You wondered about Distinguished Conjurer. It's not a card designed for MH3 or a Draft archetype necessarily, it was printed in Jumpstart 2022, and it's printing in MH3 makes it Modern legal.

My first draft was G/W tokens with 4 Dog Umbra and 4 Fancypaws. 2-3, every game I lost a got stomped by Eldrazi. First game boardstalled until they were down to 5 cards in deck and then they burned me down from 20 with triggers from 2 Fleshrakers.
I don't think you need that many dog umbra in that deck, you wanna be aggro with combat trick. The 4 drop that gives mod creature trample is important too
@@o8240000 Half the time I used Umbra as a trick, attacking and negating a trade. Had no oozewags but I had the Etb Proliferate and two of the 3/1 that proliferated whenever a nontoken etb, as well as the support 2 flyer. Didnt matter. They always had massive Eldrazi, a surprising number with reach. They'd stall me out until I flooded and crush me. I managed to flood on 15 lands,, lol.
Love watching Numot get Slith in his opening hand multiple times, meanwhile I only saw it once in my opening hands despite running 3 of them
I wonder how the hand smoother deals with the DFC's. Specifically, if your two opening hands are 2 lands out of 7 vs 1 land and 3 DFCs, will the smoother choose the first one or the second?
I think they count as spells (they can be discarded by Toughseize for example)

At my local, there are two people that draft only green white, no matter the set. It's frustrating being on the same pod as them and you open bombs in those colours. The dogs in this set will be drafted high, I was destroyed by them at pre-release as my opponents all had three or more in there deck.
I think the mono coloured DFCs can totally 1 for 1 lands in deck building, since they can enter untapped.

Just 7-2 with a gw counter deck. T2 doggo, T3 rhino proliferate, op at 16. T4 horrific assault + fang of kolonia on dog, swing for 10+3 op scoop. This deck can be ridiculously explosive...

Fought against someone who had both and like 7 eldrazi tokens. I just shuffled up and went next, as i had already boardwiped him with my on and onyl wrath of the skys...
He pulled so much gas and top decks that comboed so well right at the perfect moment xD.
And i gotten 3 Lands in a row...

Just 7-0 my first draft with a Selesnya deck. 2 dogs with a 3rd in the board.
everyone laughs at the buzzards face and eyes on the Fowl Strike. What i wanna know is, why is the druid using both his wings AND a set of bladders filled like balloons to fly
I feel like green is rarely open for me because everyone wants to play eldrazi, but the energy decks have been performing insane for me. Such a great format so far
What’s wrong with Orim’s Chant?
I’ve played it in a couple of lower to the ground decks and it’s been great for stopping the opponent rebuilding / getting ahead on key turns. Am I missing something?
It's a win more card. You need to be ahead for it to really work good, they can still cast instants and abilities as well. It's a bad time walk which isn't trouble but it's like the 23rd card in your deck

I'm confused as to why not pick orim's chant first pack over an off-color card, isn't chant kind of crazy in an aggressive deck? 2 mana time stop seems amazing

“Pick an open lane instead of picking random strong cards” - immediately picks a random strong 2 drop instead of staying in his green modification lane
It's about *finding* the open lane. A strong 2 drop in a different color is more of a signal then trying to 'force' what I'm in during the first couple of picks
