I do a fair bit of camping on campsites, love this tent, certainly going to look at it and cost, don't give a shxt what people say about getting free stuff, you take the time to do these videos and people watch them, good entertainment. Keep them coming.

Showing gear you got for free isn't bragging. Ignore the negative people. If they took the time and effort to make an engaging UA-cam channel they would get things for free too. Keep up the good work and keep showing us the new gear 👍🏻

Who cares if it was free. You are testing it for them and reviewing it for us. I love this tent. We are just as grateful. It's a great item. And if I'm not mistaken that tent should have had a silicone mat for the stove. I have seen other Russian Bear tent reviews and they all had one so if you didn't get one perhaps they will send it to you. Congrats on the new tent, looking forward to you bringing it back out. Hoping you have a very pleasant and adventure filled new year with much success to your channel.

I don't care that you got it for free. I need to see an honest review in the UK before I consider spending my hard earned cash. I do love this tent so much and have seen several UK You Tubers who all love it too. Lots of tents made overseas show them standing up to ridiculously cold temps, but few of them show them standing up to the awful rain and wind we get in the UK. Frantically saving up my pennies now so I can get one. Loved the video, thanks!
I've watched several videos of bushcrafters reviewing this tent and they have ALL been 100% positive!

The tent and stove look like a great set up for winter camping.
That tent is great. I spent the evening in one the other weekend. If you take up one layer of the floor the is velcro sections that you do the ice fishing through. Regards JB.

I'm glad for you that it has an internal umbrella type poles built in. That is a beast. It is too big for one person as it will probably need four people to carry it. Happy 2022 Dan.

To clean the glass. Take a tissue and wet it. Dip in the ashes of the burner and rub the inside of the glass. Then take another tissue and clean until clear again. Great video. Black glas is usually caused by moisture content of the wood.🔥🔥🔥

@@englishwoodsman and to you bud. Keep em coming. Glass will never clean itself. It always builds up. Use the burners own ash to clean the glass. Retired chimney sweep told me 20 years ago. Works perfect. Glass will look like new! Don’t edit the vids either. Down to earth, way forward!🔥

@@englishwoodsman I think the heat problem was yes a good stove but also the quality of the tent keeping the heat in. If we get bad snow, winds or even a storm you need this tent man I'd feel safe in any weather. Always love the steak action even though I can eat them now hope one day I can camp with you I'd pay for the land, steak and beers man.

RBM Outdoors has them for US / Canada markets. This one is called the 4 Season tents, Up-5 model. $1899. They have several other sizes in stock as well including the Up-2 mini if you wanted something smaller but still have the headroom.

Great tent Dan I think this tent is my favorite one so far plus you always have great videos.i just wish I could save up to buying a tent to go camping in it would be so peaceful and fun to go camping.
This is tent to have if you're going to spend any length of time camping anywhere; it would be good to spend vacations in or trips for family
I will a good 2 or 3 nights would be better when using this tent
There should have been a small handle in the kit for when you removed that long pop up handle you screw the small one in to keep the tent from collapsing. It also should have come with a floor mat.

The Russian Bear hot tents are top notch. I have the Russian Bear UP2 hot tent, best tent I ever owned..two 👍's up. BTW,when you remove the center rod,there is a small lock screw, so the tent don't collapse. Also comes with a fire mat for your stove...if not buy a small welding mat for your stove. Thanks for the share mate 👊 💥
The heat protector is there for a reason, if strong wind blows the tent onto the hot flu, then it will be ruined, get a bigger floor matt 🔥👍

Hi Dan , the Russian Bear Hot tents are a Great piece of kit , But only any real use , if you are traveling by Truck or Campervan , as they are very heavy , but you will not get cold in one ! Ever ! ☺

Dan do yourself a favor mate and have a trip down to Wicks or B&Q and grab yourself a fire blanket meant for the kitchen, throw it on the floor and it don't matter about embers falling out of the stove. Great vid and a Happy New Year from out in the colonies. Vegan was quite happy grazing on the grass in his vestibule till you went over and disturbed him! Me, I would be in with you and a large lump of cow and mine would be cooked rare, you lose too much flavor over cooking it. Closing the damper and the draft on the door will slow down the burn causing the stove to burn cooler.

I have seen a few videos on this tent in the last year and I have to say I am impressed. Just the other day I noticed that one of my neighbors has one set up in his backyard, if I see him out I will have to pick his brain about it.

Hi Dan you can get a 3ft square ish fire blanket from tool station for about £12 ,it’s soft and you can fold it to suit,,don’t cut it ,,it will fray

Fire blankets are not the same as heat proof mats so be careful what you buy because I used a fire blanket thinking my floor would be fine and it wasn’t,my tents footprint melted.

Get a Fire blanket for under the stove, they are 1m X1 m, so you can fold it to make a high front to level the stove, love the tent. great content keep them coming.

The stove pipe is a lot hotter than the feet of the stove.
The point of the reflective heat shield is not to protect the tent sides if they blow in, in the wind, they’re there to protect it from the radiant heat of the pipe.
Think Kent survival did a review of the same tent he got sent, and shows how it should all be set up.
Totally agree with the fact that it’s way overkill for the uk. Unless you wanted to set up in a woods and leave it out all winter.
