I love how Norm carries himself like an old grandpa in relation to Seinfeld, even though Seinfeld is 5 years older than him.
Dylan Shackleton just as he likes to play dumb, he also plays old.
Haha! Good point. He definitely a deeply closeted old chunk of coal. One of a kind..
This is probably going to be an unpopular comment but I feel like Norm is by far alot funnier. I feel like that because partly Norm is so original.
@Mike Watkins I'm baked what can I say...
@Mike Watkins and I said unpopular not infuriating lol
"Son of a gun, that's hotter than a two dollar pistol. Man alive!"
I love that he doesn't have to work blue. Just like my favorite comedian Bill Cosby.
K C no it doesn’t sum up his work. What he said there was just a quick reaction comment.
K C Jesus man just go watch somebody else nobody’s forcing you to like norm if you don’t like him that’s cool but go watch people you like instead of hating on someone who is a well established comedian and in a comment section filled with people who appreciate his work. Idk what norms done do to you for you to hate him so much lol but it’s wild that you go out of your way to watch a video of someone you dislike so much and leave comments talking trash about them when they’re never gonna see it
El Yucateco aint no joke. So many people pour it on like it's a normal vinegar based hot sauce without trying it first. On a whole burrito I put 5 drops and it's still a little too spicy.
@@Brute6TheBear Not only well established, but his favorite comedians love Norm. No doubt about it.
"She was a good girl, mommy's apple pie, the fourth of July SHE WAS A HOOKER!!!"
Crocker was too green to see it
The apple of her mother’s eye
She was a HOOKA!
“Yeah, got that lollipop thing going”
I thought she was a WHOO-UHHR!!!
“Agree to disagree, I guess…”
Norm is a genius.
islanti Seinfeld’s kids are not adopted wtf are you talking about
@@AidanCulverREAL We'll have to agree to disagree, I guess..
Is he good at math????
islanti I don’t think they are adopted. Are they?
No, I don't agree to disagree. That would mean you made sense and had some valid points.
to be fair, jerry totally gives off that “no kids” type of vibe
better than people whose entire personality and sense of worth is built on the fact they have kids. thats not healthy.
He does
He has that uncle who won't let you hear his model car collection type of vibe. Except his car collection is real.
He has that "had a 17 year old girlfriend when he was nearly 40" vibe
@Paul WTfunny how its the poors who actually reproduce the most
NORM: “You don’t have children.”
JERRY: “I have three!”
NORM: “Well, I guess we have to agree to disagree.”
Rufus Slothkowski 😂🤣😂😂
too funny
Wow, thanks for pointing that out.
"WHaT"
I will not agree to disagree, I'll disagree.
"Grandma, where'd you get that?" "The wind" "So, she's not doing heroine."
norm is amazing
Heroine is a female hero.
@@OMGWTFLOLSMH You're a female heroine!
Norm has a way of telling a joke that will entertain both normal people (the wind) and those drowned in irony like comics(the heroin)
Heroween
OMGWTFLOL She would be a heroine for doing heroin at that age.
I can't believe Norm is gone. He was honestly the funniest man alive. And he did these last 9 years knowing he had cancer, and still being hilarious! What a legend of funny.
Now please excuse me while I go on a 14 hour Norm youtube binge.
On a Norm binge as well. Guy was aces.
Rewatching all his weekend update skits
Well, at least it ended in a draw 😢
This is more proof Jerry's show is cursed. The body count is at least 5 now and the show hasn't even been on for too long. Maybe that's why Jerry doesn't want to do it anymore.
That's a quality binge. None better.
That pause and then "You have three daughters" cracks me up so much as if set up for a a farmer and his 3 daughters joke 😂
Brilliant
Norm is so good on his toes and makes it look effortless. The "I don't care" attitude with the feigned ignorance is the perfect recipe. Never let anyone know you're the smartest one in the room.
Nailed it
The ol' Ben Franklin trick
Looking stupider than they are isn't so easy for some people.
Only the stupidest people think they're the smartest one in the room. It like a natural law.
@@carlodave9 that was basically Socrates' general philosophy. The only thing I know is that I know nothing.
Seinfeld: "I have a daughter and two sons"
Norm: "what?!?!"
I think this is actually the tightest most funny little bit I have heard in my life and it was all improvised:
[norm pouring hot sauce]
“Do you like hot sauce?”
“Oh no I hate it...but you’ve got to try new things in life”
“No you don’t!”
