- After watching VLOG 26 when I completed the album, I now know that the Lunario show was before the VLOGs. That really surprised me as I thought they were at least a year or two older in this live show. Amazing.

In this show Dany had a programmable Helix Line 6 pedal board that can double or triple her guitar in different octaves with different effects each. More recently she has moved on to a Kemper. Dany did a rundown of her pedal board in 2020 and how she and Pau spent a year developing the programs for each song. For several years Pau would download the program for each song in real time from a laptop to her left. She used Ableton Live. Now they are all in Dany’s pedal board in advance. Pau still controls the backing and click tracks.
If you watch Pau’s Masterclass and Dany’s rundown video that you mentioned, they both give credit to Beto Ramos for working with Pau setting up and learning Ableton and helping Dany program her processor.
There appears to be a significant amount of TWA that still thinks Pau loads presets into Dany’s processor every song when in reality she only triggers the processor to the next song of the set list through MIDI.
There also appears to be a significant amount of TWA that gets offended when a reactor points out their use of backing tracks for sound effects, vocals and guitar parts.
It’s not a criticism of TW. Almost every band does it and TW use it relatively sparingly compared to most other touring bands. Dany and Pau for sure are tech nerds (and maybe Ale) and it would be stupid of them not to use the technology available to them especially as a 3 piece band.
The effects/program for each song have always been stored in the pedal board and they have never needed to be downloaded real time from the laptop. Dany programs them herself
Dany used to change the song manually before the start of each song early on then they switched the song using the lap top for a few years and since covid Dany does it manually again.
I love this song! They still play it on occasion, but not near enough, in my opinion. I agree that they seem much younger in the VLogs. They absolutely transform when they get on the stage.
Dany’s passion as she completely immerses herself into every song is something I think she does better than any frontwoman in Rock today. You’ll never catch her mailing in a performance.
I love the variety The Warning provides. The punk sound of this song is certainly different and I love it. Ale is the foundation upon which this band builds their magic.

they did try to remove the "hey! hey! hey!" parts but they kept saying them so put them back in...
did you notice the screen behind Pau right after the scream? Death reaching its skeletal hand out like it was going to grab Pau... then Death bursting into flames... great visuals!

It’s funny (amazing?) how they all seem younger -even now- in their vlogs and interviews than they do when they’re on stage. They transform from fun girls/sisters into Absolute Immortal Rock Goddesses once they step on a stage

A pop punk gem they unfortunately have mostly dropped from their live shows. I would very much welcome a comeback of the song. And it's definitely a crowd pleaser. Not that they are lacking in this department, but still ...
I love this song. I wish they would do it more. The big scream is Dany. She went into a dark room and let rip. Pau said she and ale were freaked out.
Pau, in particular, has said that she doesn't like horror movies. She played the game 'Little Nightmares' and screamed pretty much the whole way through the game. Of course, Dany slapping the wall behind her and scaring the crap out of her didn't help! 😄😄
Those game videos crack me up. Having a bad day? I just watch their offstage videos. They are a real 'pick me up'!!
Siblings, amirite? Most annoyed I've ever seen them get in any video was when Dany was beating Pau and Ale in Mario Kart, lol. 🤣

The Queen has admitted what she has become and everything she has done. Per vlog #26, the girls say that the Queen is mocking those that are trying to capture her. In the previous song, the evil side said that she didn’t deserve the throne. Here the girl says that she will sit on her throne. She is claiming the throne and embracing her evil self - joyously embracing it. It seems that she commits other acts of violence here. She says the knife in her hands will not stop.
I may be mistaken, but from what I remember, this show was to launch the album, so they are playing the songs live in front of an actual audience for the first time.
The VLOGs were around the same time as the show, because VLOGs #23, 25 & 26 were released publicly and VLOG #24 is where they talk about the Lunario show, but unfortunately it was never released publicly.
To me the fact that they sing P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C. instead of the word psychotic and the counts of 1, 2, 3 makes me think of cheerleader chants.
Also was wishing that you would react to the VLOGs on your channel, as I was curious to get your take on them.
Mike, not sure if you know or not, but Pau has been seen numerous times wearing a Misfits shirt during interviews (specifically the great interview they gave with Allison Hagendorf)
I was waiting to see your reaction to this cheerleader punk classic. Since I found The Warning, I have thought that they sit in this rock space between hard, metal, punk, indie. They grab from a lot of different places to make what sounds like The Warning.
She just wore that shirt at the Chilé performance
I think they seem older in this because they are just perfectionist and want to give the best performance they can. Where as in the vlogs thats them in familiar space being teen girls talking about what they love.

I don’t know if you realize this or not but Ale is only 13 years old at this concert, if my calculation is correct. Many take those performances back then for granted.
I did not until finishing the album and watching the final chapter VLOG where they mentioned Lunario was before the VLOGs. I knew she was that young when writing and recording but had been under the assumption that Lunariowas a year or two after the VLOGs until then.
@@MikeReichert Lunario was presentation of chapter 4. Dany 18, Paulina 16 and Alejandra 13 (almost 14 because the concert was Octiber/November and her birthday is in December)

Hi Mike..the upside down Mic.. I've been thinking about that and I think she finds it easier to take out and return the Mic to stand when she's performing and she's got her guitar around her neck...if you watch her she does the move real smooth...also Pau "multitasking" when you watch Kool Aid Kids live at the Met. In the beginning you get a good look at the kit from behind. She has all kinds of groovy stuff going on. She controls alot of what's going on..🤟🎶☮️
Yes Pau's multitasking! I sent Mike info on a video he should watch called "The Warning Pau Day Rig Rundown" She first explains the Laptop and how she controls the backing tracks and how she even controls the back screen also. After that she talks about her drums, cymbals and sticks. As if playing the drums and singing wasn't enough!

This is basically a high school age band here with their little sister from middle school on bass. Remarkable.
When I first heard this song, my eyebrows raised and at that moment I realized how truly versatile a band they were. While all through my early teens I was listening to radio rock in the 70's and started my classic rock record collection and then there was a time I started hearing an underground genre of punk sneak in to grab my attention. This brought me back to those times - the way the girls started out the album with rock/hard rock and then BAM! - punk in your face!
I punk cheerleader feel of this song, they truly have no issue mixing genres and are not scared to have many different styles on the same album!
As myself and others have said in the past: punk cheerleader song.

You can really see Pau is at the end of her rope here; she's obviously trying to catch as much of her breath as she can because she is soon up as lead... it's interesting to compare between then and now, after several years of deliberately working out. As evidenced by last year's Teatro Met concert, the altitude no longer seems to affect them nearly as much.
(Also, I always wondered if _"4,5,6 you have no idea what comes after this"_ came from legit not being able to figure out a next line that worked... 😋)
Another more punkish-feeling song was their first video "XXI Century Blood". I love both the song on its own and the video for its thought-provoking imagery (and Dany's sunset guitar solo 🤩).
Hi Mike, I'm really enjoying your reactions to The Warning!! Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you miss Hunter? It's song 11 and P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C is song 12 on Queen of the Murder Scene. I think you'll really enjoy Hunter.

Mike - The two VLOGS you listened to were done in the months before this show, which was November, 2018. The last VLOG (the one you haven't listened to) was done after the show in December.
