Thats why i think that starter zone is rly the best choice. Escorting servants back to base from these high level areas are probably one of most frustrating things in the game. You cant use teleports with them, but you can use caves which is super helpfull.
yeah the spot he says he regrets taking is in the best zone. it's within 30sec-1min travel from 2 cave passage exits, one that comes directly from Silverlight Hills and one that comes from Cursed Forest with 2 short jumps in cave passages. So it makes it the BEST zone.
For the solo players be aware that the deeper you go into the map the higher level mobs there are. They can and will kill you and you lose all your inventory when you go to respawn after death. You have to decide whether to try and level up before going deeper to those places Demone spoke about to build a base or choose to build your base in the lower level mob areas and then work your way in but knowing your base is in the lower areas and travel becomes much longer between your base and resources.

that was my spot as well when i was playing. Just use your own portal to go in cursed forest and come back right away with the passage. As for the silver mines, well you're just next to it so coming back from it isn't that bad.
I build my castle near the exit to the farm land on the upper right side in the open area, found it an excellent spot, had a treant directly out front of my base and my base entrance went to the walking path. this causes a MASSIVE amount of loot to be found on the ground everytime I exited my base, the treant wipes out the passerbys constantly
Absolutely love the content you been putting out on this game. I just picked it up 2 days ago and been playing it since and loving it. My only critique on the video goes to the point of where to build your Castle base starting out. Your recommending higher level areas and speaking from the point of someone far along in the game to which your not gonna recommend starter areas. But a new person starting out has nothing and little skill and they have to start somewhere or they gonna get slaughtered by higher level mobs. As well it depends on whether your also playing entirely Solo and have all the choices or on a Multiplayer server which you may live limited choice where you can even find a plot to plop a Castle down. I'm on a Multiplayer server starting the game and just finding a good spot to place a Castle took me 3-4 hours to eventually find wandering one entire side the map on the Western side initially where i just ran into castles everywhere on my server. They had a week start many and we got around 40 people already. I was wondering almost into the 2nd zone avoid mobs like crazy as hard tp find a spot. It wasnt until i tried the other Eastern side of the map i found a nice spot in the starter area and settled onto it. But that took a lot of time on a Multiplayer PVE server.

The Red Castle on the NW elevated land in Farsbane seems to be a pretty good location. It is right smack dab in the middle between the two entrances to Dunley and Silverlight. Plus it’s a pretty good size for building extra defense if you’re in a PVP server.
Since you get 2 castle hearts those playing solo or on a private server could throw up a starter castle near the northern part of the Farbane Woods. Even if there's a bit of a schlep for Iron you can still make the rounds of bandit camps for Paper and random research scrolls to unlock a fair bit of the tech tree.
That would be cool to be able to teleport from your castle to your other one (with ressources in inventory) Like that you could build without worries a castle in the first part of the map then later start the second one in the end game part of the map
I built my base in the very bottom left of silverlight Hills on a duo pvp server my friend built his base as a wall around the entire valley that's just there to house the cheap stuff and make it hard to get to my base where we put all of the valuable stuff . The best part about having the base there, was that in the early game it made it really easy to farm in the docks where you can get crap tonnes of glass, leather, iron, copper, sulphur, fish oil, fish, and cloth and whetstones, which has made the game so much faster, getting back from the cursed forest is annoying so that is the only major problem, but other than that, it is very defensible, and since there isnt really many respawn points in the silverlight mountains and the enemy patrols make horse riding really hard, it makes attacking the base extremely difficult
Recently started, playing singleplayer. Only just got out of Farbane woods, progressing into Dunley Farmlands and I picked the worst damn spot to start my castle lol. Almost certainly going to have to transfer all of my stuff to a better spot, here soon.
Yeah, I figured that's why they give you 2 hearts. So you can leapfrog and slowly build up a new place without having to demolish your old one right away
So at the very start of a new server in multiplayer, players/clans will run toward silverlight hills, sneak past the Mobs and start a base north of brighthaven cathedral. That is the single best late game location and if you get there early you can block off the entire area and have one of the largest castles in a hard to attack location with the highest tier loot at your door. Most clans send 1 or two players to do this while the rest farm up and speed run to end game content where they already have a secure location with plenty of space to jump too. There are a few good beginner zone locations... but in truth most of them become obsolete in the late game. There are some that remain good throughout though. The lower left regions of the map for instance have fairly easy access to silverlight hills and can even be constructed in a way which blocks out other players from accessing the connecting land between silverlight and farbane woods.
i guess i got lucky. been playing for 3 hours had trouble finding a spot. suddenly i saw a treant or something with a skull next to its name. so i made a run up the hill and build there. but my luck a plant monster spawns close ( on the path of the patrols they keep killing eachother ) and if they passed that they kill the treant. i have like free plant fiber and wood xD something hides because of wolves / moose walking through. at 2:22 its exactly where the red castle is next to the green portal icon thing.

