    Ty again , who realy knows the answer here , my dad was a grader driver n I remember him saying when he was alive , back then they didn't make the roads so water would flow off the right way , it would cause flooding , seems he was correct
    Shame he hasn't been round just gone 18 years 23rd Oct x sp

    Lucky it is Levee land up there. Kerang (or north of it right on the Murray), has one of the tallest levee banks I have seen at about 20 feet.

      There's a breach 1150mtrs West of Holdstock Rd facing North - which feeds the Calivil Creek. A fair amount of water running through.

    All this damage could of been avoided with the right planning of permanent levy bank run offs and daming further up the river system.
    It's not rocket science.

      Its a natural flood plain...flows from Queensland to South Australia. How mamy dams and levy's do you think would be required to stop it and if they did where would the water go??
      Look up the 1956 floods!!!

      @@wilowest3509whats a man on the moon have to do with a natural flood plain??? But you are correct it isnt rocket science, but i guess for you destroying 16 important wetlands and letting over 35 endangered species die out not to mention the 120 different waterbird species that would also disapear with out these floods!!!

      @@mattpocka2948 you sound like one of those hypocritical so called animal lovers that fully support killing thousands of Birds and Batts every day World Wide by supporting Wind Turbines !
      By redirecting water and daming it this would help your endangered species to flourish as would if you go plants some trees right now , l have done it regularly for years in random areas and go past some of them watching birds and wildlife flourish in them it's not rocket science 🖐️

      Why not let natures way in the murray darling basin as it has done since well before poeple built towns in the middle of it....endangered species in Australia rely on natures way not redirecting water that naturally flows Qld thru NSW to SA as it has done for 1000's n 1000's of years because it does not fit your narrow minded way!!!

    Great, So I assume lake charm is overflowing too.

      @7six3  Рік тому

      Lake Charm is at 91% capacity and rising as of today, however this is less water than it was holding in June so not an immediate concern. Increased flows in a short timeframe could change that over the next 1-2 weeks
