THE most inspiring talk I have heard in a loooong time. For all the critics, so what if there is a little drama, she is delivering a talk that has helped at least one person find their purpose and I'm thankful for that. #positivevibes
Sucks to see all these personal remarks at her in the comments section. People like Romila are changing the world, one step at a time. Let's not sit behind our computer screens and judge who we *think* she is...but take the beautiful lessons she sends out. Good on you, Romila.
A B, yes, what you say definitely seems fair and objective. I'm not fond of the delivery either, but I wouldn't go as far as making statements like this: "da fuck's with her", or calling her a "drama queen". Saying you don't like the delivery is one thing, and absolutely ok - everyone has their own style and it's no one's obligation to like it - but name-calling and making disrespectful personal remarks is another. It's upsetting to see the level people think and behave on. It's not acceptable behaviour, we shouldn't be ok with it (even though it's so common these days) and I bet none of these commenters would have the courage to say that to her face...
She is basically saying to start by learning to breathe, and relax your mind, be still, and find peace through a grateful, positive outlook on your life. The people who need this message most, won't get it because they are focused on judging her, what she's wearing or how she acts. lol... Ironic, huh?
hotlink larry, it's IRONIC INDEED! My theory is... The ones who judge the most, are most likely, GUARANTEED to come back to planet earth after one passes on from this earth. One will continue to come back AGAIN AND AGAIN... until one becomes SO SICK AND TIRED OF JUDGING OTHERS; because IN REALITY... one is ACTUALLY JUDGING oneself. As this woman is... Be alive, animated (vs. dead) Be who you are (vs. scared of your own shadow) Be real (vs. a diluted version of who you are created to be) Be YOU! Because You're ONE OF A KIND! Besides...life is shorter than we think. So you might as well enjoy the ride. Elise aka Godgirl
She is actually one of the best. She talked based on her own experiences and is actually what most modern people feel like which is a result of stress.. This video has a lot of wisdom in it.
Nice. Yoga and meditation are practiced in India since thousands of years, gifted by Indian Sages to mankind. Good to see science is also acknowledgeing it
Brilliant. I already know this wisdom, but need to hear it over and over again until one day I finally put it into practice. Materialism is madness really. Thank you for this well delivered reminder.
More than a talk, she has a talent for comedy and the ability to laugh about her self. Very expressive. And she brings the issue to the point. Thanks - I'm breathing.
What an impactful sermon, speech, teaching, whatever you want to call it. From someone struggling with alot of things and areas in my life to get direction, healing and clarity. This was one of the most important tedtx I found ever and thank you Dr Monia for your journey to helping one person like myself in your teaching of just breathe....attitude of grateful and thankful as a Christian man going through a divorce, losing 2 good paying jobs in last few months. I'm educated, an army veteran and have licensed in couple areas of insurances but struggling. I needed this more than you think. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
2 minutes in and I already thought she was great- so engaging. Then I got to 4:51 WOAH! That is why I’m alive! So real and raw. So courageous and soooo beautiful! I’m in awe. Thank you💐I just bawled my eyes out- so glad I’m not there in the audience right now. If we’re empty all we can give is emptiness.
Great job Madam. Chemical imbalances of the body due to non-alignment of mind, body and spirit give rise to all sorts of negative forces in the society causing havoc in the social life. You are doing a great job really for welfare of the humanity on the globe. ... May God bless you.
Llovely speech . In india yoga is our life style. But now Indians are madly running after western lifestyle. Thanks it strengthened my thoughts. I do yoga and meditetion almost every day with Gayatri Mantra and Prayers
She walks the talk. Being a Doctor myself, happily retired, I know the ravages of burn out and how it played out. I feel terribly embarrassed at times when I look back. All the symptoms she expresses, hers is more definitely more acute, leading to thoughts of cancer and surgery. I meditate everyday, and what a difference it makes to my life, As they say, its simple, but not easy, you have to get out of the way to experience the simplicity, but profoundness of the technique.
I have watched many, many videos from others who teach on mindfulness and breathing, all of whom have been very good teachers in their own style. That Romy speaks dramatically, as if she's is acting, is merely a tool to passionately express her message, which she does succinctly and beautifully. I now aspire to be more like her as a communicator, and I am older than her by far. I thought this video was fantastic and clear. What she is telling absolutely confirms and duplicates what I have also been experiencing through mindful meditation, yoga and breathing. Well, said, Doc! Thanks for sharing so eloquently, with charm and humor.
Excellent - her excitement about self-care and meditation are infectious. Was glad she quoted an old but mostly forgotten stat from the CDC - that 80% of the problems we see our doctors about are either outright caused by, or worsened by stress. I lived a similar story to hers - had a host of physical problems and saw 9 doctors over 2 years. Got all kinds of weird diagnosis and nothing they did helped. Finally I turned to mantra meditation and in 2 months I was completely cured. Our bodies have an amazing ability to heal and re-balance if we just take the time to REST. That is what I call meditation - rest.
Love your delivery and more importantly, your message. The shoes are pretty amazing too! Makes me stop and think that I'm moving way too fast and not slowing down to just BREATHE. More people need to take this to heart!!
Simply a wonderful video. Dr. Romie is so very right....we are here to do more then work for money, power, things, etc. Her soul shines through in this video.
If understanding her is hard for you, it is coming from you. Just stop breathe and relax like she said know that you are on the right path and the answers will come. I am living proof of this. Thank you for that talk Romila Mushtaq
Dear Romila, what you are doing is a very noble endeavor. May god’s blessings keep you healthy and joyful and your life becomes a celebration. May god blossom your consciousness

