Mate you need to stop worrying about what folks think if it's cheating. Naw it's no.
Just keep doing what your doing that's why we watch you 💯.
It's your bug out car video.
Hi mate I asked because I like to know peoples thoughts
Agree this 100%. Your enthusiasm for it, whatever it is, is why people watch. Atb
@@englishwoodsman As Matt says, just keep doing what your doing. Don't worry about what people think. Your not going up Mount Everest and neither am i. I'm not even doing what your doing. Your doing what you can get away with.
@@englishwoodsman it’s about practice And having fun in my opinion
@@SonofChurchill Hear that everyone fuck you all. Its not as if he's posting videos of what he does while camping, on a public forum inviting peoples opinions is it ! 😏
Not cheating at all with the wood buddy. If you see a tree in the UK you can be almost certain someone owns it and the land its growing on. Good on the landowner who is doing this. Wish there were more like him
National trust owned stuff is best can be in there when they’re going home and gone by the time they come to work
"A clever man always goes for the easiest option but prepares for the worst!"
Quoted by my first Scout leader while showing us how to light a fire and then promptly lite his own with matches🔥👍
Did he teach you how to peg a tent? if not this is the video!
Yeah, that were me mam!,
If you're nervous about the pole tearing through the peak of the tent if it's over-tightened, cut a tennis ball in half and put one half over the top of the pole. I did that on mine and it works well to prevent the fabric from looking like it's gonna tear . . . The other half of the tennis ball can be put at the bottom if it's muddy or snowy to keep it from sinking in.
Stop worrying about what other people think marra, you're doing your thing your way.
Your tent must be warm and cozy if you’re sleeping in a t -shirt!
What a nice place to camp. It looked like a winter wonderland
Another great video and take care 🇨🇦 ⛺️
HELLO. LIKE. LIKE. CAMPING. VIDEO.
I have just purchased and recieved my onetigris iron wall tent I am waiting to receive my titanium fast fold stove but really can't wait to get out there and have a go!..your vids are great and have really inspired me to get out there and get away from all the madness going on. Thanks English woodsman😎👍
That were a 4/5 sizzle when you put them kebabs on.... Followed by at least an 8 when turning them over. I'm like you Dan, I love me some SIZZLE🥩🥓🍗🍖🍔🌭🫕. "OH YEAH" can't beat it!!! X
I wouldn't worry about "cheating"! It is your video, if folk don't like they can go else where. I know what I won't tolerate is someone who does the folding/buck saw/ axe routine for our benefit and then like magic has a boundless supply of perfectly bucked and split logs or they doing the corny walking through the woods with a pack routine and then hey presto they have a virtual transit van full of gear on hand. No you're out and doing it, and you're honest about it so who cares what the the keyboard critics think. I have been planning a Teepee hot tent trip since the autumn and the state keeps shutting sites down so I for one am impressed you actually made it. Good on you mate!
Nice setup that hot tent and stove.
Another great video. Thanks for sharing.
Another great video Dan keep em coming.
Defiantly another great video 👍
Nice camp and great setup. Thanks for showing us. Take care and have a good year.
Nice one mate
Awwwwww man! I love your videos. Honest comments , great content and no bs....I’m starting to put a bit of kit together, starting with long walks and to eventually work up to overnight camping just like you...keep up my fellow Yorkshire lad. And keep posting the vids I’m learning lots from you 🤘🏻👍🏻
Good video mate
The quality of your videos keeps on getting better every one you make!
Brilliant Dan. I did a similar camp in North Norfolk last year. A mix of wild and car camping. Yes it was an official campsite but fires and fishing were allowed as well. As you say, just get out there and camp, doesn't really matter how you do it, just the fact that you are doing it!! All the best to you my friend. Paul.
Its looks like a nice little camp site you have found there Dan.
Your not cheating your just making sure you have nice dry wood. I buy wood when I go in a campground as well. I also will use some dead fall if it’s available. Good to see you and Scott out enjoying camping in the snow. We had a winter storm mid December that dumped 42-44 inches in less than 24hours!!