“Ehh you’re right”
While still pouring hot sauce on it XD
It just so perfectly encapsulates what makes him who he is in just 4 lines of dialogue.
yes absolutely brilliant.
No hesitation is the key here
Dude he looked so good that you couldn't tell he was fighting with cancer for the past 9 years. Add to that his lighthearted attitude and being happy, no one could have guessed that.
I remember watching him in the "I'm not Norm" and latest norm macdonald live videos and thinking, this guy looks amazing for his age. Which he did.
RIP Norm... You brought laughter to a lot of people and that too with pure jokes and "stories".
idk how but he always manages to squeeze in that second punchline that just kills...like in the grandma joke "THE WIND!" is obviously the punchline but then I laugh harder at "So she's not doing heroin"
You can see how flattered Jerry is at the moment when Norm remembers and laughs at one one Jerry's early stand-up jokes. You know, with the last few years of his life Norm really went around appreciating those he felt worthy of his appreciation what with things like his Chappelle photo, his Letterman appearance and stuff like this. He may have been an old chunk of coal but he had the heart of a diamond.
I can’t think of any other of the great comedians who clearly loves to laugh as much as Jerry Seinfeld. It’s so good to watch him enjoying other people’s jokes that it almost makes everything that little bit funnier.
You know someone is truly confident in themselves when they give a laugh just as readily as they try to get one. Insecure funny people don’t laugh like that for other funny people
Love how he remembered Jerry’s obscure joke but had no clue about his personal life. We should all strive to achieve that level of “Normalcy.”
Agree! Norm truly didn't care what a person did outside of comedy.
HAAAA NORMalcy ........I see what u did there
@@rockking1168 Nothing is more funny than pointing out and really highlighting the joke. Keep it up!
@@DPMusicStudio some say im doing Gods work.....dont not worry child the highlighting shall continue
Saw an little article about norm that featured his niece and she explicitly said that norm was in a lot of pain for this but pushed through. I love the man and he’s given us so much without us being able to thank him and show our love.
Looking at it now, you can tell he's in pain by how he's sitting, and by how soft his voice is.
RIP to a legend. One of the funniest people to ever live.
Norm's eyes are so blue. Hypnotic...
I’m so late to Norm. I just recently started watch his stand up and interviews and he is the best to ever do it.. I used to think Dave was the best but the crown definitely goes to Norm I can watch him for hours
Welcome to the cult. Glad to have you! 😊
Ranee Blanda glad to be here lol
Bro im so happy for you! You'll have a good time for weeks or years.
Fueled By Plants have you ever seen Screwed? It's starring Norm Macdonald Dave Chapelle and Danny Devito. Came out like 2000. It did absolutely horrible with critics and at the box office but I remember thinking it was hilarious when I was like 13. I'd love to watch it again if I ever find it. It was kind of a sandler-esque 90s movie, doesn't necessarily capture norm and daves brilliance, but check it out.
@@md.s2536 it still holds up
wow. The way he delivers the line, "The wind!" His timing is impeccable! That's what drove Seinfeld to laughter - it was the punchline, "The Wind," but ONLY because of the way Norm hammered him with it: angle, velocity, impact force, etc. That is some O.G. comedic timing right there.
Rest In Peace norm you beautiful bastard
Good thing it wasn't O.J. comedic timing, if that were the case Norm would've gotten away with murder.
Exactly!
Some comedians are great with words but they miss the subtle elements which Norm did so well.
The timing was perfect, a master class in comedic timing, but let's give some credit to the set up, that is to hear the topic of conversation, then to deliver the set up, and then the punch line, it is the whole package that is impressive.
Norm's sauce appeared hot...both in appearance, and demeanor.
"Son of a gun! That's hotter than a two dollar pistol! Man alive!" is what I will now say every time I eat hot sauce.
Or colder than a vampires demeanor .. that covers everything
Gotta go back to revisit this episode, it was great.
Rest in peace Norm McDonald!
Say what you will about Jerry’s children, but at least they aren’t hypocrites
Bring back Norm MacDonald has a show for season 2
T V Gerry didn,t have any kids. Crazy neighbour, but no kids
@@giraffesareselfish9563 OUCH !!!
Hypocrisy!!!!
Good, because the worst part is the hypocrisy!
Jesus, I have never said this...... Thank god for UA-cam, his memory will live on, to the masses, forever. Even the generations that didn't grow up with him will, somehow, someway, stumble across this diamond, and understand what comedy truly is. It's kinda weird to miss someone you never met, but I miss Norm.
