I like how Rapture goes from the most gloomy sounding one to the most threatening. Honestly, with how unforgiving most of the levels in Dark Rapture are, it's very fitting. My other favourite is The End. It sounds so desolate and lonely, which is very fitting of course. I also honestly always wished the chapter itself was longer; maybe 10 levels instead of 5.

Its weird, and yet fascinating that the compossers of the music in this game made this world themes sound very awesome together besides being totally separated zones, they sure made an awesome job, and the clean cuts in this video make all of them sound like as one, and it's a fricking banger all the songs be together like this

There's something really satisfying about hearing the nice light world verse and the pure angst scratchy dark version back to back. It's so guttural, it scratches an itch for musical aggression. The conclusion with Cotton Alley is funny because it sounds like a big climactic resolution, when the game doesn't even have much stakes at all. The soundtrack is the best quality of this whole game.
The Rapture has to be my favorite. The massive crumbling buildings, that piano. The atmosphere is unbeaten. Especially if you pay attention to the actually level backgrounds. 5-1 is very close up, and 5-20's background is very far away, meaning that meat boy is moving away from the epicenter of the blast, or the city in general.
I love the end chapters, Light amde you rrealise that now enemy have funny new hats, and lazer funs instead of slingshots Dark mode made you realise why we have no recording of Tarnished Sword, becuase of the goddamn fucking shitty unblanced fucking crappy difficulty of 3s X-TREME (pluz zipbomb and subsapce getting speed boost while allies getting blinded) game : the battel bricks, aka a the battle cats-inspired game, but actaully painful

Also I love the timing when you swap over to the dark world themes, that would be something I’d probably do if I were to make a video like this, it’s really smooth.

You're right! This from the soundtrack that released with the game's launch in 2010 (Xbox 360, PS3 later etc), composed by Danny Baranowsky. Any version of the game that released after 2015 (PS4/Xbox1 etc) has a new soundtrack composed by Ridiculon + other guest artists. So unless you're on an older gen console or Steam where you can toggle between the two, you don't get to hear these :
Fun fact: The Forest's Dark World map music is the only one that has a unique beat. All others follow a pattern that isn't present in the afformentioned chapter's Dark World variation.

I remember when I first got to hospital the first thought that came to mind while listening to the map theme was “Holy shit! This is good!” I wasn’t really a fan of the forest themes but everything past hospital was just 10/10
The Ridiculon songs also are so much good in my opnion, i really like the Hell theme, the Forest and the Hospital theme from him, but Danny has the Lil Slugger theme and this is the best song of the entire game!

Salt factory is the most nostalgic to me because of how much of a difficulty spike it is. It’s way harder than Hospital and it only gets worse from there! Super meat boy was my very first Xbox live purchase and it’s still amazing to this day, if only Super Meat Boy: Forever captured the same tone
