    Beautifully produced drone video.Amazing footage! Let's us know that the Orca is the master of the sea game. These two were capable of capsizing the kayaks but seemed to be more curious and totally in control of their proximity to the kayaker so. Amazing photography, thank you so much!

      @@darrylbernard8885 ok. So, you can teach an orca to do stupid tricks that are even unnatural for them, but you can not teach them to hunt. There's a lot of videos of seaworld orcas hunting pelicans. and we want orcas to be on a sanctuary. If they cannot live free at least they live on the ocean.

    • @cosmicmuffin322
      @cosmicmuffin322 2 роки тому

      These orcas who have been held captive, tortured, and traumatised their whole lives deserve the chance to live free. If they can't be released, they can live in a massive ocean reserve with a steady supply of fish to eat. Humanity owes it to them to try. I believe they even have a place ready for them to go. SeaWorld just has to let them go. And they won't do it until they're forced to.

    • @UseADamnCoaster
      @UseADamnCoaster 2 роки тому

      100% agreed. Sea World's egregious immoral practice of stealing helpless orca calves from the wild and relegating them to a pathetic tank for their entire lives should absolutely be considered a crime. The idea that they don't understand the fact that they're prisoners and miss ocean life is completely bunk. These things are smart enough to know what's going on, which is why they attack their trainers on occasion. Their frustrations and anger are completely relatable. They should all be free. Fuck Sea World

After a year of trying to acclimate it to being back in the wild they released it near the pod it originally came from. Instead of staying with the pod it immediately searched out human contact and ended up in a Norwegian harbor. The fishermen there were told not to feed the orca or they would get fined so the inevitable happened. The orca died of starvation.

    To answer a common question: Orcas don't see humans as food because (a) it's not in their evolutionary DNA and instinct and (b) they have distinct cultures and learn from their parents / pod members what to eat. Some Orcas pods eat only / mostly salmon. Others eat mostly / only larger sea mammals like seals, sea lions, etc. You could say they are like cats that way: picky eaters.

      Problem is orcas dont attack humans, so that would never happen.

      No they have not. There are no records of orcas attacking humans in the wild.

      1 recorded fatal incident on humans in captivity. 4 non fatal but still attacked. point is they could easily see us as toys in the wild, sitting on a cayak, just because they havent does not mean they wouldnt

      marcus1642ad Only an Orca in captivity would attack a human...It drives them mad. People swim with Orcas everyday in the wild and there hasn't been an attack on a human ever. People who put these sea creatures in small tanks not even 200 feet across and teach them tricks etc. Are asking to be attacked by one. They can swim up to 100 miles per day. I doubt they get 3 in captivity.

    It looked to me more like the kayaker got in the way of the orca' feeding. I really did not see any play at all.

    The camera distortion is awful. Couldn't finish it. One can not see anything well from this video.

    Beautiful but the title is misleading. The orcas did not play with the Kayakers at all.

    Er du fornøyd med APM 2.5? har vurdert å kjøpe 3DR Pixhawk som kan kjøre den nye versjonen av apm (så vidt eg leser det). Nydelig film foresten.

    If I see orcas coming to play with me, I would get heart attack right over there:) by d way it's a beautiful video. It's better than sea world shows because the orca wants to play with you willing..without any force

    Same day (abit later) Orca was seen playing with tug boat/ferry, and was (later) seen floating on its belly (dead) from being hit by the propeller.

    Orcas are not a threat to humans. They only attack if threatened, or stuck in a tank their whole lives and made to entertain humans.. If you respect them...they respect you.

    With a wet suit I would be right in the water with them. They are far more gentle than dolphins, and possibly more intelligent than us on a level that I can't quite explain. Lets call it the "TRUE SIGHT FACTOR." It is almost as if they can peer into your soul and sense what you are inside.

    I think you did a great job, thank you for sharing. The orcas are magnificent and your video is amazing, and the music is nice. Did you use an unmanned drone for the camera? Or a hang-glider? Would love to learn how you accomplished the above-sea angle.
