We love our brothers back home! Unfortunately there are ignorant people everywhere. They will vanish after a while. 99% of the Jamaicans and descndnts believe that we must reunite asap.
Also, voodon is huge in jamaica, I think some people (in these types of vids) are chosen for dramatic effect ;)
I am glad you have spoken positive on this cos its surprising you know to see this coming from some number or section of the people. we will surely come together and do more
the Jamaican education system is bad on purpose, designed by slavers to destroy our identity and isolate us. All jamaicans must go through a HUGE struggle to find out who they really are at some point in their life. I like to think ignorant people just havent had their realisation yet. in the words of Bob - One love@@EkowSimpson. Keep up the good work
@HH-mb7nw dont forget that the many many many of us that are trying so hard to come home are also trying to escape the 5% of (white and black, depending on your location) people who think like this. its a mental disease that starts in school
She cant speek for the whole of Jamaica. And it Sound like she still brain washed with the bible. 💜
That is just illiteracy speaking. She should be ashamed of herself for speaking like that. Please do not judge us because most Jamaican do not
speak or do they believe that nonsense. One love🇯🇲
As an African born in the six region (Caribbean/Barbados ). Miss Trudy needs to stop putting our crazy people on social media..😂
Hahaha that’s true tho
All these UA-camrs except Wode Maya, African Tigress and Coco Boy love to show the worst parts of Jamaica like going to the ghettos and the markets to get content. They need to stop already. @@user-xr7vc2pp2w
I was going to say she met one of the "special" ones.
Just a correction Ekow, the lady didn't say alcohol. The Ms Trudy video mis translate. The lady said 'lick' meaning that Africans like to slap people. 'Box' means a slap across the face. I can assure you these ladies watch too many Nigerian movies that is why they are talking like this. Jamaica is arguable the most Afro centric nation outside of Africa. We know our roots and are proud of it. We love Africa!
Too many Nigerian movies.😂😂😂
As a Jamaican I don’t understand why everyone is giving that negative remark about Africans so much attention. If you listen to what she said, she said she watches the Nigerian movies and they do a lot of obeah (juju) and they take people’s men. When a person is illiterate there’s nothing in this world you can say to convince them that what they believe actually isn’t true. It doesn’t matter what race or culture you are, illiteracy is our own enemy and that is what that woman is. You spoke about the student who said she “didn’t” know about Africa but it seems she didn’t quite hear what Miss Trudy said clearly so she corrected herself by saying yes she have heard about Africa, she even went on to say she’s had African food before (FuFu). As grown ups that are from third world countries like myself and you, we should already understand how this world is set up, the things that are taught in schools are the yt man’s story not the real story. It is when we become adults that we realize that what we were taught in school wasn’t facts. I migrated to the United States when I was 11 years old, I am now 33 years old. I was taught nothing good about Africa here in the States, but growing up I already knew the real story about Africa because my Great grandmother was born in Ghana (Kumasi to be exact) and she moved to Jamaica back in the early 1930s. My entire family in Jamaica speaks Twi and basically lives the life of a typical Ghanaian family. My entire neighborhood in Jamaica loves our family and even join us for celebrations and enjoys our Ghanaian food. They even took it real hard when my great grandmother passed (A born African Woman). When you were not taught something, it’s ok to say you know nothing about it, and I will always respect my fellow Jamaicans that knows nothing about Africa to say NO THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT AFRICANS. It’s not a crime to not know your roots if it wasn’t taught to you, it also would be great for us that knows our roots to spread our truth respectfully to the people who don’t and not criticize them for not knowing it. One of Jamaica’s national Heroes (NANNY of the Maroons) was born in Ghana and brought to Jamaica as a slave. She’s Jamaica’s only female National Hero. Also, Marcus Garvey who was born in Jamaica was trying to get the Africans back to Africa which wasn’t successful, but he didn’t give up on trying to Unite us. Ghana’s Black Star was influenced by Kwame Nkrumah’s Black Star Gate which Kwame got the Black Star name from Marcus Garvey, as Black Star Line was invented by Marcus Garvey as a movement to get Africans back to Africa. We are connected and blended, we are one. What we need to do is take this opportunity to educate each other about our HOME (Africa) instead of highlighting and focusing on the negative that one individual had to say about a continent that she has criticized due to watching a fictional movie. Let’s educate each other positively and it will definitely push us to uniting sooner than you think. One Love ❤️
Well said Sister! They are there blaming this one woman among the many others who spoke positively Re: Africa
They are not blaming the popular contents spilling out of the those negative stereotypical movies portraying people from the Continent
This poor woman and others alike who are mal-educated and filling their lives with these portrayal of the characters from African movies, and who do not acquire the knowledge, are now becoming the scrutiny of the whole of Africa.
