    For Silverado 2019. Infotainment.
    Music: FLAC, AAC, MP3 (USB MSC mass storage), OGG, 3GP.
    HDD formats: FAT32, NTFS, HFS+.
    USB C+A ports are only 2.0 gen as far as I know., regardless get a 3.0 thumb drive for loading music in on computer.

      Thanks. I was wondering if the park assist was a function of the camera system or a sonic ping that one need sub mariner training to interpret.

      Unfortunately there is no way to upgrade through General Motors. There is a different module and software, but they are moving towards updatable modules so you can keep your mylink system updated with new releases. There might be a third party way to do it but I am not aware of one atm. If there are any changes I will update and make a new video

      Mylink systems are not currently reading wma files (an update might resolve that) files such as mp3, aac, iTunes. Should work perfectly. Make sure to create a music folder, sometimes your media player on your computer creates them if you export your files to a flash drive. Not 100% necessary to make the folders but it makes it easier to browse your infotainment system

      I recently own a 2017 Malibu premier and I was able to tag and artist or song and when on another channel that song came up I was alerted and able to tune into that channel. I now own a 2019 Camaro with the new infotainment 3 system and can not tag an artist or song, any idea's on what I'm doing wrong?

    Is there a way to turn off the audio portion of the infotainment center without turning off the entire infotainment center? I can mute it, but honestly, I don’t listen to music much. Thanks

    • @thechevynerd5039
      @thechevynerd5039  4 роки тому

      Richard Rohrer there is no real way to shut the Audio off other than mute, but I do remember an automatic audio setting where you can turn down the music volume. So each time you turn your car off it will not start music because the volume is low. Let me take a look at it again. Which model of vehicle do you have and year

    I have a 2019 LT Z71 Trailboss Silverado. My iPhone volume automatically turns way down every time it connects to my truck. I would like for my phone’s volume to stay set at whatever level I choose. Can you PLEASE offer any advice.

    • @thechevynerd5039

      Hashtag Just a dad just felt with this recently. This is a safety mechanism on iPhone for Bluetooth. It’s annoying, what’s worse is that when you disconnect it does not raise your volume back on your phone so you may miss calls because the ringer is all the way turned down. So, here is a fix, go to settings, sounds and hepatics and turn off “ change with buttons “ under ringtone settings. That will help keep your ringer up when you leave the vehicle. Other than that it’s an iPhone issue with the silverado software for safety not to blow your ears off or your stereo.

    I have a 2019 Silverado LTZ with the BOSE Audio system. I can't get the radio to access or show my text messages. It also will not give me a notification of a new text message. I have this problem while connected via Bluetooth or Android Auto. I have a Samsung Galaxy S9. I have tried calling the GM Helpdesk, tried everything they wanted me to try but still doing the same thing. Any help would be appreciated. I was able to see texts in my 2017 Silverado, this truck is fully loaded and a shame I can't seem to get it to work in a truck that is almost twice the price of my last truck.

    • @thechevynerd5039
      @thechevynerd5039  4 роки тому

      John Lonadier check your phone first. First thing todo is go to your Bluetooth settings and look at the information about your connection. It should say Chevrolet my link and once you click on it or a side link to it, it should take you to notifications settings. Make sure they are on. If that does not work, please retry pairing device from scratch. Delete it from the my link and do all the normal steps plus the one I just spoke about. After that, if that does not work, go to your nearest Gm dealer for them to do a reset in your my link. Also they may be able to tell you why your notifications are not being pushed. But it’s my experience that the trick has to do with your phone settings.

    • @johnlonadier2328
      @johnlonadier2328 4 роки тому +1

      @@thechevynerd5039 I did that when I was on the phone with the GM Helpdesk. I deleted everything, even Android Auto from my phone. One of the steps that I went thru with them was to make sure my messages notifications was turned on and it was. I guess my next step will be to get it to my dealer and see what they can do up to and including what you said to have it reset. Thanks for getting back with me on this in a timely manner even on a Sunday. Oh one other thing is my phone shows it as myChevrolet not Chevrolet my link.

    • @thechevynerd5039

      John Lonadier Chevrolet my link is the name of the software on the infotainment system. Mychevrolet is the name of the app. On the cell phone. Quick question did the text messaging app ever work on this vehicle since day one? Or no?

    I would strongly recommend NOT buying a Chevy with this Infotainment 3 system. Full of bugs IMO, android auto fails to connect constantly, blue tooth fails to auto-connect constantly. Navigation voice search function is useless, it has failed in every scenario, address, intersection, place of interest, then there is no way to back up a step, you must start over.
    I get trailer light warnings when I have no trailer. After 5 months, I'm seriously considering trading in to get away from this garbage system. Chevy has failed us on this one.

      Sounds like a faulty computer system. Maybe under warranty get it exchanged. My system does nothing like you comment.