I was very impressed by your talk and I thank you for expressing a lot of the inner feelings of our community - Ciao, L
Congratulations Romie - An incredible, powerful, impassioned reminder to us all. We don't have to be 'on the edge' to use this wisdom, (although that is often the case so we can truly 'GET' it and the amazing upshot of it all is we love ourselves all over again!

@@mikedowd66 Essentially the rationale is: "it doesn't matter." Eckhart Tolle addressed his reported $80m net worth (and $4m/yr compensation) in a way that made sense. Some people who practice awakening gravitate toward renunciation, depriving themselves of basic elements of living (enough clothing to be warm, enough food to avert huger pangs). They tend to (or can) identify with that suffering rather than learn to not identify with it (which should be the goal: it doesn't matter whether one suffers from not enough, or too much. It doesn't change who you are as the essence of a conscious being. If you identify with either, then you're not as awakened as you can be, presumably want to be). Eckhart said that he doesn't identify with his fortune, and therefore it doesn't matter. He could lose it all today and it wouldn't matter. (I believe that was Osho's perspective too. Just a circumstance he could create for himself among many circumstances. It didn't matter what he did as long as he wasn't identified with his largess, or the opposite renunciation if he'd chosen that instead). That makes sense. But... it sounds _convenient_ too. Charging followers large sums for retreats, books, etc., because "it doesn't matter" doesn't sound quite as reasonable as giving it all away and living the life of a renunciate (which someone could identify with too much too, as an identity, wearing it on their sleeve, "being a renunciate" rather than just a person in the moment. In buddhism, the goal is "the middle way." Recognizing that extremes tend to result from (or in) suffering. Both Eckhart's & Osho's path doesn't seem so middle (compared to say, Ram Dass who reportedly had $200k when he passed away. He'd assigned his book royalties to charities, lived a relatively basic lifestyle). But, for you and me, the middle way is to take what is true and makes sense from them regardless of whether they're perfect or not (by our standards). My judging them is just my own excess. I can see both sides. Better yet, both teachers say things that are very true to me. I don't have to be either/or about their consistency (according to my views).
So true - we hide the stress on the outside but the internal forces take over and before we know it we're holding our breath, deep sighs ALL day long, tiredness....
Its a very breathable talk! I can really feel the power of her spirit the way she deliver every words and movements it seems like im actually sitting there and warchig her inspiring beautiful talk. Thanks a lot for this awesome breath!
I think people should rather ask "What is wrong with me" that I must judge and criticize everyone else! I don't mean to be harsh. Haters and judgers need help! Seriously unhappy people! This woman is wonderful as is anyone who finds something useful and is compelled by their own gratitude and discovery to share with others what so helped them.
ok, wow... words which come to mind are, insightful powerful deep revolutionary freeing & truth - I'm going to follow this amazing person's advice. Thx!!