I'm humbled at your mental stance..truly impressive. Your ability to shed light in a dark place is beautiful! You're bang on! Seeing this video with its negative spin seems to be the most watched/played....hopefully, it will get Miss T to 1000000 subscribers. I guess this is the matter of creating content?
I am Jamaican. Never heard any of those negative comments about Africa or Africans in Jamaica. I didn't see Ms. Trudy video. She may have interviewed some ignorant and unenlightened Jamaicans. Truth be told, most Jamaicans are pro Africa and love our African roots and ancestry. It is quite unfortunate she found some of the ignorant and less knowledgeable Jamaicans to interview. Some of what they said were also mistranslated. They do not represent or reflect the general population of Jamaica.
I also need to get info on buying beachfront land in Cape Coast. Any info would be appreciated.
The woman in Ms Trudy's video knows what she's talking about. Most Africans don't like constructive criticism. The village young women who come to the city for work in the wealthy houses are treated in the worst ways by the their Madams. The truth hurts, but it is the truth...denial don't prove that these things don't exist. I have beautiful friends from Nigeria and they all confirm these things when I asked them about these stories. All TRUE, they say. Social media is responsible for bringing out everything now, so maybe it's a good thing. I see these revelations as a purge of conscience. Four hundred years of not doing anything to self improve must end, it's vital time for us to focus seriously on self reflection and improvement. I love Africa, I want to see more love and respect for each other, at the end of the day, we dark skin tones people are Africans and divided we stand, divided we fall...One love, from Jamaica❤ (lick means, slap...obeah means, juju. The slaves brought it with them and it was handed down to the descendants...we called it here in Jamaica...obeah or witchcraft. Facts!
That was one of the, you should watch her video , All the other interviewees were positive
In Jamaican patois dialect, "lick" means "to hit someone". The woman in the video said Africans love to lick too much, meaning Africans like to hit or fight too much. She was not saying that Africans like liquor or drink alcohol too much. 400 + years of slavery, Colonialism, oppression, mis-education, media, propoganda, has create huge gaps of misunderstandings. Lots of work to be done. Those who are fortunate to understand the realities should give of their time to teach the ones who may not understand certain issues of our social and historic experiences.
Box? What is box?
Box as in: Yuh waan me box yuh raas?" LOL!
Unuh Jamaican crazy
Most Jamaicans feel at home when they visit Africa because Africa look the same as Jamaica.
....I don't blame her so much, it has been our of showcasing our movies
I guess it is the same thing that most people think America is what they see in movies. Jamaicans love Africa
As Jamaican born, i must say everyone is entitled to their opinions.
Personally , i love my brothers and sisters in and from the mother land.
My dream is to visit Ghana th8s year by the grace of God i will make it.
You're going to love it!!!
When she said that they love lick she didn't not mean liquor. Lick means hit. She is trying to say that African men love to beat their women not that they love to drink liquor. Another word for beat is either lick or box in a lot of the English speaking Caribbean islands.
Well I must say that I was also shocked when I saw the Jamaican lady say those horrible things about Africa, but then I thought about it, there are many ignorant people all around the world and she does not represent the majority of Jamaicans or people from the islands and also it seems like she got her ideas from watching Nigerian movies and now she thinks all Africans are like the characters in those movies which tells me that she's probably has very little education, but hopefully maybe someone in Jamaica watching the video will teach her about the real Africa.... anyway shout out to all my beautiful Jamaicans out there...One Love
You're right on the money, there's too much projection of voodoo in African movies.!!
My brother the education that Jamaican people are a should see Africans living in Jamaica what they receive as education is strictly European education not Afrocentric education
Sadly brother it's the same in the motherland. We've got a long way to go.
