Tim, Totally awesome project! I love your hands on approach to all your work on the car in the 25+ years. Your car looks and runs great. Still want a ride.
Thanks Malcolm. Yeah, I'm not used to this time lapse stuff. I did it slower with the center console video, which uses the same technique. ua-cam.com/video/FejDD72bO3U/v-deo.html Just ask if you need details.
Curious as to how long since the pamels were made, has the glue held over an extended time, and the foam(headliner) scares me..wouldnt closed cell foam last longer?
It's been 8 months since I've done this, and it looks like the day I made it. I was worried about the glue in the summer heat in the garage and at the car shows. All is good. When I dissected the original 1975 vinyl door panels, they also had a type of headliner foam in them. If they used it and it held up for almost 50 years, I should be OK.
Thank you. The seats are Mazda Miata seats I got from a junk yard years ago. I made adaptors to bolt them in, and covered the adaptors in carpet to make it blend in.
Thanks much. I used the same clips the factory used. They're plastic "Christmas trees" as some people call them. There are slots in the chipboard and the slide in from the back. I hope that helps.

Thanks! Are they adjustable? If so, did you use the Miata seat track or the Vega seat track? We're struggling because my seat needs to be forward for me to drive because I'm short, but I have to push back to get in and out. Appreciate any info!
I actually used the Miata tracks and made adaptors to mate to the vega seat bolt pattern using 1/8" thick steel tubing of various sizes. They originally sat too low, so I also made spacers to help. Then covered them with carpeting to hide the adaptors. @@trishacavanaughXx72

Thanks much Phil. I wish I could say I've done it all on this car but I have had plenty of help.
That's what friends are for. Put the snow tires on and hit the road. lol
😄
This is some great inspiration for doing the inside bed sides of my 78’ k5. Great work!
Thanks very much. 🙂
Really like how it all comes together
Thanks Jeremiah. I'm trying to keep busy till cruising starts. 😁
They turned out great.thanks for sharing
Thank you and thanks for watching.
Beautiful work!
Thanks much!
That really came out great and looks very good against the black, really pops! Love the panels and the pleating design! Well done video! Bravo!!👍👏
Thanks much Barb, I really appreciate that. ☺
Not a clue what you did. it's hard to follow constant time lapse. However, the end product looks good.

Man looks really good. Tmi would charge over $1000 for something like this.
Thanks! I really appreciate it.
That came out really well, Tim! I look forward to seeing it in person this spring/summer.
Thanks much Kevin!
Very nice, I had no idea you could get it done so fast.🤪
I see what you did there. 😆 Thanks John!

Thanks Jim. I really appreciate it.
Tim that looks awesome. The video is the best I have seen on You Tube. Looking forward to seeing your Vega. Will you be at the IX show?
Thanks Jim. No IX center for us this year. Looking forward to cruising with you soon.
Nice work, bill of materials is very helpful.
Related question kinda. What are the seats out of?

Nice job !!! Could you tell me how you installed the door panels to the doors? I didnt see any screws, and I didnt see and holes for clips.

great job
Thanks much!
They look terrific! I may be looking to try something like this if my armrests don't fit with my doorbars!
Can I ask what seats you have in the car?
