Born in 1968, I can relate to EVERYTHING in this song. From Star Wars, Evil Keneviel, Stretch Armstrong, when Dallas was America's team. I can tell you exactly where I was when I heard the news about Elvis dying (and my Mom did cry), and where I was when I heard the news the Challenger exploded on Jan 28, 1986. This song is my childhood.
I don't remember Elvis dying, but I do remember Challenger. Then Oklahoma City, then the Towers... School for Challenger, at home for Oklahoma City, working for the Towers.

First time I heard this I got a tear in my eye. Born in 66. Teenager in the best decade of all time. Enjoyed the 60's, 70's and 80's music while a teenager. I know all what this song is about.
This song describes my whole life growing up in the 70's, 80's. I'm getting near 50 now and wish I could live all those years over again. I loved the Dallas Cowboys, had a stretch Armstrong, had a few bike crashes, still love Star Wars and I remember watching my mom cry when Elvis died. Same with the 80' s.....I remember all of it. From the Rubik's cube to the Challenger Explosion and my first car......A brand new black Pontiac Firebird. Good times.........👍

I turned 43 two weeks ago and remember when this song first came out. I wish I knew Mark Wills so I could thank him. I found myself this evening letting go of a very painful past couple of years regarding my elderly Parents while I go through their/my things. I've loved this song for a long time, but never found myself crying over it. In fact, I always laughed about it (in a good way). But tonight, and this week after some major transition in my life getting past a very very dark time in my life that has spanned several years with Alzheimer's and legal issues by people who need to just stay out of people's lives, I found myself reminiscing and this song really busted my emotions open unexpectedly. I don't cry. Really never have since I was a tiny kid. Always put on the straight face, but I lost it tonight. Thanks @MarkWills for writing/producing/performing this song!
Tomorrow, I turn 50. Although I was born in 64, I was raised in the 70's and 80's. I have never been one to boo-hoo about time gone by, growing up in my family wasn't anything I've missed. But I now realize how very much I miss my friends. Hanging out with them is what saved my life. I do miss the 70's, and the 80's: more than I ever knew.
I was born in 1968 and got to see it all! Now I'm 56 and life was great! Got to see B&W TV, eight track cassettes, tapes, CDs, DVDs, Blockbuster Video, Computers, Internet, Peer2Peer File-sharing, got my B.Ed, & M.Ed. degrees, got & survived Covid19, Gulf War, and 9/11.
I was born in 86' so some of these references resonate with me. Played pacman at the arcade. I had a Stretch Armstrong. Had rubix cube. Watched MTV. Went to the skating rink. Miss those so-called simpler times when my parents would just drop me and my brother at the arcade without any concern. Going to the movies every Christmas Eve as a family. Feels like a lifetime ago.
This video was shot at the drive in at my home town of Franklin Ky. they tore it down earlier this year! I heard they where gunna put in apartments! So sad, lots of memories of this place!
Late 60s baby here. This song brings back so many good memories. A real trip down memory lane. It makes me think of all the other things I grew up with too.
I was born in 1970 and this song brings so many memories. Getting up early on saturday mornings and watching all the great cartoons and spending the evenings playing in the woods and fields around our farm. Like the song says i would not trade those days for anything.
Have loved this song since it came out, having been born in 1967 totally my life in a song!!! Remember the neighbor in our apartment crying when Elvis died (she was a fanatic). And was standing in the middle of Main Street in Leesburg, FL when the shuttle went up, had the tv blasting so I could hear the countdown and when it exploded I freaked as I knew it was not to do that. Very impactful song for sure. The kids today just wouldn't understand.
This song just popped up , I am in my car crying and thinking just how wonderful it was and understanding everything in this song . Born in 71 , I wouldn’t change a damn thing about my life from back then
I remember those days well! Doesn't seem that long ago! This song brings tears to my eyes just listening to the lyrics. I miss those days! Wish I could go back!
I was born in April 1972 and this song describes my whole life even down to the black Trans-Am. Great memories I wish I could live all over again. Sure do miss a lot of my friends I grew up with. Some who moved away, some I just don't see anymore and a few that have passed away. 😕
I'm not a country music guy but there is something about this song. It brings me right back to my childhood. So many memories came flooding back watching this. Thanks Mark Wills for putting a smile in my heart.
This song is so true i had a black trans am and spent every weekend at roller rink i had a stretch arm strong and it brings me back .was nothing better 80s forever . will never outgrow my youth im 54 and listen to 80s music everyday .im stuck .
In 1980 I was a 13 year old eighth grader. 3650 days later, as the decade dwindled to a close, I had just secured my first job post college graduation, sporting my new (Cheesy) 1989 Candy Apple Red Camaro RS with matching mag wheels, had an apartment, a pretty college sweetheart and a slew of college buddies. So my experience living the 80's have defined who I am. In 2003, I was going through a sudden and unexpected divorce when this song popped on my car radio on night while driving home after trying to drown my sorrows at a local joint. Three lines in to the tune I began to cry so hard, that I had to pull over to the shoulder of the road. This song, that for most people of my generation should have been one of the happiest, left me- that night- so pathetically lonely and so distant from those happy times, then just a few years back. Now, all these years later, I feel a bit silly about crying to such a great but cheesy song. I guess that country music for ya.
Love this song. I remember every thing he sang in this song. Those were the good ol days. I have some great childhood memories from the 70's. The 80's are some of the best times for me. I was born in 1968 and I turned 49 on August 30th. This song and video brings back some very special memories for me. I have some very special memories from the 70's as a little girl watching reruns of The Partridge Family and thinking David Cassidy was really cute, (and I'm still a fan!) watching The Brady Bunch, I Dream Of Jeannie, Gilligan's Island, Love, American Style, and other shows from the 60's and 70's. I also had crushes on Barry Williams, Henry Winkler, and John Travolta. In the 80's when I was a teenager, I developed a huge crush on Bruce Boxleitner when he was on a show called, Scarecrow and Mrs. King. I also have fond memories of the clothing styles, hairstyles, films, and music of the 70's and 80's. In the 80's, I became a big fan of country music. It just appealed to me more than the rock music from that decade. Like this song says, "I wouldn't trade those days for nothing." I miss the 70's and 80's.