It also shows the power of movies how it can shape the way some people see others, many of the movies featuring African Americans also shaped the way the world saw African Americans.
that is true m we see them aas violent and also ready fight or shoot someone
My brother box meant slat
I was really shock surprise watching it too😳😳😅
Your video is very informative
Go and watch the entire video, don't fall far sensational sound bites. This comment doesn't represent the majority of views of Jamaicans. He is trying to mislead the public to make them believed that all Jamaicans think like this woman. This brother is sneaky and deceitful. It is well known that this woman sufferes with PERSONALITY DISORDER, her mental faculties is off!
Her response is focused on the movies that promotes negativity and against the principles of Rastafarianism.
She said "lick" which means hit not licquor or alcohol.
She said love lick. In Jamaica it means hit fighting women. Africa has also negative for example voodoo practices etc. Not everyone practices voodoo but it exists. Voodoo also is practiced in Jamaica because we held on to a lot of our African culture. Don't be surprised you know this
It's really shocking ,we pray for one Africa and one people . Africa unite❤
She watches too many African movies.
I am sure. And she has assumed that is what all Africans are
true
African movies she watches r produced by Africans they r putting that image out their of themselves.
A good reaction my brother
To interview the least informed people in a population and then present as a representation of the overall attitudes of a nation is not much different than the narrative we are trying to change. Some are doing it for the love and others are doing it for the likes/clicks. Let’s be better to each other.
My brother I must say some of those people that you see saying these things about Africa and African people are in absolute ignorant of what continent is all about that is the narrative that we receive from Europeans this is what we must change is the mindset I thought people
Ekow that is one jamaican out of all the interviews, both wode and trudy has done. That one is still in the DARK . Dont use that one tough head to think we all have tough head. Cho mon. Am jamaican Sunday I will be landing in Ghana, where I built a home in Asebu.
Everybody else had great things to say.
When our Jamaican sister said "dem love lick to-much" she wasn't saying that they love liquor too much..lol What she was saying is they she believes that Africans are quick tempered and prone beat their partner/spouses in the course of an argument or quarrel. Nothing to do with alcohol at all 😂
Brother I'm shock at her response as a jamican, because I don't watch those Afican movies. I was not aware of the negative stero type they protray
Brother stop worring Jamaicans know more about africa than most africans belive me and majority of jamaican knows better we love the entire contenent ❤👌👊
The lady specifically said that what she see in the Nigerian movies.
Chiming in all the way from Jamaica rhe country!
Hey my brother, your work is amazing, at least to me! As a jamaican I would like to help you clarify something in this recent post. Are you interested ?
Simply put…… Jamaicans 🇯🇲 love all our brothers and sisters in the motherland. This is social media, understandably the odd ball content will attract some attention 😂 and raise some eyebrows, but it is by no means a reflection of the general Jamaican population.
Stop saying what Jamaicans think...just one lady. Mince it, Trudy said that she's been getting Jamaicans all this time who loves Africa but the lady shocked her.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
And by the way, if you came to know some J.A people like that one..they don't take correction. But they are few crazy like her. ❤
I love Africans, they are our brothers
Yes they are and we love them always
Look you cannot take what she thinks of African as gospel. Don’t paint all Jamaicans with a broad paint brush. We all don’t hold the same belief. She is just one individual. Jamaicans love love Africans. Jamaica is an extension of Ghana. That sister is not open minded neither is she exposed.
There was a lot more positive than negative but you choose to highlight the negative
Misleading, Misleading! What one Jamaican thinks about African or what a few Jamaicans think about Africa?
And this is also vice versa. We also hear other African sisters & brothers speak bad about Black American and Caribbean people.
We also see our African sister fight against each other on social media which is one of our downfall.
We need to appreciate one another; unite & love each other, and teach other countries about ourselves; thus changing the narrative of self-hate.
What is One popular African country portraying to the world thru' Films & social media will get the attention of ignorant people who are not knowledgeable about the African continent/countries.
They have taken movies as real
I am Jamaican went to school there, I learn about Africa in school, saw Nigerian athletes came to the commonwealth games back in the 70’s. She did not say liquor she said lick which means to hit someone, also she said box someone means to hit you in the face. There was a language barrier there even though Ms Trudy was speaking English. That student said she didn’t understand, then said yes she knows of Africa even said she ate fufu.
Most Ghanaians also don't know much about other black people outside their area.