In addition to the regular marked teleporters, which as you noted won't let you teleport with resources, there are one-way caves that will teleport you with resources even jumping from one entire region to another, and you have mobility options like Wolf Form or using a horse from Dudley Farmlands(they're easy to snag from the racing track). Vampire lore often paints them as being pretty confrontational with one another, as they fight for top spot. They only really unite when under any sort of mass attack or threat.
You are not taking the cave system into account. I have my base in the same spot you do and the two nearest cave exits are the best two exits to build around
exactly, Im the mountain right above his, best spot ever. Takes me 30sec to bring prisoners and mats back from Silverlight and like 2min to come back from Cursed Forest.
yes, default is 2 castle hearts so 2 castles. I think the original intention is to be able to move. Set up new base and transfer stuff from old base to new base.
decide that for yourself. you can rush northward at the beginning of the game but you have to be careful because higher level mobs will gank you. it also means that you have to travel longer southward at the beginning of the game in order to grind early resources and V bloods. this will be an investment for the future base size depends on you, are you solo? if you are doing PvP it's recommended that you have at least enough space to have multiple refining stations in order to save time. the game lets you build 2 castles, you can relocate as long as you have 1 spare castle heart to use make decisions for yourself
My question is, how do you move the coffin without losing your slave? I was moving my castle but i just couldnt figure it out so I had to terminate them and just build new coffins. Also keep in mind that the game doesnt consider the upgrades, I destroyed my level e heart hoping for the glass and other required stuff, but I only got back the initial construction materials.
you can't refund the castle heart upgrade materials, and you also can't transfer servants to a new location. You can only bring prisoners with you, one by one.
Hey demone! Quick question. I have a castle heart placed and a base build around it but I found a better location. Is there a way to delete my castle heart and move it somewhere else? And if so how. Thank you :)
@Nic Vagedes Go the the castle that you want to dismantle. Go into the build menu and highlight what you want to dismantle and then press the spacebar key. Once all the items are then you can remove your heart.
What exactly happens if my base get raided? thinking on playing in a pvp server, but dont want to get stressed out or forced to play afraid to loose everything
There are 2 pvp servers to my memory one where players can kill you but you will keep your weapons and gear but all your resources get wipe and the other pvp server....yeah..you can fill in this one...it's really hardcore.
there are custom servers for everything. i play on a server with pvp on but no raiding bases. there are all kinds of servers just check their info what rules its played on. super customizable. something for everyone
If you're on a full server you'll likely be locked out of the best spots by other players. Otherwise, as mentioned in the vid, there are natural 'suggestions' provided by the game in form of plateaus with several access ramps. Some of these spots will even have decayed castle hearts left over from the war mentioned in the intro.
Just want to say that red castle on the edge of the right side of the second zone is where I set my first build before going into the real build I will eventually destroy my old base.
Honest great video….but I hate that you made this. Now people won’t explore first or discover the map. I hope they release fresh servers because it’s a bit crowded.
The downfall of these games is something that will always plague them and ultimately make them fail. On a pvp side anyway, That is the constant flow of new players dealing with old players with insane mega bases on that server. The game developers are locked into constantly creating new servers in order to not have new players stuck on a server with people who had a week, month, 6 month head start. These new players will get rocked early unless put on new servers.
??? The whole point of the replay ability of these games are wipes, and new servers. You always want to be starting on new servers, and experienced players also love to start fresh and anew all the time
I like your video's Demone, but they must be paying all these people to promote it.. Or am i missing something 'amazing' ? I just imagine this being on mobile platform like albion.
Did you ever play Battlerite? Game was actually very fun, and there wasn't even that much to it. Survival games are fun, especially with friends, and coupling that with battlerite combat is awesome
I think he was telling us all the important stuff about the map, resources and mobs so us as the viewers can make the informed decision of where we want our bases to be. There's no right or wrong place to pick a base in my opinion, if you pick a base in the central area of the map your more likely to meet players that might want to target you than to place your base in the corner of the map, see what im saying?
the map is litterally just clifs and roads there is absolutely no space to build any bases this game is a terrible idea that somehow got turned into a game. It's beyond pathetic I have no fucking idea how anyone can like it
man they really trying to push this game huh, ill pass though. It's literally albion with less to do lol, not to mention once you do all the bosses its going to be boring af. Having no endgame in arpgs/rpg's these days is death (at least multiplayer ones)
theyve already stated they plan on adding late game content once they get more data on how smooth the player experience is. this isnt the final product

base size depends on you, are you solo? if you are doing PvP it's recommended that you have at least enough space to have multiple refining stations in order to save time.
the game lets you build 2 castles, you can relocate as long as you have 1 spare castle heart to use
make decisions for yourself
You have to dismantle everything in my experience, with the heart being last
@Nic Vagedes Go the the castle that you want to dismantle. Go into the build menu and highlight what you want to dismantle and then press the spacebar key. Once all the items are then you can remove your heart.
can you build more bases?
can you move your base's location?