Meditation is the real deal, broke both of my arms from elbows to wrist in 2012. No therapy only meditation and in 3 months my bones went back in place.
Nice talk. I wish she would realise that daily wear of high pointed heels could bring many pains. of course yoga and meditation help a lot. at the same time wearing flat comfortable shoes helps the heavy working body so much. I was wearing 3 inches pointed heels daily until I start my research and give a heavy load of work to my body on daily basis. then I choose nice comfortable ballerina shoes for daily use, which helped me to a large extent.
I thought this was going to be about my oral hygiene from the title.😂 But seriously I did yoga at my workplace before and I was completely surprised and shocked by the mental and spiritual impact it had on me. I continued doing it outside work. I think your mental attitude going into it and having a teacher who focuses on the meditative aspect of it rather than the flexibility or exercise aspect makes all the difference.
Some breathing yogic exercises are : 1. Kapalbhati pranayam 2. Anulom Vilom 3. Bhramari These all exercises when done consistently and with discipline will do wonders.. One may try on their own interests.. **I've tested all of these exersise and commented thereon**

Her delivery is infectious. I couldn't help but listen to every word...
and she speaks the truth.
Z Kat too much of a drama 🎩 Queen ♕
too much acting, very american style, just state the purpose with true passion and not acting, and then yes, she would have perfect presentation
She is actually one of the best. She talked based on her own experiences and is actually what most modern people feel like which is a result of stress.. This video has a lot of wisdom in it.
Thank you Romila. I loved how expressively present you were in every moment of your talk; a great example of mindfulness. You are an inspiration.

The best definition of mindfulness - breathe!!

1. Self care- do something you like
2. Gratitude- show gratitude to things happen to you today
3. Breathe- sit still and breathe
Thank you Dr. Mushtaq for this great presentation - your delivery style is very lively and attention catching. I just wished you were there when I did my neurology rounds presentations being warned that "neurologists do not have a very developed sense of humor". I was very impressed by your talk and I thank you for expressing a lot of the inner feelings of our community - Ciao, L
hhhhh
Gratitude IS happiness! Anyway she is perfectly right. Yoga has changed my life. It's incredible but it's true. Maybe just for that
She spoke about very things directly, excellent presentation
This is such a beautiful presentation!
This woman is talking a lot of truth here......albeit like an actress.
Namaste💜
Yeah it was kind of an act. Looks like she is a dramatic person.
😂
She was probably nervous and went through her talk a million times beforehand so it came across as “too rehearsed” here. Still an amazing talk
Such a beautiful video.
The way she expressed herself is amazing...really very good speaker.
Beautiful presentation on one step breathing technique for a healthy and blissful life,Thank you Romilla Madam
Such a great, awakening teaching! Thanks so much for this.
Congratulations Romie - An incredible, powerful, impassioned reminder to us all. We don't have to be 'on the edge' to use this wisdom, (although that is often the case so we can truly 'GET' it and the amazing upshot of it all is we love ourselves all over again!
She is so on target! What she is saying is what is going to inspire the planet.
Very good speaker. Likable and able to connect with audience. Thank you for very useful message.

Stillness through meditation...for inner freedom
I have realized it
Meditation is the real deal, broke both of my arms from elbows to wrist in 2012. No therapy only meditation and in 3 months my bones went back in place.
Engaging and subliminally provocative!
Thanks
This is absolutely resonating.Awesome💯👌
I love this..... this explains my life right now. Thank you!!!
Indebted to India for this wisdom on Yoga
Brilliant... this is the truth. Breathe ,, thank you 👌
Excellent very well explained. Thank you so much.
It’s possible she doesn’t always wear them too
excellent !!! wonderful !! Thank you too❤
That's my Homey...Dr. Romie!! I will breathe.
Really aswsome. I do meditation everyday, unknowingly the advantages.
Thank you very much mam.

A beautiful soul this lady xx
All of man's difficulties are caused by his inability to sit, quietly, in a room by himself.
I don't completely understand this comment. But it definitely is worth a thumbs up.
Just provide me a bed and listen to me snoring
Blaise Pascal French philosopher in the 1600. Now that is true wisdom. I bet it came to him while he was sitting quietly in a room by himself.
Man's problem is to look for simple answers!
Alex Mengo **Yup Im wiLLinG to beT moneY on iT.!** 💯💰👍👏
I thought this was going to be about my oral hygiene from the title.😂 But seriously I did yoga at my workplace before and I was completely surprised and shocked by the mental and spiritual impact it had on me. I continued doing it outside work. I think your mental attitude going into it and having a teacher who focuses on the meditative aspect of it rather than the flexibility or exercise aspect makes all the difference.
Some breathing yogic exercises are :
1. Kapalbhati pranayam
2. Anulom Vilom
3. Bhramari
These all exercises when done consistently and with discipline will do wonders..
One may try on their own interests..
**I've tested all of these exersise and commented thereon**
Thanks a lot for sharing DR. I really know it works, and planning on learning more to teach and to share. Thanks again