Ekow, come here please.....Your caption says, what Jamaicans think of Africans. Who are the Jamaicans you are referring to? You have to come with a few names. STOP throwing Jamaicans under the bus because of what one Jamaican lady said.
Tell him
He is sneaky and deceitful, he thought he could used this sound bite to make the world believe all Jamaicans think like this woman but it backfired! HE IS A DECEVER!
Slavery is how we got here, Our ancestors were captured by Africans and sold to the British, Portuguese and Spaniard for mirrors and plastic beads, They were then pack like cargo and transported. Are you educated about Slavery?? It is amazing that we still love our Ancestral homeland.
I'm a African that was born in jamaica I'm so so sorry for what my sister saw about Africa and Americans I'm sincerely apologizing for my sister because as long as your black your African yes we need to educate our people so we have a lot of work to do and most jamaican people know that there ancestors are African.one love to all Americans.
That lady sees Africa through the eyes of the Nigerian Movie Industry. She doesn't know how to separate facts from fictions, and it's obvious that she is not an educated person to know better. However, I am not saying that everything in those movies are fictions. But, common sense should tell us that not all Nigerians or Africans practice those bad things. Yes, there are a small percentage of Jamaicans who think like this lady. I had the opportunity to enlighten some of them. But, Miss Trudy shouldn't make this one person's opinion or perception of Africans override the majority. This woman doesn't know anything about herself or her history. Because she is accusing Nigerians in the movies of fighting, and with her own mouth she said that she also likes to fight, which tells me that if she were to take a DNA test, she would have a very high percentage of Nigerian in her DNA. So, it's like the kettle calling the pot black out of ignorance. Don't forget that many Nigerians were brought to Jamaica during the Transatlantic Slave Trade. And, among Jamaicans there are many different tribal characteristics that are unknown to them, but we see them manifesting in our behavior. We all need to educate ourselves about who we are as a people.
She didn’t said liquor “ she said yall love to hit too much “ .. she use word lik wich means “ HIT “ in Jamaica
I BET, if you go to see that same lady on different day, you'll get a different reaction from her. Jamaicans ARE very proud Africans!!
I bet not. She's ignorant and has been brainwashed well from early
The African movies have to deal with history, modern development, business, development, positivity, etc
See what Nollywood movies is creating a negative stereotypes by consistently depicting witchcraft & voodoo ritual killings.
It'll be nice if the movie industry in Nigeria consentrate on positive images.Hollywood doesn't show the negative side of America consistently.
Nuff respect Ekow
Bless up🙏🙏💘 the
Ekow we Africans owe no one so we don't have to prove ourselves to no one, the intelligent one will learn for and know things for themselves
Thanks for the sober analysis ne bredren.
*And yes, why be ashamed of our culture. We do have a certain amount mystic beliefs.
The slaves brought it over to Jamaica, and expressed it in the form of:
Obeah
Pocomania: because the Spanish thought these Africans were (poco: a little. Mania: Crazy, manic)
And Myal.
Some were meant to do harm, while others to cure.
When I would run away from a whipping, my Jamaican grandmother would warn me: Bwai if yuh run from yahso to Oyo, me a guh ketch yuh. Where the hell is Oyo? I wondered. As it turned out, my illiterate grandmother was smarter than I am. Don't think she knew anything about Oyo though. It was just an expression introduced by the Slaves, and it took root.
I was birthed at home by my Grandmother, and didn't see a medical Doctor until age 15. My Granny knew the medical value of each plant, which is all part of the Obeah thing.
Every word out my Granny's mouth sounded like an African word: "Me nah get involved ina Mbakra business". Who the hell is Bakra?
Move to a new residence: My Granny killed a chicken and sprinkle the blood around the yard.
So, Jamaica is full of whatever you want to call it. I don't know what that crazy lady was talking about.
*African descendants living in Spanish Countries call it Santeria, a mixture of African beliefs and Catholism.
*Voodoo in Haiti. The snake god, Dambala
* Shango. Maybe in Trinidad. Bet definitely Nigerian.
Therefore, I don't have to defend myself regarding the African tradition that were key in slave revolts.
