    The U shape is way better than the V shape. This is just what i need to fix the long part of hair that the unicorn ponytail gave me. I will give this technique a try.

    Thank you so much! This was my first time cutting my own hair and my curls look SO much healthier. I have a pretty unsteady hand and I was still able to get a clean line "U" in the back. I'll never pay to get my hair cut again. You rock!!! 💜

    Doing this right now. I currently hate my hair (everything in life really) and I want to love it again so hopefully this will bring back some spark to get me going and happier. I definitely need to get rid of my dead ends too though. Thank you so much because no one else shows how to make a U if it is something you also want. I’ve done the V before but wanna do the U this time. You are very detailed as well so that also helps and this is so simple ❤❤❤

    UA-cam really needs to add a 'love' button. Your tutorial is excellent! I've been doing the double unicorn cut and I have always hated the 'v' shape....I went to a hairstylist to shape it better and she did a blunt cut and it is completely uneven and longer on one side than the other. Thanks to you I know I can now fix it!!! Thank you again - you and your hair are beautiful!

    Great video! A step further would be to do a low ponytail at the back and pull it right down your back, tucking your chin under, then cut about half an inch off the end. This cuts off the very tip (which is probably more noticeable with straighter hair) just to make the shape even more rounded. Have you seen Feye's Method online? She describes that process really well with detail such as whether you tuck your chin or not in order to get the result you want.

      @@Marianellyy I'm glad you did. I started the cg method about a month ago and my frizzy, fuzzy wavy hair is actually curling again and it's tamed! I never wanted layers, because of the out of control hair, but I think with my contained curly waves, it might look a lot better. With your method, I think I can actually make this look decent, without my boyfriend having to fix it for me haha.

    Hey! Love the way your hair turned out :) I've tried cutting my own hair following your tutorial twice now and each time I feel like my ends don't blend in very well; the ends look straight and each strand just stands out and not in a good way. Is it something I'm doing wrong? Is there a way to get better ends?

    You have the most GORGEOUS shiny curls!!! I can't wait to try your technique on my 2a wavy hair, mine's thick but you've got me beat. If you can do this & it works, it will definitely work on my hair. I've been afraid to because my hair is so thick LOL... THANK you for this video

    Did you shape the bits around your face? they look quite a bit shorter than the rest of your hair and would expect they didn't make into the part of the unicorn-tail that got cut?

    Need clarification. So, this cut was only for the long layers in the back? Did you actually cut the face framing layers also? TIA.

    Can you PLEASE tell me the products (shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner) that you use on your hair? I went and had mine done a couple years ago and it got ruined. My hair used to be as curly as yours but is now half as curly. I am trying so many different things to try and fix it! Thank you! I would really appreciate any recommendations! Right now I’ve been using a mix between Shea moisture and Doves all natural hair care curly line. Thanks!!!

    If you combine this with cutting a smaller front section in a unicorn ponytail, you would have a U shaped back and more face framing layers.

    • @Marianellyy
      @Marianellyy  4 роки тому

      Do you mean like a double unicorn ?

    • @muskndusk
      @muskndusk 4 роки тому +1

      @@Marianellyy Yes, but sectioning the second ponytail from the tips of the ears to the place where you part your hair, or even further forward. Too far back and you'll cut a V again.

      I think I follow I have a video where I do a triple cut this one ua-cam.com/video/neH1IlGs5U8/v-deo.html this gave me the V shape you see in this video. I had it for a while I actually like the V shape, I just wanted a change 😊

    Pretty good. I'm constantly surprised when I meet curly girls and they say the spend $300 to $400 for a cut and highlights. That's crazy! I pay $200 but I only go every 3 months or 6 months, so three times a year. The reason I say surprised is because some of the girls live in the projects/public housing that has to be more than the monthly rent.