Great video as always Dan. Glad you did a safe camp out with all the right equipment, unlike lots of people from Yorkshire who came to Derbyshire and the Peak District and with no idea what they were doing and ended up getting stuck in the snow. Stay safe mate.
Great vlog, keep it going, thanks.
Great vid Dan not cheating at all mate, keep em coming.
good lad a fantastic video well done
Brilliant Dan and from me and all your. Disabled viewers thanks for considering us, it means a lot.
Great looking place, I think I’ll try it out👍
Looked like a great camp with some nice scran too.
Love the hot tent and stove.
Thanks for showing us👌
Great vids mate. Delighted I came across your channel. Can't wait to get back camping.
Love watching you mate, your an inspiration, keep em coming big lad
Awesome good camp ..good food ... Cheers Chris & Sam
Using bought wood isn’t cheating. I watch Off Grid Backcountry, he lives in his hot tent in Colorado and uses bought wood as he’s bot allowed to cut down trees as he often camps in National Parks. Wish we could do that here, the Govt make it so hard to live off grid. Great video thanks.
Excellent vid Dan . Cracking little spot as well , safe as houses . Stop worrying about cheating , there's enough vids out their now on wood prep , i think most of us now know how to start a fire or light a stove . If there's access for a car you'd be daft not to use it . All the best mate , stay safe .👍👍👌
Very useful video. I appreciate the effort that you put into producing these.
Really like the video 👌
Loving these winter camping vids 👍🏻👍🏻
Looks good this place Dan. Got back into camping with my son last year. Only done campsites so far but saw this place and looks like something different. Almost wild camping but safe with a 9 year old
Thanks for the video, you looked like you had a great time.
Very therapeutic buddy. Makes me relax when watching your videos.
I like to watch others trying to escape the cold Cheers Rob
Great recording lads, big love from us down south. Great escapism .
Loved this video with the hot tent magical winter wonderland thank you 🎪 🔥 😊❄️
it isnt cheating, looks well cosy doing the whole hot tent thing, especially in the snow. nice video as always!
It looks brilliant and the food great. I do miss being able to do it. Thank you for helping people like me. Take care my friend. 😎🐺☮️👍
Am sat in almost the same spot thankful of the shade, first bit of camping in 10 years, thanks for highlighting this place I'm too old to be getting chased off land nowadays lol
I use that birch wood all the time, tinder, kindling and big logs all in one bag, great video as usual👍
looks good for a maintained and warden operated woods.
Very nice place 👍👍👍😁 nice video
Thankyou for watching
Great vid dan ,cant get out work and lockdown😥 least we got ur and scotts exploits to look forward to
Camped here with friends a few month ago and it was spot on 👌 can't go wrong for £5. Great video, keep it up 👍
Enjoyed the food cooking on the hot stove made me feel very hungry lol another great night on the outdoors 👍
Good video 👍 .I just got back from a overnight camp in the new Forestlike you had a nice dinner by the fire last you can't beat food cooked on open fire
That stove looked great.
Gonna give this woodland a try sometime when we take our grandson camping sounds ideal.
Great vid again, Happy New Year.
Absolutely wicked by that pond mate,,great setting if the water is oxygenated or slightly flows then you’ve got ur own water supply!! Andy
I agree it’s not cheating love the video u are doing a great job iam happy
great video, its outdoors, what more do we want, keep em coming
Keep going Dan 😀enjoy what you’re doing 😀Thank you 👍👍
I love taking the car camping. Don't think it's cheating. Yeh it's not exactly survival style camping, but it always makes the experience much better, especially with the other half out with me. Doesn't always have to be a minimal wild camp. If you enjoyed yourself, that's all that really matters at the end of the day. Quality video 👍 HNY and good luck in 2021!
That was one hell of a camp fire - it melted ALL the snow! ;)
Even tho there's others about you still made a great camp Dan and obviously enjoyed the adventure. Fun with food n friends no better way to spend a night. Not cheating mate just being smart. Bushyboy Oz.
My goodness me dan they do Look well scrumptious and the setting is beautiful mate
Good show thanks
Nice 1 Dan 👍👍
Thankyou Craig
Great to see you out in the hot tent AMS in snow too 👍
You must have put a load of logs in overnight, you melted all the snow!