I was going to keep quiet, but you asked for a comment, so here goes. I am a Jamaican in Jamaica. I keep seeing people leaving comments on African videos suggesting that ‘the west’ is the axis of all things evil for Africa and the diaspora. Let me remind everyone that Jamaica is PHYSICALLY located in the west. We are 500 miles from the United States. We can not go to war with these people, culturally or otherwise. We will always lose. We tried that already politically in the 1970’s, it was a colossal failure, look it up. We ended up in a low scale civil war. Jamaica is still recovering from that. We know a lot of bad things things happened in the past between ‘the west’ and Africa, but we Jamaicans do not have the luxury of taking sides here. I find it so silly that so many people of African heritage live in America, Canada or Europe, make their living there and yet cuss ‘the west’ everyday. It’s crazy. Recently everybody trying to drag us into their various culture wars (the black Americans tried really hard), but we cannot participate. We have a saying in Jamaica : ‘cockroach don’t business ina fowl fight.’ We are too small, please leave us out of it.
That woman was being funny had me laughing
AGREED!
So the view of a single person is it?
One person can't speak for a whole nation come on ekow, ghanaian and other Africans say they don't like jamaicans, black Americans and it's not all Africans a few don't stand ❤❤❤
Hey , the lady did not say african drink alcohol. She was saying they like hit other people. And I don't think she was serious about what she said. She was talking jokingly
😂 One jamaican is not all Jamaicans 😂
EKOW YOU LOSE ON THIS ONE! You thought you could deceived the world to believed all Jamaicans think like this woman. THE WORLD KNOWS THAT JAMAICANS ARE PRO AFRICA, WE LOVE OUR AFRICAN SISTERS AND BROTHERS! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤!
What about all the other people that were positive. Why focus on this one that’s negative
the focus isnt on the negative, we are trying to preach the food word. also the positive was mentioned
That wont give them likes
She never said Africans are alcoholics?
How many persons did miss trudy interviewed? You took one comment and disregarded the rest.
@@EkowSimpsonThe lady didn't say Africans are alcoholics. She said they love to fight. Lick in patois means to hit, strike, slap etc.
Jamaica used to teach African history. This is a different generation. A generation that is far removed from African, slavery, etc.
Some people think Africa is a country.
Jamaica is the most Africa conscious country in the west. have you ever heard of marcus garvey? hes a Jamaican.
In the 50’s 60’s 70’s,,or even before,Jamaica was more or at the forefront in promoting Africa,, these kids now not so much,,, and I think the leaders coming out of Africa not doing much to captivate others in the diaspora,,, the interim president of burkino Faso,, is one of charisma,, and I think he should be the face of Africa renaissance,,,
That was the only bad comment the others were very positive comments why focus it.
This you tuber is very bias,he dont show the good comment that the Jamaicans was saying about Africa. He is the same one going around and interviewing the Jamaicans thats land in Ghana to take up residency. They speak highly aboit Africa.BIG HYPROCRITE.
What she said Africans love to lick or box people which is patois or Jamaican slapping people especially in the face. So it's not liquor but rather (lick or slap people) an example is the prank videos in Africa and the people who get angry often strikes the person with a slap to the face, body or head. So in Jamaica they would say the person box mi or lick mi inna mi face, head or pon mi body get it. We use words differently in Patois in Jamaica.
It’s not liquor, she said (lick) as in hitting 😂
Mi bredda no repeat fe are ting.
There is some misunderstanding going on here! Listen carefully.
Not all people, whether Jamaicans or Africans, especially people who are confronted by UA-camrs with a camera in their face will not like or welcome it.
And then to plaster that woman's face all over the world without her permission for you tube views can sometimes pose a challenge
The woman in question did not say anything about liquor; that was an interpretation due to language barrier.
"Dem luv lik too much --> doesn't mean " They love liquor too much!" Ask a Jamaican.
She only saying that base on what she watch in Nigeria movies
As a jamaican , I know when a person is serious
That was just a local mad woman. Does not represent the vast majority of Jamaicans who love our roots and are pro African.
