Lovely video Heather, with a nice recap of what you loved and plan to grow, etc. I appreciate the details about why you love certain ones and how they work in your area, etc. Love sprouts and microgreens, just so tasty and nutritious. Super sweet kitties, always a pleasure to see them too!
Your cats are beautiful!!! It's great that you have been able to use the young boys to do some of the yard work! With all the rain, mowing has been difficult. Finding a dry day before the grass gets too tall has been frustrating this summer. I would have loved to have some help from a few four legged friends!😂 I enjoyed seeing which crops were your favorites and hope to try a few next spring. It will be interesting to see what sprouts for you in the coming days! Thanks for sharing and stay safe!!!
Love the review of the garden seeds! What you did with radishes and some other "mystery seeds" I did this year with old bean seeds. They were leftovers from 2012 and 2018, so if they grow they grow and if they don't, it's just a little garden space nothing else is waiting on right now. I had tried soaking a bunch of bean seeds (including some of the old ones), planted them in early August and did not get even one sprout from the old ones even though they did not float when I put them in the soaking water. So - chances are the unsoaked ones won't grow either, but I also scattered some turnip and blue tansy seeds so SOMETHING will hopefully grow there. 😉 Also, we tend to make our own rainbow mix of carrots, radishes, and leaf lettuces (just dump all the similar type of seeds in a jar, mix. and label) to plant out because we love all the colors and it makes it more fun at harvest time.
I totally appreciate how careful & economical you always are, Heather! You use every bit of space you have for gardening & using up all older seed.... You are a great example for all of us!! God bless!
Please try watering troublesome root crops with refrigerated water. No joke. Heard of several professional growers trying it to get cold weather crops to produce. Many grand blessings everyone everywhere.
I have planted Broccoli Rabe before, i think it was spring last year! It's got a pretty bitter flavor. I like Yod Fah Broccoli though and need to buy more seeds! ♥

Just fyi. King of the North pepper beats CA wonder all to pieces. Many blessings everyone everywhere
I'll have to try it!!!
I love your just toss them all in there garden idea. I think I'll have to try that. I have some older seeds that I'd love to use up.
It's been fun!! Time will tell what germinates and if we have a need to thin!
I love chaos gardening and garden kitties LOL
The best!!! Haha! ❤️🐈⬛
Ah Radishes, now you're talking my love language lol Your cat is so vocal. It's very amusing.
I hope we have a good germination rate!!
Must be a male cat. Mine acts just like that. From Ontario Canada ❤❤❤
Both cats are female! ♥
I like the serial sowing strategy! Good way to use up seeds that need to be planted.
Thanks! We have germination! 🎉

So far nothing but it's only been 2 days haha! I'm so glad we have had no more horrible heat in our area and they stand a chance at germination!

I LOVE the idea of a hodgepodge root bed like that!
Heres to a fruitful fall garden this year!
Hope so!! ♥♥

Awe, thank you Merry Anne! I hope we have a decent germination!! ♥

That's very smart! Thank you!!!
Hello Heather, I've been looking for broccoflower(sp) at the grocery store but I can't ever find it. Do you ever plant it? ❤❤❤
I have planted Broccoli Rabe before, i think it was spring last year! It's got a pretty bitter flavor. I like Yod Fah Broccoli though and need to buy more seeds! ♥
@@SageandStoneHomestead it's broccoli and cauliflower mixed together.
Wow I've never herd of it!
Lol. It would be hard to imagine you NOT having another goat video coming soon. ❤
Definitely! Since the garden videos usually drop Monday the next goat video will likely be Wednesday next week ❤️🐐❤️
The Cabbage referenced was Glory of Enkhuizen! I swore I typed that out but it doesn't look like it is populating! Sorry!
Lol. From someone who lives 35 minutes from Enkhuizen, it's a great thing to see the fields with them. Greetings from the Netherlands.
That must be a breathtaking sight in person!!! Thanks so much for watching! ♥
Can you not plant the rutabagas outside? We grew them very successfully in NW Florida, zone 8.
We totally could! Condensing down to one growing space to manage will be easiest for me over winter. 😊
Is there an update on these beds yet? I'd love to see it!
Yes! Every week in the garden tour we show an update, and tomorrow is the latest one! We are harvesting from them already! :)
Here is the garden update from last week, the serial sown beds are in here!