You can build 2 bases, can't move a base, and have to delete a base to make a new base ( after 2nd ).
What exactly happens if my base get raided? thinking on playing in a pvp server, but dont want to get stressed out or forced to play afraid to loose everything
It's pvp... and you CAN lose everything. Just get good
@@Xepent amazing how useless one comment can be
There are 2 pvp servers to my memory one where players can kill you but you will keep your weapons and gear but all your resources get wipe and the other pvp server....yeah..you can fill in this one...it's really hardcore.
there are custom servers for everything. i play on a server with pvp on but no raiding bases. there are all kinds of servers just check their info what rules its played on. super customizable. something for everyone
I’m having trouble finding an open spot for a base.
I got the best base in the world in a T3 zone as my first base. Lol it’s the place marked on the map too
How? All the mobs will oneshot you until you are endgame geared o.o
@@IncubiAkster yea haha would of been a shit show for him 😂
how many tier 3 castles can I have?
So do you start a castle and abandon it to build again later in the game?
Can your base be attacked by AI at all?
Not yet
That’s an interesting question! Imagine when I starts happening.
UNless you find an empty server, as a new player, don;t bother, because you can guarantee every single decent location will already be taken.
Just want to say that red castle on the edge of the right side of the second zone is where I set my first build before going into the real build I will eventually destroy my old base.
Controller support?
is there a way to lock the mouse to the screen if you have more than one monitor?
Dual monitor tool is free and let's you lock the mouse to a monitor with a keybind
@@A7XLeon thank you!
How can I play this game, didnt see a buy button or anything at steam
It may not have released in your zone yet. Look up Kim's last video about release times.
Let’s see you fight fightincowboy
They Should Add Outpost Building And Like Slave Supply Chains For Castles/Buildings
Honest great video….but I hate that you made this. Now people won’t explore first or discover the map. I hope they release fresh servers because it’s a bit crowded.
i am playing solo sever
im glad there is only 50 people to a server
The downfall of these games is something that will always plague them and ultimately make them fail. On a pvp side anyway, That is the constant flow of new players dealing with old players with insane mega bases on that server. The game developers are locked into constantly creating new servers in order to not have new players stuck on a server with people who had a week, month, 6 month head start. These new players will get rocked early unless put on new servers.
That's what wipes are for.
??? The whole point of the replay ability of these games are wipes, and new servers. You always want to be starting on new servers, and experienced players also love to start fresh and anew all the time
My server prevents low lvl griefing so maybe find a better server
well i have to say as a new player PVP is just ridiculous. better gang up on the noob with 2-3 man. jesus fking christ man xD
I thought you were actually going to tell us a few good spots... Instead of telling us how the game worked lol
he did tell you plenty of spots to build?
@@Sirwin288 exact locations lol, out of the millions of spots... Still doesnt make sense?
I think he was telling us all the important stuff about the map, resources and mobs so us as the viewers can make the informed decision of where we want our bases to be. There's no right or wrong place to pick a base in my opinion, if you pick a base in the central area of the map your more likely to meet players that might want to target you than to place your base in the corner of the map, see what im saying?
“When I started playing the game” & “there are things I would have done differently”… emmm didn’t the game literally come out.. today? :D
He stated in another video he received early access and had 100+ hours by that video.
the map is litterally just clifs and roads there is absolutely no space to build any bases this game is a terrible idea that somehow got turned into a game. It's beyond pathetic I have no fucking idea how anyone can like it
Seethe and cope
worst game I have played ever in my life
Played 22mins of this and got a refund
why are you still here then ?
man they really trying to push this game huh, ill pass though. It's literally albion with less to do lol, not to mention once you do all the bosses its going to be boring af. Having no endgame in arpgs/rpg's these days is death (at least multiplayer ones)
God its nothing like albion but ok... albion combat sucks this doesnt
theyve already stated they plan on adding late game content once they get more data on how smooth the player experience is. this isnt the final product
This game is in early stages of development so the potential to add new terrain new mobs new item and gear systems are still there
Yeah it's nothing like albion, nice way to jump to conclusions about an early access game though.
Albion is garbage
Thralls. always thralls. 2 cents