It’s not Jamaican roots that check out videos on Jamaica. Jamaica is a very popular Tourist destination, and as result there searches about Jamaica and places In Jamaica. Bro you need to ask question next time. It did not say liquor, she said lick which is hitting someone, like wise box is slapped someone in the face
Una love box is You all love or like to fight, like one another. Quarrel and unnecessary arguments you like to make and create with each other. You’re jealous of one another etc. Una means You and you is plural
DONT SAY WHAT JAMAICANS SAY ABOUT AFFRICANS.SAY WHAT A JAMAICAN WOMAN SAY ABOUT AFRICANS PERIOD.90% of Jamaica s like Africans, especially Ghananians.
agreed
My brother ignorance of whom you are can cause confusion. 😅. I can tell you that she maybe being sarcastic. Our people are known to have a straight face talking. It doesn't mean we are being insulting. Notice she mentioned the Nigerian movies. Brother we are Africans and she doesn't speak for all.
yes she didnt speak well of us at all
I agree, she was being sarcastic. You can tell from her smile
That's a reach fam, she was saying how she felt. She wasn't being sarcastic. She's ignorant. Lots of people like her exist unfortunately. Let's not pretend
@@missceebrownin Okay let's say ignorance. That means once she's enlightened she'll be informed.
@EkowSimpson Your take is frustrating. This is one woman out of the hundreds that they have met while in Jamaica? Why the focus on only the negative comments or opinions? I think that woman was also being mischievous. "Lick" in Jamaican parlance means to hit or fight. "Bax" means to punch. In the Nigerian movies she watched she sees a lot of fighting😂
You can’t use that woman to judge she is miseducated
That is why we all need to educate ourselves
This woman paaa 😂😂😂
The Lady did not say liquor, she said lick too much, which means they love to slap people too much..
You did not watch the rest of the video the rest of Jamaicans said how much they love Africa and know that Jamaicans and Africans are one people.
I think it's a shame that you didn't do your research
Did you watch the entire interviews it was more than 1 person she interviewed.
Why do you have to find something negative to talk about.
It just makes more divide between Africans and Jamaicans
I know a lot of African people that do not like Jamaican people.
I have to agree with you. Africans call the Caribbean people 3rd class blacks. They see us as lower than them.
Why are African UA-camrs dwelling on this one video? Stop!
Why don't we talk about the last part of the video with the rasta man most of us know our culture wear our forefathers is from one love
I would like ask you a question, where are the videos where Jamaicans bogging up Africa? You cannot use two person who are not knowledgeable about Africa and judge all of Jamaica. Jamaicans watch a lot of Nollywood movies from I was in my teens, also Generation from South Africa, we never knew Ghana has their own movies. You are trying to teach Jamaicans what they already know, Jamaicans knows almost everything about Africa more than Africans know about Jamaica, because our education system teaches us starting from basic school. In Jamaica, at schools and church, we have African Day where everyone dressed up in African attire, we also have Afro Day where the kids wears their natural hair in Afros. Jamaicans know that they are from Nigeria, Ghana and other parts of South Central Africa. That one lady happens to be an ignorant one. Go watch Dee Mwango a Kenyan UA-camr who are in Jamaica doing a great job showing casing Jamaica and how Jamaicans love Africa.
Don't listen to ignorant people
May I propose a Jamaican translation dictionary?
Lick
Box
Unuh
Nyam
Batty
PUMPUM...LOL
Not necessarily in alphabetical order
Only one person said that so why so many attention.
Bro that was a skit. Look at the beginning pay attention. She was playing around.
Ekow why focus on this one person from Miss Trudy's videos? She interviewed about 10 people who has positive things to say and you chose that one? I am disappointed in you Sir. Do better.
Don't listen to nonsense from the few. That's how the media keep us apart with those programmes.
Yes change the narrative snd your whitchcraft movies. The same scary thing is said about India. If it was bad all the other people wouldn't be tunning there.
The Jamaicans who have travelled are far more open minded.
Try to visit yhe motherland instread of limiting ourselves to Europe and America.
Some are very ignorance and stu
There are ignorant people everywhere, and they don't represent the majority. I can tell you with absolute certainty that she does not represent the majority of jamaicans. We could do a whole video on jaw dropping comments made by various..... from different parts of the motherland and the carribean but ignorance devoid of a context should not be the objective. This reminds me of living in Babylon where black person commits a crime and suddendly we are all seen as criminals?