All the best Dan for 2021
Happy New Year mate, and thanks for posting. That tent is brilliant, looks lightweight, easy to put up; and to tell you the truth, would love one and a wood burner in it, but at the moment can't justify the cost as I wouldn't be able to get out around work/family life. It's not cheating using a car at all, and anyone says it is, then please feel free to lug all the gear miles by yourself! There's nothing better than snow camping, but unlike you in your posh hot tent, with your curry and kebabs, I usually just use a pot noodle, sleeping bag, tent, gloves and thick socks and 10 pints! Cracking spot as well, and looks like you both had a top night, all the best as ever, and keep posting. Nick
That tent looks toasty!
Love what you do, love your locations. Keep up your spirits up during lockdown. May 2021 be better than 2020 for everyone.
Dan, brilliant 👍
Nice little camp you had there 👌
Great camp brother
Hot tent camping is on my list of future videos! That outbacker wood stove seems good value too!
Great video as always Daniel fantastic food as your viewers have come to expect. I'll stick with my Tomshoo Titanium wood stove it's perfect for our needs I firstly fry up some liver for Shadow then a big juicy peppered steak peppers and onions for me with a couple of fried Mmm mm.
Another entertaining video, don't worry about the haters...at least you are getting out and having a go.... I use the ex army polish lavuu tents ..a bit heavy but warm in winter... keep up the good work mate..
I've had a look at the site and I like it, It's in an ideal spot for when I'm traveling south on my motorbike and only £5
Being out there is about having fun. I bring dry wood to start my stove and put frozen dead wood around the stove to thaw and dry. I’ve battled wet wood to start my stove, struggling sucks. It looks to me like you had fun
I've been contemplating getting a hot tent for a while now (usually sleep in my truck in the winter) watching your video's I'm definitely getting one now
Looks great 👍
Thankyou for watching and taking the time to comment
Getting better and better! Nice video
😂😂😂 I don't think I can get any better now mate
Cracking setup! We would like to move in... 😁
Great vid pal thought I was watching lonewolf at 1st 😂 it’s not cheating it doesn’t matter how you get out as long as you get out pal 👍🏽
Great vid Dan, really enjoy your adventures, keep up the good work, ignore the idiots out there,
Subbed. Just got thrown into this video via UA-cam algorithm, great video well worth the sub.
Great video mate I do like the hot tents....
Excellent, dood!
I'm buying bits of budget kit each month I'd love to escape somewhere have a woodburner, cook meat, get baked, watch movies all out in nature, I like your videos mate I feel like I won't stumble about blind now because of you thank you
Not Cheating , great spot enjoy it , can't beat a bit of snow and those bags of birch are perfect . Hp N yr mate.
Woooooo that chicken curry looks spot on. Keep doing the videos your way . Thats why we love them.
Class mate loving the hot tents.. Just done 1st camp in mine on nye
Absolutely mint mate....loved this one ...cheers

Happy New year to you and your family Dan, I ❤️ watching your channel.
I really enjoyed this video dan liked the food you cooked don’t worry about not filming a lot still turned out great 👍 👍😎
So enjoyed this vid Dan. It was too short!! Happy new Year!
First time watching your channel, really enjoyed, you have a way about you which is very watchable/listenable to, good camera work too, I could almost feel the heat of that fire! 🔥
Cheers mate ! Great video. I got a new channel to watch 😁 . Buzzin. Keep it up.
Welcome to the channel mate
I made myself a hammock hot tent from a DD 4x4 tarp. Added sides and doors. 12 foot by 8 foot. Can fit a table, a chair, along with my hammock and Winnerwell Nomad medium stove. I buy my wood from B&M , car camping at its best. Also have a hot tent lol I like my creature comforts
We are not as free as many other countries, so mostly we are having to follow strict rules, I think that is a nice spot to camp and at £5 very cheap, when I camp I have to bring my wood it's just the way things are in UK or atleast most of UK.
Like some have already said don't worry about using bought wood and such, it's not like your channel is survival based if it was then yeh buying wood be daft and not go down well.
I am buying that tent this month.