I was born in April that year. Almost 4 months to the day. The 29th.
Showed this video to my parents, never saw them smile so much remembering how they grew up!
Born in 1966 lyv this Cowboy music there nothing better then playing all my favorite never gets old playing them ever day always This Little Country Cowgirl thank u cowboy ❤❤❤❤❤
I will never understand how this guy wasnt more popular he has a better voice than most of todays “country” artists
I’m 56 and this hits hard. Wow. Great song
God Bless you
Same
Tomorrow, I turn 50. Although I was born in 64, I was raised in the 70's and 80's. I have never been one to boo-hoo about time gone by, growing up in my family wasn't anything I've missed. But I now realize how very much I miss my friends. Hanging out with them is what saved my life. I do miss the 70's, and the 80's: more than I ever knew.
god bless your soul
i was born in Nov 1971 ...the 70s and 80s was the best time to grow up ....that comment was from my uncle lol I’m only 30
Also the 90s
Was born in 1969.... grew up during this time. Best time ever!!
Nov 1971 as well
2000 here. Still adore this song
I was born in 71 also the 80's we're the best time ever
I was born in 1968 and got to see it all! Now I'm 56 and life was great! Got to see B&W TV, eight track cassettes, tapes, CDs, DVDs, Blockbuster Video, Computers, Internet, Peer2Peer File-sharing, got my B.Ed, & M.Ed. degrees, got & survived Covid19, Gulf War, and 9/11.
History is something to be held on to. It teaches us to be strong and keeps us grounded!
The 70's and 80's were the absolute best!
I met Mark Wills, he's an awesome person and I love his songs!!!
Hello Michele
Yeah me too
Definitely took the 80s for granted. Back when country was actually country
I lived those days. I wouldn’t change them for nothing.
Hello Kathy, how are you doing?
Life was so much simpler back then. Kids had respect for their elders and neighbors were best friends. Those days were the best!!!
Mark Wills is a great singer I wish he could come out with more music
I was born in 1969. Each detail of the song brings back so many memories! Love it!
I love this song! I grew up in the 70s & 80s and I wouldn't trade those days for nothing either!
Yep
Does anyone else have flashbacks that are just totally linked to the nostalgic country songs from 1995-2004
I thought I was the only one
But why ‘04 just wondering?
I would love to see an update redo for 90s 00s 10s. Kinda like some group did of we didn't start the fire
My childhood and adolescence perfectly in this one song!
Thanks for the memories Mark!
Hello friend
I was born in 86' so some of these references resonate with me. Played pacman at the arcade. I had a Stretch Armstrong. Had rubix cube. Watched MTV. Went to the skating rink. Miss those so-called simpler times when my parents would just drop me and my brother at the arcade without any concern. Going to the movies every Christmas Eve as a family. Feels like a lifetime ago.
I was born in 86' as well. I miss the simpler times as well
Its a shame they don't make music like this anymore
They can’t. The new generation is offended by everything. I mean why would someone get offended by things like syrup. Lol
@@lilbuni2004 Lol
I so fully agree, and i don't even know, any of the newer singers now!
@@MARYGAIL1000 me either!
We haven't had many years/decades worth bragging about lately.
I was born in 1951 and love this song
Simply a good ole’ song.. from a city slicker
I was born in 2002 but this gives me a sense of anemoia, which is nostalgia for a time you’ve never known
Hello Ann 👋 how are you ??
I was born in 1973 great memories thanks for sharing
Born March 3rd, 1970. Feeling every word of this song.
We will never get those days back.
cance7984 So true
Sucks but true
Youre just being honest
I didn't grow up in the 90s but this song still kind of gets to me. There's something vulnerable about realizing how time keeps us moving.
This song just popped up , I am in my car crying and thinking just how wonderful it was and understanding everything in this song . Born in 71 , I wouldn’t change a damn thing about my life from back then
Man, all the feels.
I remember those days well! Doesn't seem that long ago! This song brings tears to my eyes just listening to the lyrics. I miss those days! Wish I could go back!
They need to bring this music back
I remember those days. wish they were still here . anyone else?
Oh, hell yeah. Back then nobody cared about being politically correct
Me too
I was born in April 1972 and this song describes my whole life even down to the black Trans-Am. Great memories I wish I could live all over again. Sure do miss a lot of my friends I grew up with. Some who moved away, some I just don't see anymore and a few that have passed away. 😕
This brings back so many memories I was a teenager in the 70' what a great time to live in
This song is why I started listening to country music!
I was born in 68 and I love this song because I remember the time when I grew up
I'm not a country music guy but there is something about this song.
The world now is in a great big mess. Seems to get worse. Thankful for this video to bring back those good ol memories. Thanks Cowgirl Cindy!

