Reasonable choice. Movement is king in this game. I find single-target buff spells are a bit better in Frostgrave and its fantasy cousins than in Stargrave. The much larger amount of ranged damage flying around in the scifi game makes it harder to keep a buffed model alive, since there's a real tendency to focus fire to kill buff targets ASAP.
Frostgrave definitely has more options for buffing abilities. Most of Stargrave’s are Self only which makes it harder to pump up your soldiers. That’s always a downer when your best troops get teamed up on after investing equipment and power-ups into them.
Another argument for Fleet Feet is that you can cast it turn 1, and if it fails, turn 2. Usually when you need leap, transpose, etc it is a "must succeed now" type of situation. Added to this you may have more than one priority when you need it, but if FF is already done early, you no longer need to worry about it. I like spells I can cast early to buff my troops, and then use other spells once the fight is on. Scroll for Time Walk I had not thought about. Normally I avoid scroll use as you get no xp, but with that one you can use a scroll, and still get twice the xp from casting that you normally would. That really just boosted both TW and write Scroll in my mind.
That’s a good point you make about FF going into effect before you get into a “must succeed situation”. The Time Walk/Write Scroll combo is pretty powerful.

Full agreement from me. Also, there's something hilarious with a Movement 9 Soldier (or 10, if you have a dog)...
It does feel pretty crazy when you can move 9 or 10 inches on a single move.