Even the “that’s awesome” at 1:27 has me in stitches lmao
Jerry’s got to have Norm on again. Funniest man to ever live
Funniest "Man Alive "
:(
@@uberpekes what isn’t funny?
@@breandanminogue9946 and I’m well aware that he battled his cancer to a draw
@@breandanminogue9946 Norm would hate you for saying stuff like that. If anyone could see the humor in death it was Norm.
If you can't love Norm then something is wrong...odd and awesome!
RIP LEGNED
Honestly though, I love how there are so many people out there who just don't get him at all.. it just makes him that much funnier. Like, when he's purposely flopping he's going all kamikaze on the audience.. confusing hell of them and making them feel all awkward as hell. I mean, yeah I also completely agree with you I don't get how people could possibly not love him.. but yeah. Dude was THE comedian's comedian and an absolute legend.
Oh I disagree. Norm is on another level. Most people are not smart enough to get his subtle humor. Thats why comedians love him.
"That's hotter than a two dollar pistol!" LOL
Should have seen it coming! Still gave me a grin..
My new fav thing is opening YT to find these little gems with Norm.
RIP Norm. You're a legend.

Well in Norm's defense: I, for one, always saw Jerry as somone who doesn't own a doghouse
Must be one of those gays
@@desmondciauri4616 Or so the germans would have you believe.
You can judge someone's funniness by the honesty in Jerry's laughter... The comedy world will miss you, Norm!
“We can agree to disagree” about whether or not Jerry has kids 😂 lmao so silly
I laugh harder and think deeper listening to Norm have a casual conversation than I do watching another comedian's stand up special they repeated countless times for years in front of audiences to iron out the kinks and make it as perfect as they possibly can.
What about MANSLAUGHTER? It's less than Murder, but sounds WAY worse...
Brian Regan had a great bit on manslaughter.
Manslaughter? You mean man’s laughter?! As the killer laughs his way out of the court, after getting 2 years for a premeditated murder.
@@andrewchevrier No, they're fine men...
@@SlyMaelstrom one episode of seinfeld also had the bit. "the slaughter of a man!"
Had no idea what a treasure Norm was until recently. How I missed that thru the last 30 years is ridiculous. I knew he was funny and I enjoyed weekend update in my 20's, but he was actually next level. He was his own thing. He had integrity and values he held close. What a loss!
I love the quickness of “yeah you’re right”
1:40 that “HWAAT” kills me everytime.
I can’t imagine what could’ve come out of them to writing anything together. Would’ve been magic. Love you Norm. Thank you for everything.
Would've been impossible.. Norm plays dumb too much! He'd have everybody else do all the work!
@1:55 always makes me laugh: “That’s hotter than a $2 pistol!” Hahahaha
"Well, we can agree to disagree..." Norm to Jerry about Jerry having children...OMG LOL
I never appreciated him as much when he was alive as I have in the last week listening to so many of his bits on UA-cam. I have been laughing nonstop. He was a true genius, way smarter and more introspective than I gave him credit for. I guess maybe I was one of those who was jaded by his sometimes overdone and over-the-top Weekend Update segments. So sorry that I feel for two decades I missed out on his brilliant comedy. He was truly a comic virtuoso and one of the greatest of all time. RIP.
The cool thing you'll notice is that you can go down the same Norm rabbit hole every year and it'll all be just as funny.
Same here. Some artists aren't immediately captivating and require more attention. Can't just give them 30 seconds of half-attention and then get bored, you have to really give them your full focus. Now that I'm doing that with Norm, I see what I missed. Luckily it's all still here.
@@carlodave9 I do it every week lol; everything he does from his voice to his facial expressions to his body language to the delivery and more is pure comedy genius. We lost a truly gifted comedian but I'm grateful I'll be able to continue laughing for many years to come. RIP Norm, you weren't an old chunk of coal like you would have us believe, you were a flawless diamond
RIP Norm. 🕊 You’re the greatest
“Where’d you get that bruise?”
“The wind.”
Little known fact Norms grandpa is named Windell
The part of that joke (the way Norm delivers it) that’s underrated, is that he proceeds to saying what didn’t really need to be said: “…so she’s not doing heroin.” Him belabouring the point squeezes that much more out of it.
Two absolute masters of comedy being hilarious lol
I love listening to comedians thought processes. The way their brains work is just so different from the rest of us.
2 naturally wholesome people to watch is just a goldmine of unconscious smiling
The execution of the "you don't have a child" joke was so perfect
Norm has aged nicely into his jokes...
I think on this comment a Lot whenever a rewatch Norm.
