I'm just kinda jumping in, but I have a suggestion concerning plastics repair. Instead of fiberglass, try paper towels, I prefer the blue shop paper towels, cut to desired design, place where needed and apply super glue. Soak the paper and toss a little heat on it if you like. It makes a good patch for plastics.
Not the color I would choose personally, but the finish looks nice imo. That little overlap is hardly noticeable. This civic is gonna be sick when finally finished!
