vacuum line appropriately, if anything pls do let me know and I’m more than happy to help with you
Very helpful video apparently they fall on the road and have to be cable tied. Mines also missing or was removed am left with pipping all along was suspecting the injectors. Very helpful video.
Helpful video. My Navara D40 recently experienced a low turbo boost and there is a spill of engine oil in the intercooler Hose. May I ask if why there's an oil in there? I performed the test of my solenoid valve like you do in the video and the turbo actuator is not functioning, so I decided to buy a new turbo solenoid. Thank you!
Thank you * have you check the vacuum line directly from the engine bay? As there maybe direct vacuum hose damage or off the pipe. With regards to the oil leak, it maybe damage of the oil seal in the turbocharger either turbine or compressor side. That most happening due to either turbo over booster
@@abcautotrendy Thank you very much for the advice. I will check the vacuum from the engine bay. But if the solenoid valve is functioning, there should be a vacuum air going to the Turbine Wastegate ? Is it also possible that the trace of oil in the intercooler pipe is related to the non functioning of the Turbo Solenoid Valve or a defective Turbo Actuator? As I check the level of my engine oil, there's a decrease in it.
@@abcautotrendy Good morning. I already checked the direct line of the vacuum pump and feel that there is no suction air in the hose. Is it possible that the problem is the Vacuum Pump? How strong should be the suction of the vacuum? Thanks again.
In that case let’s follow the last option to test the vacuum pump * remove the main vacuum line that goes to brake booster while the engine start ( when you remove the hose you would get a deep down suction noise) * Connect the hose back to the booster * follow the vacuum hose 10mm that goes to distribution line from the same side of the brake booster and see any disconnection * the vacuum is slightly feel of suction to the finger tip
Most probably the vacuum line or the solenoid. Try connecting the direct vacuum line that comes from the other side of the engine and check... The main vacuum line connection is just below the brake booster (check there it may have disconnected the vacuum line) Or if you're getting the vacuum line perfectly, then just bypass the vacuum line from the solenoid and check... (it's not advisable to have the direct vacuum line on the turbo actuator but only for test purposes.
Hi, I have a question. I see in this video that one of the exit from the air filter resonator is blocked. Is it blocked on all models? I have a R51 from 2008 with DPF and I have some big issues going up hill and can not find the reason. With the pedal to the flor when I try to go up a hill will not accelerate more than 35 km/h. A response will be appreciated. Thank you!
In my understanding when you give full load on hill climbing, lack of pulling power, it could be from one of the below reason * before that may I know whether it’s blowing black smoke while rev? 01. Lack of power on the turbo - it would be a mechanical issue on the turbo that either oil leak or compressor leak toward the throttle through the intercooler So please have the following check 01. Any turbo hose pipe has lose connection with air pressure leak 02. Intercooler block - have it clean by taking off 03. EGR block 04. Throttle body and intake clog with carbon so clean Do you have any chance to perform a scan and share the details with me via WhatsApp?
Thank you for the response. No, I don't have a scanning tool :(. On load is blowing black smoke, but, if I accelerate the car when I stand still it isn't blowing. So it blows only when the car moves and I accelerate hard.
Hi good day! Would you be able to check the status of the solenoid valve? If the valve is malfunctioning this can be a results. However do one thing. 01. Check the main vacuum line has enough of air suction to the solenoid. 02. Check the turbo actuator lifter is tight and diaphragm is stuck
It's common and base on manufacturer fault as well of it does not get hold up on proper pressure inside the solenoid.. So try following a few workarounds 01. Disconnect the solenoid and reconnect 02. Block the air release hose (that goes to the air intake line or the last pipe tip of the solenoid The above will enhance the solenoid performance Otherwise, just try bypassing the solenoid If the actuator/diaphragm flapping stop from above you know the answers and In case of the problem is still present, then lastly you need to replace the turbo actuator/diaphragm
I have changed the boost solenoid and that has corrected a lot of issues , but, my turbo up around the 2500rpm and accelerating seems to come in in stages like surges, or is it another issue?
It would be due to the lack of fuel injection or wrong crank timing , that would have caused one of the below If you have a scanner perform following 1. Clean the fuel pump 2. Clear the EGR 3. Clear the DPF If the above does not help to resolve the issue 01. Remove the crank sensor and use another one

Please check the video properly, in fact 01. otherwise the wiring should be vacuum line connect to the first pipe on the solenoid. Second line connect to the turbo actuator. 03 third pipe connect to the air cleaner If you have connect the pipe correctly it should work unless the solenoid failed
Technically it should be next to or near the air cleaner compartment. Unless it had moved. So better to follow back the vacuum hose line from the turbo to the solenoid
Yes, it would either be booster sensor or solenoid. However if the solenoid response to the ECU it would not throw any fault code, and it can be rectified only with few of manual test like what I’ve done in this video
@@abcautotrendy ok, thank you. I've tested mine yesterday with an obd ready and it's throwing up no code's. I tried the pipe on and off the actuator, and the rod barely moves. So I'm hoping it is the boost valve that is playing up.