I know Norm is one of the people who makes Seinfeld laugh the most.
The "manslaughter" joke had me dying because it's so true
Patton Oswalt thinks the worst thing is the breaking and entering
2 of the best comedians ever
Norm - "Grandma, where'd you get that ENORMOUS BRUISE?!" Grandma- "The wind!" HYSTERICAL!!!!
I understand that joke so well now.....
There's nothing better than comedians making each other laugh. It's how you know how good they are.
I love the way Norm says, “Dogs can’t vote. That’s awesome!”
That was a great moment.
They're like the Yin and Yang of comedy. They complement each other.
First fifteen seconds:
"OK, I'm gonna try this"
"You like hot sauce?"
"Oh I hate it! But you gotta try new things in life"
"No you don't!"
"Yeah you're right!!"
Genius.
just finding out about norm through dave chapelle... and this made me lmao
High level comedy two of the smartest comedians
"What about manslaughter? Less than murder, but sounds way worse."
jerry's intonation when he says "that doorknob is broken" makes it twice as funny
“Who’s gonna pay for that”
You know he's good when easily makes other comedians laugh
And Seinfeld doesn’t pity laugh, so it’s real
@@kalebpost20 yes he does, all throughout the series.
Norm and I were classmates at The University of Science near Queensboro Bridge
I hope you didn't go under the Brooklyn Bridge at any point during the duration of your studies
Perhaps you meant the Queensboro Bridge?
@la patria o la tumba It is the Queensboro Bridge. Thanks for the "helpful" suggestion though.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queensboro_Bridge
@la patria o la tumba It is still the Queensboro Bridge. Not sorry.
@viraj dobriyal do you remember anything about him?
Norm’s unaired 9/11 joke is still one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.
Norm's brother is still in Canada.
1:30 Just a standard conversation between two straight men who have known eachother for decades
Norms "not liking hot sauce" was all a build up to, "Son of a gun, that's hotter than a $2 pistol."
Norm was a supreme connoisseur of folsky idioms.
Norm saying " what " is the best thing ever
Rest In Peace Norm. You will always be one of the greatest to ever do stand up for me. 💔
Did he die?
Norm: "Attempted murder and murder are the same thing"
Seinfeld: "Is a different skill level"
Lol!
I love how Norm embraces dad jokes to the extent that they become funny
He had a few of his own kid that were too.
Continuing my near 10 year search for a single example of Seinfeld being funny when he's the sole contributor to his material
Norm: you gotta try new things
Jerry: No you dont!
Norm: you're right.
Knowing now what we know, you can definitely tell he was sick in these videos...battling for his life, yet he never let his struggle be known publicly. He didn't want people to react differently while doing his act. True grace and mad respect..
His cancer had ups and downs, got worse at the end of course. His brother had hoped for a remission but cancer has it's own last word.
Probably my two favorite comedians! Leave it to Seinfeld to actually "GET" Norm. They are both a comedian's comedian.
"It was the wind! So she is not doing heroin" 😂😂😂 Genius!

Don't also forget: she was a good girl, mama's apple pie, the fourth of July--SHE WAS A HOOKER
he killed Jerry with the unexpected "the wind" joke.
This is the genius of Norm. He would take you to places where you were immediately uncomfortable (i.e. trying heroin) and leave you bursting out loud (the wind).
Not only did you enter, you broke something! who's gonna pay for that?! - this is very Jerry
Norm knew very well that Jerry had kids!
He’s just really good at pretending not to know.

The point IS the joke.
K C all you’ve done in the comment section is talk shit about norm, why would you even watch the video if you hate half of the people in it?
RIP NORM! Legend!
Three minutes of Norm Macdonald funnier as Jerry's whole career
Jerry is hysterical but not in the same way Norm was. Jerry is like Elvis. It's sexy pop comedy with little improvisation. Norm is like Bach playing the organ. It comes in every key and every time signature imaginable. Elvis was a great musician but Bach on the organ made other musicians cry in shame that they could never be that good.
RIP norm, never failed to crack me up. Surprisingly clever and quick witted
"Let's agree to disagree" LOL!!
Norm was such an under appreciated treasure.
Manslaughter…less than murder, but sounds WAAAYYYY worse…🤣👍
“I guess we can agree to disagree” lol
Norm brazenly stating that Jerry has no children cracks me up every time. It’s such an awkward interaction 😂
Noooo....I'd hoped to see the Kojak segment here. One of Norm's best. Cracked Jerry up.
