Good day, Pretty Lady, awesome video today. I love watching days where you take us for a few different things.
Your kids look so happy. Lots of love and prayers for everyone who was affected by the storms that went though around you.
Loved this one! Thank you for some goat time!
You bet!! 🤩❤️🐐
Lovely garden tour, Heather. Really love seeing the progress and how things are doing. Fingers crossed your daughter likes the Chicken n Dumpling peas, hahaha. Chicken N Dumplings are yummy! I can't remember if you have showed a recipe for dumplings, do you ever swap in rabbit for the chicken? Got my SNS goatie goat fix in, thank you! Hope Winnie and Gopher do well with their treatment. Feral seems to still be growing? He looks bigger/taller to me? His hairdo is as fabulous as always, haha. Thank you for working through the power outage to still prep a video.
💚💚
Feral has grown a lot! We regularly do rabbit and dumplings in place of chicken! I should show that one day!!
Thank you Levi for your service 🙏
Heather Thank you as well. I don't really know what a mother of children to take care of, and having to do all on your own. You are a very powerful, strong, smart and loving. You and Levi are a great team. You have beautiful amazing kiddos, and wonderful goatie goats. What a wonderful garden it's amazing and full of life ❤ Can forget Buster what a happy and exciting boy
I'm truly grateful for everyone that made it through this terrific storms. I pray everyday for the safety of all in the path of these storms 🙏 🙏🏻🕊✝️
Thank you Kathy! When Levi was in the military we took it day by day. Military life is a unique thing and the military wives bonded fast and we all had each other and looked after the kids. It's a blessing to live near family when possible but when we didn't we made it through with great friends.
Awesome video Heather. Nice to see all the goats. The baby bucks look so handsome, gorgeous markings. Thank Levi for his services and Happy Memorial Day. Thank you for sharing. Love and Blessings. ❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏 Doris, Penrith 🇦🇺🦘
Great to see a video from you after the weekend of storms. Continued prayers for those with damage or loss! Stay safe!🙏❤
Awesome video Heather!! I got to see Margie, I love her. The first batch of seeds you covered up at the picnic table...it kinda looked like you were playing a harp and it made me giggle. Glad to see your power is back on!! 💜👍💜 Aunt Beth
Haha that is funny!! Yes the power was out about 36 hours. Not too bad, but I think it's the longest we have been without power since living here.
While I'm in the desert we can have summer pneumonia here too. I have an 8 yr old that seems to get it every year when the weather turns hot. Just finished up a week of antibiotics and a week of milk withdrawal. She's doing much better than the first day she was acting off with a fever of 107.1 (that was scary). So far no body else is having an issue. I am very lucky to not have the worm loads you have in the wetter climates.
Holy smokes that is incredibly scary. Marge had a fever that high one time and the vet said it was coccidia! I was shocked she was 4 years old and should not have had to deal with coccidia. The vet only treated her for worms and after her body wasn't dealing with worms it was able to handle the rest. Craziness!
Clover practicing her line dancing skills. LOL
Have you tried runner beans? They are supposed to be perennial. I can't wait to be in a place where I can try them. 😄
Oh interesting! I have not tried them!
Thanks for another great video! Glad you, your family and the farm/animals made it safe through the storms. Fantastic garden and I love the passion you have for your animals!
Your gardens are looking amazing!!
Been keeping you in prayer through all these storms! So glad your homestead is safe! God bless!
Thank you SO much Merry Anne!! ♥
I always enjoy your videos, Heather! And it's wonderful to see how BIG the babies from last Spring and Fall are getting! (They Grow Up So Fast! I was going to do the hashtag thing, but didn't want it flagged - LOL)
It might allow it! You can do it I just have to approve it lol!!!
Thanks for the updates and goati-ness!!!!
You bet!
The Malabar spinach is looking great! 😊
Yes it's starting to coil around the trellis!! ♥
Welcome back Heather. I am glad you and family and animals are all safe. I have been missing my fix of Sage and Stone. So it's back to normal. ( what ever that is.lol )
Thanks Heather. Have a great day.
Haha yes thankfully the power was only out for about 36 hours!!
I loved the video and just watching your routine with the goats and rabbits. Thanks :)
Adorable, love the goats ❤
Those storms took out my tomatoes
Hugs! I'm so sorry!!
Ahahaha, my terrier would have had that Asparagus off you in a heart beat! She's already eaten most of my radishes, and keeps begging for the cucumbers that haven't even grown yet! I'm getting side eye when I tell her the carrots are not ready, and I still have to plant the beans. Apparently I'm a bad Doggo Mum 😒🤣
LOL I'm actually surprised he didn't take it. Although, he turns his nose up to anything but the "junk food" treats too. I tried to buy nice ones and he was not having it!

My health needs are pretty drastic n heart healthy n also less carb intake 😒 but thank goodness I ❤ Fish n poultry n garden foods 😋😁❗
Hugs, nana! Rabbits are amazing and a great quality meat source!!
My Luffa took about a month to germinate.. it just started climbing the trellis
Ours are up! The trick is to snip the bottom of the seed just a little so the water can penetrate into the seed faster!
A gallon and a half of milk each day is still a lot. We get close to a gallon and eat A LOT of cheese. I think Megan is planning on making yogurt this week, too.
I just weaned some babies and now we are getting 2 gallons a day! Fluctuating milk supply haha. We have been making chevre like crazy because that's an awesome cream cheese substitute!!
The flies! Ugh. My milk room is inside the shop, but it still gets a lot of flies. They are horrible! I had a doe suddenly become ill. I noticed diarrhea and she was off on her own. I treated her with every thing I could, but she died over night. It was crazy because it happened so fast!
So many hugs, I am so sorry! Some stuff hits hard and fast. ♥♥
i get weeds in the corners of my beds im growing beans in my bed corners to try and cut down on that issue
That is smart! Shade those weeds out ♥

Hi heather! Im attempting to create a cattle pannel squash tunnel like you did , i was curious how close together you planted your seedlings for that?
Squash should be planted 3 feet apart :) You can plant them closer to ensure you get a good number of them established but then you'll want to thin them.
Hi Heather I was just wondering if you have an issue with snakes , I live in Queensland Australia and that is always on my mind in the garden because we have deadly brown snakes here 😖
I had a 4 foot black snake slithering around on the rabbit cages in the barn the other day!! We do have snakes here, most are nonvenomous but yes boots are smart!
How long do you leave your does with your bucks? Loved seeing the rabbits. Do you go by the same rules for your pet rabbits. Are there any quick tips on growing asparagus?
Yes we stop breeding all rabbits at the same time. I've been able to get an extra litter out of the non-bulky breeds in the past since they handle the heat better, but it's easier on me to put rabbit breeding on hold during canning and preserving season too. We leave the goat does with their bucks for at least 21 days to try to make sure they are with them at least 2 heat cycles. If they miss the first cycle there is another opportunity :) Asparagus needs a good bit of compost and water to get going well, and of course don't harvest the year you establish the crowns. If you planted two year crowns you can harvest lightly that next year after planting and then start to harvest more heavily in the years after as the crown grows.
Where did you get the chicken and dumpling peas seeds from?
Sow True Seed out of North Carolina! (online)
Hey Heather!!! Love the video. What size is your greenhouse?
25x40!