Are you having a auto or manual transmission? P1273 comes in two different ways that one to work with SCV and other is with limiter valve, but the basic needs to be checked with the fuel filter
@@abcautotrendy Thank you for your feedback. Nissan Navara 2008 year of manufacture. Manual transmission. I have been looking for a problem for more than 6 years. Symptoms. It works fine, runs fast, there are no errors. I accelerate to a speed of 120-140, the engine goes into emergency mode. It works at idle, it practically does not react to the gas pedal. I turn it off/start it up, everything is fine again. The check engine lamp is off, in memory 1273. Changed the control valve of the turbine geometry, changed the scv, does not help. I throw off the error with the pedals. I noticed a reaction to the vacuum control. The old control valve before it finally failed, worked for two days, I took it off. When it worked, the engine worked like a clock, without cracking and acceleration was even scary to push the gas pedal to the floor. The valve was replaced, but the problem has not been solved. There is no proper description of 1273 anywhere.

Then need to check with the gearbox and the engine pulling power 1. Perform a scan and check whether you get any DTC 2. Learn the transmission and notice any delay between the transmission and torque controller BTW I still suspect it would be turbo

Hello
Recently I noticed that my D40 had poorer acceleration and the engine sounded rough when I pressed the accelerator pedal. I did the pedal dance and had 0238 code. After resetting it, the engine returned back to normal, quiet and power restored but only for a few days. Now the problem is back. I wonder where should I start to look for the problem. Boost solenoid, MAP sensor or perhaps can SCV cause 0238?
Please check the turbo booster sensor… it maybe due to the block of intercooler… so do the following first
Check the wire socket of the booster sensor (you can find it on the intercooler on the driver side)
Clean the intercooler

hi what is the defenses between turbo solenoid valve and wastegate
and can we change the turbo whth one ho have wastegate and baypas the solenoid valve
please reply thank you
Solenoid valve is to control the turbo / actuator according to the system settings.
Waste-gate / PWE sensor is to monitor the intercooler pressure, if the pressure is over 14 PSI it will release the pressure. If not the turbo will overboot with the backfire
If the turbo is bypassed the same things, that the turbo will overboots and damage the cartilage or the impeller
@@abcautotrendyhi thank youfor reply
so any turbo don't have solenoid valve well over bosst
because i see some turbo do not have solenoid valve
they only have wastegate and i think the wastegate open in 8psi and when open Redirection the exhaust gas so he don't go throu the turbo and when he redirect the gas it should the turbo not over bosst or am wrong? please Help me understand
Newly redesigned turbo does not have solenoid to control, those call electronic waste-gate actuators. Which has the inbuilt solenoid functions
I did the same test and mine actually moves up and down,But still very underpowered and blows heaps of black smoke
Please then have a look at the fuel side
perhaps fuel all sistem line.
in my case pressure valve fuel (i find it rusty )
another major problem injector malfunction on d40
and turbo malfunction oil leaking
Just check whether all injectors are unregistered
How you do that
You need to have a scanner dear
I have the same car but I have black smoke coming out from the bottom of the turbo in the middle!!! Why?
Is that from the turbo or just check whether the flexible has broken in between the silencer just below the turbo
I have a squealing noise from my actuator when the vacuum hose is connected when I take it off the squealing noise disappears. Would that be the boost control solenoid
Good day,
Connect the vacuum hose and rev it up to 300rmp and check whether the squealing noise increase. If so it's to do with the turbo Imperial.
If the noise remains the same, you need to bypass the vacuum line from the solenoid and repeat the above.
(bypass means, connect the vacuum line directly to the turbo actuator line
Once the above done share the feedback
hi bro. great video. I have one issue , I recently bought a solenoid to try this however, I cannot seem to find my old solenoid in my engine bay. Do you know anything about spanish built Navara D40 and could help direct me to it, or anything that will help me fit this new one. Would I be right in saying there isn't one in my model ?? cheers
Well, that means someone has removed the solenoid and bypassed the turbo line, otherwise every navara D40 that comes with turbo should have the solenoid to regulate vacuum, just follow the air tubes / hoses and see it has mounted anywhere else, otherwise I believe this video will help to mount and connect the vacuum line appropriately, if anything pls do let me know and I’m more than happy to help with you
removing the solenoid and bypassing the turbo line brings any benefits?
i just replaced 2times this solenoid on my 2009 db40
Well, that means bypassing the turbo, that's not advisable to do so as it will burst the turbo with high pressure s
Very helpful video apparently they fall on the road and have to be cable tied. Mines also missing or was removed am left with pipping all along was suspecting the injectors. Very helpful video.
@phumlanitrevorzondi2984 thanks and pleasure
Thank you!
Thank you
* have you check the vacuum line directly from the engine bay?
If decreasing of engine oil, then definitely the oil leak from the turbo and burnt in the exhaust
@@abcautotrendy Good morning. I already checked the direct line of the vacuum pump and feel that there is no suction air in the hose. Is it possible that the problem is the Vacuum Pump? How strong should be the suction of the vacuum? Thanks again.
In that case let’s follow the last option to test the vacuum pump
* remove the main vacuum line that goes to brake booster while the engine start ( when you remove the hose you would get a deep down suction noise)
* Connect the hose back to the booster
* follow the vacuum hose 10mm that goes to distribution line from the same side of the brake booster and see any disconnection
* the vacuum is slightly feel of suction to the finger tip