Ekow please don't go there, stop saying what you saying until you live with them, i done that for over 40 years, among all the diaspora they are the most ignorance
Ekow, I'm surprised that you are shocked based on your background. You should know that this woman lives in a fictional/mytical world of movies, and unfortunately, most of these movies depict what she said....why? Also, it is obvious she is misinformed, unenlightened, and ignorant. Not to mention, she made a mistake of saying that Africans are afraid of Jamaicans because they eat Susumba... when in fact that saying goes for people from Haiti 🇭🇹. I guarantee she's not the only one who believes this because, for all her life "thats" what is pushed in the media. I have never seen ANYTHING POSITIVE about Africa until the Information Highway began to tell the truth! I myself heard awful stories about Africa and how scary the people are. I have watched "so-called" documentaries about cannibalism in Africa...poor, sickly, uneducated, and the list is inexhaustible. However, TRUTH does come out...the west no longer can keep us blinded!!! Africa is the greatest, most fascinating, breathtakingly beautiful country I have ever encountered. Not to mention its people..ooooooo so wonderful, beautiful and kind..now the west will get a taste of its own medicine...as they say....carma is a ..........! I can't wait to be reunited with my true country from which my ancestors were stolen....my heart is so full that the lies of the west are still believed. I have been to Ethiopia and Ghana.....love is so much...can't wait to return to mother...so pray that this poor woman find herself and all those who are still in darkness. Blessings ❤
It's unfortunate that your video is titled, 'what Jamaicans think of African,' however, your video is based upon the views of only a single Jamaican, a lady who claims to not liking Africans. Miss Trudy inerviewed about eight Jamaicans, asking them the very same question and all the others shared positive feeling towards Africans but for reasons that I consider to be nothing nothing but hypocritical, you chose to highlight only the negative remarks. Shame on you man. I am Jamaican and the love that I have for Africans is mountain high, so is it fair in anyway to use the dislike of one woman for Africans to highlight my feelings?
That is so true, just 1 tough head jamaican and that heading was created, sad indeed, 2 negative really, the scholas, that didn't know about Africa and @Ekow jumped on that. Wode and trudy and african tigress had such positive and great experience to spoil it with 2 negative.
Not Jamaican one person so be clear to what u saying and she is baseing it off Nigerian movie.
😮! Wow! Ekow. You are seriously misleading. You avoided the entire clip and chose 1 out of several interviews to dwell on. You didn't even do your research on some of the words used and translated them wrongly. Do you even realize that the lady in the interview and the other one who chimed in later were talking about Nigerian movies? C'mon bro.
You guys took one ignorant person's perspective and run with it huh. There's no new like negative news😮
But if she watches African movies she don't have to say search of this haters words, she has a problem, is it all the Jamaican smoke weed no
yes she doesnt have to go to that extent
I think it's just sarcasm on her part. Jamaicans LOVE Africa in general!!
@@EkowSimpsonLack of education makes people say all kinds of crazy things so what she said should not be taken seriously 😮There is ignorance on both sides of the Atlantic but at least we are having dialogue……Peace!!!
That lady is just a drama person, not everyone knows anything about africa or their own country, ask that lady about jamaican culture i can tell u she wouldn't know a thing, she watch too much Nigerian movies, but what we see in the movies,we see ourselves as jamaicans,we do the same, she even say jamaican eat cusumber some little green bean looking thing sometimes it's bitter,it's the Haitians who use it to do voodoo so she is mixed up,forgive her,she don't know what she's saying
Ekow, I am disappointed in you. You should play that video in its entirety and not selectively. There were positive views of Africa in that video. The first woman in her statement of Africa re Obeah and eating of Susumba (Gully beans) are comments that had been attributed to Haitians. She probable don't know Haiti is not an African country. I am a Jamaican and I love the Motherland and I am sure you know of Bob Marley, Marcus Garvey and many other prominent Jamaicans that advocate for the return of black people to Africa. Please do not disparage Jamaicans.
My plea was for Africans in the motherland to do their work to educate our people so I don’t get the part u are dissatisfied about
Ekow, why don't you educate without ridiculing? I could be just as snarky because in university, l had a Ghanaian told me, he doesn't like Jamaican for we are as cantankerous as the Ashanti tribe. On both sides, we need to build bridges instead of blowing them up. Have a blessed day.
BRO, STOP USING ONE NEGATIVE COMMENT TO PAINT AN ENTIRE NATION AS THOUGH EVERYBODY THINK THE SAME ! IF YOU KEEP DOING THIS S**T YOU WILL LOOSE FOLLOWERS AND GET CANCELED !
You features one Jamaican lady , and you think that all of Jamaican .smh. Just get views