I was born in August 1972. Totally agree with you. The '80's were the best!

August 75 need to make a time machine and go back when people wanted to live not whatever we do now
Born in 71...yep...70s were nice...80s were the shiiiittt.....90's were pretty good... starting in 2000 the liberal democrats and hollywood destroyed America....
Born in 75, this brings back memories of being a kid in the 80s. Man do I miss those days, just running a playing and not a care in the world, things were a lot simpler back then.
Thank you for filming at our drive inn. It's gone now, but everyone sees it
love this song a lot, & I was born in 1965....
Hey carissa, you got a lovely smile.
My time! I was 9 years old in 1978. Can't imagine a better childhood than the 70s and 80s.
This song makes me feel happy and sad at the same time. Brings back the memories of my childhood.
The glory days of America
That's my uncle Tommy in the black shirt on the far right behind Mark Wills. Met Mark Wills in person and he seemed like a humble man. Still inlove with this song and Marks voice!
I was born in 1973 every single thing he said I can relate to!! Love your face 😍

Hello Theresa
Love this song, it brings back so many memories. I had just about all of the toys it shows in the video. Lol I saw Mark last year, he's a real class act. He sings real country music.
Just heard this song for the first time. What a piece. Gives me optimism.
Stay strong everyone. Better days are coming.
Sending love from the UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Who in the hell are you sending love to ? America is just fine despite what the small intense minority says on tv. Yeeee haaaawww
Born in 1991. Got to experience sp much of both 80s and 90s culture and I am quite grateful for it.
This describes the 1970's and 1980's . This brings back memories. Great song I love his music always have.
HeatherinOK H that's kinda the point of the song...
Just saw him at the Grand ole opry. Fantastic. He played this one.
Thank you so much Mark for chronicling my life in a video. I'm 48 years old now and you couldn't have said it any better. Wish more songs today could connect with people like you do.
General Lee and the Smokey and the Bandit Trans-Am. Sweet.
That's Dukes of Hazard
That’s my favorite part of the whole video. Is getting to see them
Smokey And The Bandit is an awesome movie and the Dukes Of Hazard is a bad to the bone tv show and i kinda like the Dukes Of Hazard movie as well.
I’m only 14 and this is the sickest thing ever
@@tannerlittle9769 I’m 16 and I love this video and song