Your most welcome... Nice to meet you
@@abcautotrendy i already tested what you’ve done. But the vacum less pressure, Can’t lift up such in your video.
So the problem is vacum pressure?
Most probably the vacuum line or the solenoid. Try connecting the direct vacuum line that comes from the other side of the engine and check...
The main vacuum line connection is just below the brake booster (check there it may have disconnected the vacuum line)
Or if you're getting the vacuum line perfectly, then just bypass the vacuum line from the solenoid and check...
Thank you!
Hello there,
I could answer the question based on following details
01. Is the vehicle auto or manual transmission?
02. Is the vehicle euro3 or euro 4
@@abcautotrendy Hi, thank you for the reply, the vehicle is automatic, euro 4, Spanish built, but the inside of the DPF filter was removed.
In my understanding when you give full load on hill climbing, lack of pulling power, it could be from one of the below reason
* before that may I know whether it’s blowing black smoke while rev?
01. Lack of power on the turbo - it would be a mechanical issue on the turbo that either oil leak or compressor leak toward the throttle through the intercooler
So please have the following check
01. Any turbo hose pipe has lose connection with air pressure leak
02. Intercooler block - have it clean by taking off
03. EGR block
04. Throttle body and intake clog with carbon so clean
Do you have any chance to perform a scan and share the details with me via WhatsApp?
Thank you for the response. No, I don't have a scanning tool :(. On load is blowing black smoke, but, if I accelerate the car when I stand still it isn't blowing. So it blows only when the car moves and I accelerate hard.
I am planning on doing a full clean for the turbo piping, hot side and cold side. And also a turbo rebuild.
Selam video çok iyi benim navara 2006 model stop edince intercooler valfini kapatıyor ve tekrar açılmıyor yardımın olabilirmi tesekkurler 😊
Hi good day! Would you be able to check the status of the solenoid valve? If the valve is malfunctioning this can be a results. However do one thing.
01. Check the main vacuum line has enough of air suction to the solenoid.
02. Check the turbo actuator lifter is tight and diaphragm is stuck
after installing it. is there a need to reset the ecu sir?
The recommendation is to clear the DTC and replace it
Is this stoped the black smoke from exhaust?
Yes this will reduce the black smoke to some extent
when in idle position, my actuator won't stop move. it's move up and down. is that normal ?
I already check with my scanner , and nothing fault
It's common and base on manufacturer fault as well of it does not get hold up on proper pressure inside the solenoid.. So try following a few workarounds
01. Disconnect the solenoid and reconnect
02. Block the air release hose (that goes to the air intake line or the last pipe tip of the solenoid
The above will enhance the solenoid performance
Otherwise, just try bypassing the solenoid
If the actuator/diaphragm flapping stop from above you know the answers and In case of the problem is still present, then lastly you need to replace the turbo actuator/diaphragm
I have changed the boost solenoid and that has corrected a lot of issues , but, my turbo up around the 2500rpm and accelerating seems to come in in stages like surges, or is it another issue?
It would be due to the lack of fuel injection or wrong crank timing , that would have caused one of the below
If you have a scanner perform following
1. Clean the fuel pump
2. Clear the EGR
3. Clear the DPF
If the above does not help to resolve the issue
01. Remove the crank sensor and use another one
@@abcautotrendy you are a star, yet to perform your suggestions but I will, takes off in all gears like I don’t remember before but as I commented around 2500 rpm there is a big hesitation but after 1 -3 seconds it’s off again after a puff of black
@@abcautotrendy can I ask your opinion please.
Is there any benefit or not to blanking the EGR i value your suggestion to blank or not
