  • This episode looks at Miser's Hoard #7 from 1984, the product of the John McKeown, with contributions by Ian McKeown, John Watkins, Brian Haunton, Richard Osborne, Doug Cowie, Dave Elrick.
This fanzine is focused on D&D, Runequest and Traveller. Contents include: ideas on large scale battles, product reviews, running RPGs without experience levels, a Runequest adventure (Jerush Windwalker), new ideas on cleric (and MU) titles and relationships with their church members, a brief ideas for a Traveller adventure, stats and skills for a Runequest early career, a fantasy short story, reader letters, and information on other fanzines and magazines.
A new item mentioned that I'm hoping to find: Daemon Spawn of the Myathlon Cult by Rod Stevenson and distributed by Mystic Arts Publications.
The fanzines in my collection are all focused on RPGs (especially fantasy role playing games) and with an emphasis on content for Dungeons & Dragons (depending on the year, that could be OD&D, Basic/Expert D&D and/or AD&D).
** Other Early Fanzines Identified in this issue: DragonLords, Quasits & Quasars, Wyrm's Clasw, Runestone, Sewars, Drunk and Disorderly, Journal of the Senseless Carnage Society, Demon's Drawl, Tempestuous Orifice and Shadow Fire, as well as White Dwarf and Imagine (professional).
*** Art shown from this issue was created by Tim Pollard (cover), Hudson Shaw, Phil Tortorici, Megan Evans and Fox.
**** "fanzine" - a magazine, usually produced by amateurs, for fans of a particular hobby or field of interest.
